Still the #1 most influential book I've ever read. At P75.00, mura na talaga. I bought this book 3x already, and the 2nd time I also bought it at Booksale for around P90.00 I think.

Medyo mabigat siya, but not as heavy as, say, Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum.

It's a bit of a slog through in the middle, but towards the end the conclusion is nothing short of, like, a super-duper space kablooie.

If you want to read it online (though I strongly suggest you support the author by purchasing a copy of his book), you can at:

Yuck, lalo yata akong nanghinayang nyan.

My brother is there at Gensan right now to visit my other brother and his family (yung pinuntahan ko recently). Also to see my new-born niece. Actually, he’s attending a two-day seminar at Davao at sasaglit lang siya dun ngayong gabi at uuwi din bukas.

I thought of texting him to visit the bookshop at Gaisano to somehow buy the book for me. Kaya lang parang mahirap kase maaga yata siyang aalis to make habol sa bday ng mama ko sa 16th. Almost 12 hours kase yung trip papauwi.

I want to own the book, not just read it somewhere.

Thanks, anyway, for the info (the link). Pero di ko naintindihan yung sinabi mo, English kaseh.

I just wonder how heavy it is. I mean, the book. Di ko naman napansin nung binuhat ko nah.

margaret atwood / the blind assassin (hardcover) = P299 (originally priced at P600! book jacket's all dirty though, but who cares?)
    v.s. naipaul / miguel street = P335
    w. somerset maugham / mrs. craddock P240
don delillo / the body artist = P315
    haruki murakami / sputnik sweetheart = P372
harold bloom / how to read and why = 551
jessica zafra / twisted ii = P166 (for the bathroom )
which comes to a total of P2278. on the upside, i saved almost a thousand bucks.! on the downside, i just spent P2278. jeebus. if powerbooks wasn't on sale, i wouldn't have been suckered into buying way more than usual under the pretense that i'm actually 'saving'.
