it depends on culture and how one is brought up. It can be both kasi.

Let say I grew up in the US, pero Chinese family ko (like most of my friends and schoolmate). Most of us would consider na modern and liberal yun thinking coz we are expose in a society like SEX in the City type of stuff. But it doesn't mean na we can behave like Samantha in SEx in the City na paiba iba lalake almost every week. Nandun pa rin yun conservative side because of culture.
