I love love love children's books. I'm currently reading Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan and I've read the popular children's lit like Harry Potter etc. Pero I think nothing compares pa din to older children's lit. Harry Potter etc are just popular pero when it comes to substance iba pa din sila C. S. Lewis or Madeleine L'Engle.
One of my goals is to read all the Newbery Medal nominees and winners.

Sorry winners and runners up lang. There's a list on the ALA website.
I've read siguro 20 from the list. The older books are difficult to find minsan. Not all of them are popular. Usually sa ebay and sa secondhand bookshops or amazon.

There, they find a world of treachery and magic in which a young king and queen struggle to keep peace while Grank, their most loyal friend and supporter, studies embers and flames in a distant land. Then a desperate plea comes from the king, and Grank rushes to the aid of his noble friends.
