wow. there's a thread for Patterson fans! count me in then! i'm a HUGE fan. i've been a follower of the WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB series and read the latest installment 8th Confession in almost 2 days! i sooooo love Patterson because he's such a brilliant writer. his books are fast-paced, the twists in the plot are really shocking and yes, he always keeps you at the edge of your seat. always keeps me awake 'til the wee hours of the morning. and the reason of my poor eyesight!

THE MURDER OF KING TUT - JAMES PATTERSON & MARTIN DUGARD

MASTER OF SUSPENSE JAMES PATTERSON REOPENS THE ULTIMATE COLD CASE --- THE UNSOLVED DEATH OF KING TUT.

    A secret buried for centuries

Thrust onto Egypt's most powerful throne at the age of nine, King Tut was challenged from the first day of his reign. The veil of prosperity could not hide the bitter rivalries and jealousy that flourished among the Boy King's most trusted advisers. Less than a decade after his elavation , King Tut suddenly perished, and in the years and centuries that followed, his name was purged from Egyptian history. To this day, his death remains shrouded in controversy.

The keys to an unsolved mystery

Intrigued by what little was known about Tut, and hoping to unlock the answers to the 3,000 year-old mystery, Howard Carter made it his life's mission to uncover the pharaoh's hidden tomb. He began his search in 1907 but encountered countless setbacks and dead ends before he finally discovered the long-lost crypt.

    The clues point to murder

Now, in The Murder of King Tut, James Patterson and Martin Dugard dig through stacks of evidence --- X-rays, Carter's files, forensic clues, and stories told through the ages --- to arrive at their own account of King Tut's life and death. The result is an exhilarating true-crime tale of intrigues, passion, and betrayal that casts fresh light on the oldest mystery of all.

Of all the Alex Cross series this one is the least I liked. Ibang iba yung style ng writing and Alex Cross was beaten up so many times I myself grew tired of the whole thing.

    Thank you for asking.

4 out of 5 stars for me. I still think that THE BIG BAD WOLF was the worst as it kept going and going...the next one was the improvement though.

I enjoyed reading CROSS COUNTRY as the chapters were short.

Patterson is aware that there are no tigers in Africa...he mentioned in twice in the book and like what he said it was a symbol.

Also as to the beatings he received isn't it reminiscent of the Red Corner movie....and of the possibility that this could happen in countries where there is no respect for human beings?

Also the title itself has a double meaning.

    Well that's just me.

only comment was that there wasn't too much of Sampson...

Ah nasakyan ko naman na in the middle of the book. Actually natatakot na akong mag karoon ng next new cross sa series. Medyo endeared ka na sa mga characters I'm afraid baka may mawala o mamatay eh like Samson, Nana Mama or the kids.

ALEX CROSS'S TRIAL - JAMES PATTERSON & RICHARD DILALLO

THE IRRESISTIBLE STORY ---PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE GENERATIONS --- OF A COURAGEOUS FIGHT FOR FREEDOM BY ONE OF ALEX CROSS'S ANCESTORS

    SEPARATED BY TIME

From his grandmother, Alex Cross has heard the story of this great-uncle Abraham and his struggles for survival in the era of the Klu Klux Klan. Now Alex passes the family tale along to his own children in a novel he's written --- a novel called Trial .

    CONNECTED BY BLOOD

As a lawyer in Washington, DC, early in the 1900s, Ben Corbett represents the toughest cases. Fighting against oppression and racism, he risks his family and his life in the process. When President Roosevelt asks Ben to return to his hometown to investigate rumors of the resurgence of the Ku Klux Klan there, he cannot refuse.

    UNITED BY BRAVERY

When he arrives in Eudora, Mississippi, Ben meets the wise Abraham Cross and his beautiful daughter, Moody. Ben enlists their help, and the two Crosses introduce him to the hidden side of the idyllic Southern town. Lynchings have become commonplace, and residents of the black quarter live in constant fear. Ben aims to break the reign of terror --- but the truth of who is really behind it could break his heart. Written in the fearless voice of Detective Alex Cross, Alex Cross's "Trial" is a gripping story of murder, love, and above all, bravery.

I think it's about time they should make a movie out of the When the wind blows and the Lake house . And if everything went well they can continue with the Maximum ride series.. I'll be excited as to who will play Max..

Yes, I think so but I want to see the Maximum Ride movie first. There are speculations that Kristen Stewart will play Max!!! We fans say it's a BIG NO>>>>> Why would they include such most terrible actress ever. Sana wala ni isa man sa TWILIGHT cast ang magkaroon ng role sa movie.

Maximum ride agad? Panu yun? Mag prequel ng When the wind Blows and The Lake house after matapos ang series ng maximum ride? Wag naman.. I think Dakota Fanning can do justice being a pubescent max.. Got to have an actress who's around 12 years old or could play it.. Medyo touchy lang yung scene kase Max had her first sexual experience at the age of 12 and laid eggs!
