Herpes causes painful ulcers once the blister bursts. I don't know what you have exactly, since you gave me a poor history and no physical exam to speak of. The clinic is treating you as a case of gonorrhea, not syphilis. It's a more logical diagnosis over syphilis.

The laboratory results are just gram stain results, and it just tells me that the specimen was properly collected and that it's not a staphylococcal or streptococcal (i.e. skin) infection. It has not yet eliminated STD. The culture and sensitivity results, which come out after 3 days, is the test that the doctors are more interested in, because it will most probably pinpoint what you have.

if this is indeed gonorrhea then it is has an atypical presentation. most cases of gonorrhea that i've seen presented with dysuria and urethral discahrge. i have yet to see one with ulceration which is more common to syphillis. i hope Tmac will be generous enough to update us on the final diagnosis once the result of the culture and sensitivity is in. after all this will be a learning process for all of us.

this is the more common mode of transmission. in minority of cases however it can be through "skin pores" particularly at the base of the penis. i have seen a patient with syphylis, pubic lice and fungal infection transmitted via base of the penis but this is the first time however i heard gonorrhea via same route.......

Would someone enlighten us here, does STD (Chlamydia, as it was told in the papers) commonly presents as profuse bleeding?

Commonly STD presents as cervical discharge, irritation, itchiness, even asymptomatic at times, but profuse bleeding? Well, just asking....

Chlamydial infection CAN present with bleeding. Furthermore, it may lead to complications like pelvic inflammatory diseases in women and epididymitis in men, as well as possible fertility problems. However, these are uncommon and present only when left untreated.

vaginal bleeding can be a presentation of chlamydial infection but this is not common. the more common presentation is vaginal discharge, pain, fever of unknown origin or itchiness of the area.

Have you had sex with a high-risk person such as a prostitute? If not, and your sexual partner is monogamous, it's probably just skin irritation.

I have friends who are OB-Gynecologists and they tell me that they have not encountered Chlamydial infection presenting as PROFUSE vaginal bleeding. I've read some books, and no I have not seen profuse bleeding as among it's symptoms.
We were thinking along a different line.... but forget it!

what kind of discharge un? i mean what color? thanks Ü kc medyo there's itching rin sa vagina ko and lately nga there has been brown discharge...tapos dun sa itching area, parang may small na bumps sya but its not painful when i urinate..tska no color un bumps...im so scared!!! :c

i've been urinating more frequently after i making out. its been a month and i've seen several doctors na. my last urine test is normal daw kasi 0-2 ang pus cells and red blood cells ko and negative yung protein and sugar.

pero i'm still urinating more than usual, although now di tulad ng dati kasi hindi ko talaga mapigil. wala naman akong napapansin na discharge. or i'm not sure

ano ba talaga dapat yung discharge na yun, na freely sia tumutulo? does it smell bad? sticky ba siya? thick ba siya or clear? kasi it doesn't come out naman. sometimes when i squeeze it out like pareho dun sa toothpaste, saka lang naman lumalabas, and usually this happens in the wee hours in the morning

kasi pag umaga, hapon or gabi. wala naman ako napapansin.

up to now wala pa rin ako pain in urination. i just urinate more often and that thing na hindi ko alam kung pus discharge ba yun or what

i just need your opinion on this.

It's pretty hard to judge. Better see a urologist for your problem so that you can be examined fully.
