I worked for La Tondena for a couple of years and it wasn't bad. If there was a company I would like to try that's based here though, it's Ayala Corp.
If you're talking about multinational companies, Unilever, Intel and J&J are the ones that I'd send resumes to if ever. Peace. [This message has been edited by Kaboom! (edited 08-12-1999).]

I think I'd want to work in Unilever. It's a multinational company and the chances of promotion are very high. And as a management trainee, you can really get a hefty amount in your paycheck.

What's the big deal with P&G anyway? Most of my friends who wanted to get there so much after they graduated eventually either regretted their decision, or felt that it wasn't all that great anyhow.
As for Iber, I hear that thier training is limited to smiply supervising users while they themselves are undergoing the training. Sort of an assistant to a trainee's job. I hear it's not all that great unless you are sent abroad. |

Hey guys,
I'm interested to know what's the best IT / Internet company to work for in PI? Post the URLs too if you don't mind. Thanks! ![]() [This message has been edited by webpinoys (edited 08-11-1999).] |

Nix: Salary-wise, P&G is up there. I think their starting salary is around the PhP 15,000-20,000 range. Plus they have a lot of benefits. My cousin works there and he had a car 6 months after he started, thanks to the car plan benefit.
P&G can also be agressive when it comes to hiring people. In UP for example, they run after the top CompSci grads every year (and more oft than not, they succeed in getting them.) I'm sure they do the same thing in other schools. [This message has been edited by Ada (edited 08-11-1999).] |

If you want to work 15 hour days, can stand people belittling your work and be around weirdos who talk nothing but movies, music and computer games all day, advertising is the best job for you.

Hi Webpinoys!
I'm a technical support engineer. I can't go into what we exactly do but we basically provide support for IT companies in the Asia-Pacific region. Regarding the ad agency, thanks for the offer. I'll keep it mind. |

Some interesting companies to work for, according to people who're there:
Du Pont (in the marketing division, not the R&D); JAKA (Enrile's company...very diversified; again, go into marketing) I'd also like to handle the marketing of a product, say for Selecta, SMC, or Purefoods. Interesting work. |

Sorry for the late reply, Ada but here are my answers to your queries...
1. Yes, I work for a Makati-based, multinational ad agency. But fortunately, we don't have arrogant expats looking over our shoulders. 2. You're more than welcome to join us! I'll be more than glad to meet you!!! |

Hi Jacob!
I appreciate the invitation. I'll definitely keep it in mind if I decide to give Makati a chance. Right now, I'm anti-Makati since it's far from where I live and I don't think I can stand commuting. Maybe when the MRT's up and running eh? Does anyone know if MTV has a local production group and how to go about contacting them? |

Hey the local IT industry is booming and web development companies are popping-up left and right. But if I had a chance to work in a really established/respected IT firm id go for:
- IberPacific - AC - James Martin + Co |

For many, the best company is a small one that no one has ever heard of.
