Can someone recommend a place to do chlamydia testing, would like somewhere where results are known within 30 minutes.

None of the social hygine clinics do chlamydia tests, only gonorhrea.

i was treated for chlamydia sa isang clinic sa cubao last jan 23, 2012 pero meron akong clear vaginal discharge from time to time hindi rin foul smelling noong tuesday may konting" laway like" na blood na sumama sa urine ko. saan po ba ako pwede magpa retest? sa saccl sa san lazaro daw po pero di ko alam ang operating hours at standard operating procedure kung paano.
help naman po thanks!

Hi, di ako sure kung may gonorrhea ako or wala.

I'm a female btw. Nagpaurinalysis ako, okay naman ang WBC at leukocytes.

Nagpaurine culture din ako, pero ang sabi dun sa lab, yung urine culture daw pala nila ay for bacteria in UTI not n. gonorrhoea.

Wala naman akong ibang nararamdamn. Ang napansin ko lang mei light yellow discharge ako. Hindi naman sya madami. Unti lang pero may stain kasi sa underwear ko.

Chineck ko yung sa partner ko, minilk ko sya, clear discharge naman sya. Although 3 beses ko palang nacheck yun.

Do you think meron akong gono?

I would not be this dismissive of gonorrhea. Gonorrhea is indeed easy to cure by antibiotics, but you have to take the right antibiotics, not accidentally by the antibiotics you took for your cough. While it does not often have complications for men, one possible complication is sterility -- and no men would like that complication.

So, my advice is to see a doctor when you have a suspicious discharge from your penis. By the way, the doctor will also test you for HIV because it is a known fact that those who were infected by gonorrhea would be more susceptible for the HIV virus if the person had continued his unprotected behavior.

I agree with ateo. I experienced this so i know that there are special antibiotics to cure gono. I experienced high fever for two days, nasusuka, walang gana kumain. Then i decided to go to the emergency. They tested my urine and found high amt of pus and some blood. Though nde nila sinabi na gono, the doctor prescribed 1 strong antibiotic for gono. I felt better on the 2nd day of the medication.

Guys, ask ko lang po kung magkano at saan ang murang blood test ng STD. Yung lahat na po, package. Or anong magandang paraan maka tipid? Punta na lang sa mga blood donation centers? Diba check naman muna nila dugo mo kung may sakit ka o wala? Gusto ko lang kasi malaman ang status ng dugo ko without spending too much money para sa lab tests.

STD is a generic category for all sexually transmitted diseases kasama na ang HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis, pubic lice, genital warts, etc. I think ang tanong mo ay kung magka-STD sa mga common na STD automatic ba na positive din sa HIV. Ang sagot ay NO. Halimbawa nagkaroon ka ng gonorrhea, hindi ibig sabihin ay meron ka na ring HIV. Dapat kang suriin sa dalawang sakit na yan. Ang gonorrhea ay mas madaling makahawa kaysa HIV kaya kahit na merong gonorrhea ang isang tao ay posibleng wala namang HIV. Posible rin kasi na infected partner ay merong gonorrhea pero wala namang HIV.

Pero ang dalawang sakit na yan ay tinatawag merong co-morbidity. Ibig sabihin na posibleng magkasama sa isahang sexual act. Parang sa boksing, pwede kang ma-black-eye at matanggalan ng ipen sa isang bout lang. Di ibig sabihin na kung natanggal ang ipen mo ay meron ka ring black eye, pero malamang na magkasama nga ang dalawa.

So kung ang isang tao ay merong gonorrhea, i-recommend ng doktor na i-test rin siya sa HIV. Remember that HIV cannot be tested immediately, so the patient will have to come back for HIV.
