tried Diane, okay rin raw ang Yasmin. mga 4 - 6 months bago makita ang effect. me konting factor nga lang raw na baka ikataba mo. pero luminis talaga ang face ko. as in pantay ang kulay, no pimples. needed to stop it nga lang kasi i wanted to get pregnant.

I have severe acne problem. I have tried applying ointments but none of them work. Thinking of taking oral medication, can you recommend a brand?

Try taking birth control pills. Many women drink this especially those whose pimple
problems didn’t end in their adolescence.

Consult first with a dermatologist. its not safe to self medicate.

  6. #1386
@maecil Really? How does it work?

  7. #1387
Pill are also used to treat polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal disorder that can cause male characteristics (facial hair, hair loss, acne) as well as obesity and infertility, making your skin smoother.

me too i have acne problem ano po masuggest niyo na gamitin?

  9. #1389
    I agree with @saweverything.

Consult a dermatologist first. I'm sure if u really need to take BC Pills, they would advice you.

Ikaw na mismo nagsabi na 'severe acne problem'. Baka mas makasama kung mag self-medicate ka.

I generally have a good skin during college (of course one/few breakouts once in a while) until last quarter of the year before graduation, I had a progressive acne flareups, tho most of it were comedonal but what concerns me most are the pustules - they generally consider this as Mild to Moderate type of Acne.

Maybe some will agree if I say that the discoloration/hyperpigmentation accounts to most concerns about Acne. Pimple without marks would just be fine with me if that's the case. (I just wish)

I started asking my friends with the best dermatologists in town. I was pointed to a commercialized Clinic - DERM Clinic. I took an effort to convince my mom and bring me there for consultation. YES - don't hesitate to ask your parents, they are always the best partner during treatments. They will say whether your skin is improving or not, in a way you can validate the effectiveness of the treatments.

So we went to the Clinic and met Dra. Francisco (if my memory still serves me right). She immediately assessed my skin and suggested Acne Peel. A combination of facial massage, an exfoliating mask, application of peeling sol'n and cleaning procedure - 2500. She then prescribed topical meds: Clindamycin lotion and Nu Derm Glycolic Acid cream plus oral Vitamin A. I went home handing them my 7k+.

The first week after my very first cleaning was rough. As I am not oriented to how my skin will react, how long before it heals and expected a minimal to no breakouts.

Apparently, I did not get the desired results, in fact, I got more breakouts.

My clinical instructor while in a duty - yes, I'm a nurse - referred me to a Derma near Morayta. My CI specifically recommends her because she's been in the practice for quite long time and receiving positive feedbacks from her clients.

A day after my birthday, we went to the said clinic at Mary Chiles Hospital Medical Arts Bldg. They immediately accommodated us and took my personal profile. Dra. Angelina Aquende, in her late 50's, started assessing my skin and recommended another cleaning since it's 3 weeks from my first and last treatment at Dermclinic.

I was given a med regimen like: Kojic Soap, Acnevan 2 (a combination of whitening agent, Vit. A & C, and Alum), Oil Minus, Erythromycin Lotion and a cream which is supposed to help with the marks. And she also told me to stop the meds I acquired from DermClinic. Here's what surprised me most: the consultation + cleaning + meds = 800+ pesos only. Because they'll no longer charge you for the the consultation if you'll undergo any treatment.

In 3 weeks, my skin had a significant improvement. One to no breakouts but I still had cleanings every 2/3 weeks. 1 1/2 months later, my face was cleared, "back to normal", my friends even said that it's more clearer than before.

Thanks for reading if anyone did. peace!

Dr. Angelina Aquende is also my derma. 1st session lang ako pumunta, ang sakit kasi ng pricking, hahaha. but effective. so affordable, money not wasted talaga! i don't have pimples anymore but may mga scars. okay kaya diamond peeling sa kanya??

ako I'm still taking it, kasi ayaw ko pa mabuntis eh... just want to be safe...

  18. #1398
well at least 2 in 1 pala ang objective mo, hehehe, friend nag tatake padin siya, takot niya kasi bumalik mga acne niya....

  19. #1399
question pag nag take ba ng pill dapat tuloy tuloy na pag inom? if nag stop ba ako babalik ulit yung pimples?

  20. #1400
i got acne problems as well, pano kung lalake? lol. di naman ako pwede mag pills. hahaha.

can anyone suggest something for us guys naman?

    thanks.
