whoa... would love to hear THAT one!!!

hi Hazel , don't take my word for it girl to each her own. I think the reason why I said I prefer the non-album version of Sleep Alll Day is because, I've heard it first that way, and so the studio version is still growing on me

I found a purdy darn cool site where you could download Java Joe's videos (from www.jasonmraz.com)

    www.unclecrispy.com

    and also from www.jasonmraz.com

Grace - - I know that you have yet to recieve those DMB shows, but I just thought I'd let you know that I got a burned copy of Live and Sold Out (thanks to Lauren of thejmtp), I will be sending PJ's long delayed package hopefully by next month and I will include the Mraz shows that I have in there..

..I'll also throw in some Ari Hest and some Coldplay...

and a JM show for Melissa Lilac_wine ....

Mraz is also going to be in The Early Show Jan. 5, 2003 ...yeepeee!!!

I'm checking out some other Mraz tunes and the song 1000 things is starting to be one of my favorites...

..and once again, it was just Mraz on acoustic and Toca playing the djembe but for them to pull a great song despite the lack of a production gloss over...I am impressed ...

and did I mention that this song is great!!!!

    here's the lyrics from www.jasonmraz.com

    1000 things
words & music by jason mraz

I'm overjoyed and over loved and feeling lucky
like a little boy who's hiding under covers
and looking to discover any way to play the part inside his darkened cave

well the meaning of life it starts at the nightlight
close your eyes and hope to see mine

well I've seen a thousand things in one place
but I stopped my counting when I saw your face
erasing memory I feel as though I've never seen a face before
until I saw your eyes smiling back at me thru my tears
I've been counting all these years
Now suddenly the thousand things I've seen were
nothing more than dreams of you and me

you and me quietly at a stand still
fortunately you will kiss me and I'll kiss you back
fact of the matter of is that I don't know what the latter is
that I always wanted to kiss you but
I always wanted to run from you
Because I always wanted to miss you
And that I've always wanted to come for you

    So how do you do?

Post RECCENTLY CONVINCED JASON MRAZ FAN WANTING IMMEDIATE ATTENTION...

i give a hand to all of you dmb:slash:john mayer:slash: and most recently, this guy jason mraz fans. suddenly, i want to join the bandwagon...

you guys will make good salesmen. i say this to all the world: im going to hunt for jason mraz's cd tomorrow ... he better be as good as you make him out to be!

but from all the things that i have read about him here and in his webbie (freak... i actually browsed through his whole webbie!) well, he looks promising...if he turns out to be my new obsession after my recent beatles madness (i wonder why!?!?!) well, i give the credit to you guys!!

    wish me luck, y'all...

ps: is that guy ari hest any good? do tell, do tell...

is jason mraz going to be on letterman anytime soon? i feel as if i NEED to hear him live. i don't download stuff anymore. it's too tedious. the only stuff i download nowadays are john mayer stuff and i've stopped since i'm pretty sure i have everything.

earthengirl: yep, from what i've heard so far he's pretty good

oh and people, i found this to be funny.
RT has just started playing sleep all day 2 weeks ago. the first time i heard it, the girl dj (Coreen) asked the guy dj (Joe Schmoe): who's that artist?

    Joe: i won't tell you

    Coreen: why not?

JOe: because... you might tell the people next door, over at magic (note: TM, they're mortal karibal in the biz) and they'll start playing it as well

funny ain't it? kasi i wanted to tell them right then and there that "excuuuuuuuse me, but i've been listening to that song since the album FIRST CAME OUT! jeesus..."

and props to RX for playing that song waaaaaaay ahead of everybody else!

hi Hazel - someday soon, he'll be on letterman

and it's confirmed, Jason Mraz 1-29-03, Slims,San Francisco.....wooohoooo!!!!!!! Now I better have money by then...I'm thinking it'll cost no more than $20, maybe even $10, and f*ck, if I can't afford to get myself a couple of $10 tix, then I'm the lamest punk alive

hi fly_earthengirl, I think I got it right this time , yay!!! Go check him out, he has fun tunes up his sleeves, and I'm talking about Mraz . He has a bunch of other songs that aren't in this current album. I'm not that familiar with all of them but a few non-album songs I'd like to recommend:

    1000 things
    Dream Life of Rand McNally
    Sleeping to Dream

and as for Ari Hest, he has a couple of albums out from what I've heard " Come home" and his most recent "Story after story". I'm planning on buying both this month, I've heard quite a number of his songs, and I have 1 show of his. If you want to check him, try downloading "Caught up in your love" If Mraz is kinda "high pitched", Ari has that deep..sexy..solid voice, as oppose to Mayer's smokey voice. He also did a cover for No Such Thing. He's also a pretty good guitar player but of course, nothing tops The Mayer

*damn it! PEx disabled the search function again!!!!

hi Grace no no, I'm passing on Lauren's good deed because she gave, yes simply gave me those copies, and since you're the one who were asking us about it, I think it's just fair that those copies go to you...and of course, we all could spread some Mraz-love from there

let's get set then to go there

You guys, I finally heard Sleep all day on RX!! At first, I wasn't really paying attention to the music (because of the stupid driver ahead of me who's signalling left, but was trying to go the other way...duh!) then when he got to the chorus part, I was like Yehey! It's JM!!! It really made my day. And it's a good thing coz it's MONDAY!!!

Would you believe I don't have his CD yet? I'll probably get it as soon as this holiday rush is over. I hate going to the malls before xmas, what with all these wall to wall people. I'm telling you, I'll blow my xmas bonus on just CDs and books. I just hope I still have money to spend by that time.

Amen to that!!! go to his website and listen to clips of his songs. Grabe, sobrang teaser. If only I had the money, I'd take advantage of their 2 Ari Cds for only $20!!! He's very very good...

i totally LOVE RT!!!! sleep all day is getting massive airplay (i have NO IDEA why this passenger seat song is getting more requests, but the djs love mraz more)

guess what??? they just played a LIVE VERSION OF SLEEP ALL DAY at around 4pm today. alanranch (the dj) was all praises for this one. it was supposed to be played last week pa, but the djs in the chatroom (yes i chat with them) are afraid kasi the live version had some mraz swearing in between. i told them "I DON'T CARE! PLAY THE FRIGGIN SONG!"

and they did. 7 days later

anyhow, after that, i was sooooo excited i just slumped in my chair. and minutes later, texts started pouring in from the listeners, and alanranch was like "everyone likes this version". and then they played "back to you" the berkeley version, giving a special shoutout to me

i am so happy today *hugs self*

holy crap, sorry for the double post...
pero forgot to say this RT anecdote (yes, RT again)

after sleep all day was played, joe schmoe said this:

"you can catch the artist who sang this song at the tavern on the square. sometimes, he can also be found at san mig. his name is PAOLO SANTOS, aka jason mraz"

(but then he goes on to say he's kidding. man he cracked me up!!!!)
