You can wait for them to fade if you want. It takes time, though.
Do i really have to wait for it to fade? Is there no other way to remove it?
Short of going to a dermatologist and undergoing chemo- or dermabrasion, none. As I've said already, you just wait it out.
well try whitening creams. they do help.
try using tea tree oil from body shop...effective daw sabi nila coz tea tree is an ingredient in curing pimples![]()
If your scars are very minor, you can try tretinoin A 0.05%, applied once at bedtime, or once at night every other day, if your skin gets irritated with once a night. It takes time to see the results, though. Just avoid sun exposure once you're using this product--it will cause you to burn.
a non-invasive management for acne and scars is just to leave it alone. but what's your approach if acne keeps on coming out, thus, forming scars time and again?Originally posted by TaRa

i advice you to take oral antibiotic( such as doxycycline), topical antibiotic (erythromycin), and retin-A.
these medications will not only help you get rid of pimples but also can rapidly efface the scars.

the same lang ba yun medication niya sa common pimples?
More often than not, yes.
Do whitening stuff (lotions/astringents/creams/etc.) help remove acne scars? Their advertisements claim that they do. So do they?
thanks Ira.![]()
The problem is, even if you use them, the element of time would have also worked to make your acne scars fade, so you don't really know if the product you used was effective or not. They will not make your scars disappear, just probably help it become less prominent. I'm personally not gung-ho about these advertisements. They will claim to make you into a Miss Universe candidate overnight if they think they can get away with it.
You're welcome.
doc ira, anong cause kng bakit pati sa katawan nagkakapimples? tnx...
That's because our body, not just our face, also has sebaceous glands which can be blocked. The same principle with facial acne applies with acne on the body.
why is it only at my back(pimples) none in my chest?just notice.
Individual differences, much the same way as some people have lots of acne on the face and none on the body. There's no significance with that kind of situation.
Hi Doc,
Just curious. Since my derma doesn't like pricking (and I don't like it either) as a form of therapy for pimples so he prescribed me medicines (loads of). The period of therapy almost took me a long time (about 2 months ++), and surely, my condition has certainly improved for now (though am still under treatment only for the scars. He prescribed some ointment for me).
My question is, is the drug only meant to stop the pimples from coming out now? Do I have any guarantees that that it will never come back again in the future, considering the length of the therapy period?
Second, will my body still respond to medicines even if I am taking it for a long time na? Kasi he gave me oral medication which I took almost everyday, twice to thrice daily over the course of treatment. I'm afraid that my body will get resistant doon sa medicines which he prescribed (pero so far naman, my condition has improved tremendously).
I also happen to notice that I get more pimples during summer time when it's so hot and humid out here. But winter time, my skin doesn't have any problems. Does the skin take a lot of time to adjust to weather/climatic conditions (kasi I was thinking my skin is used to tropical weather sa Phils. tapos dito ngayon eh 4 seasons kami kaya my skin could be having a hard time adjusting to the sudden changes in temp.)?
Thanks again for the time.
I'm afraid I can't answer your questions without knowing what medications (generic names) your physician prescribed you.
