I agree. Is the company stable? Will the revenue grow? How much % is the growth? Also, aside from the fundamentals which will tell us what stocks to buy, there is the trend will tell us when to buy/sell.

Before you venture into trading, please get the proper education first. I know there are lots of trainings already available for technical analysis. I think www.absolutetraders.com offers training.

Personally I don't have time to do my own analysis so I paid for a stock update subscription from Truly Rich Club. You can visit www.trulyrichclub.com. I suggest you download/read the ebook My Maid Invests in the Stock Market.

Thanks sa insights dom1 and fasttrack.

Im not really a newbie. I would just want to know the considerations of other PEX members when they buy shares of stock.

Now, I consider myself as a value investor. But, I dont know much on the technical investing side. Or, what Peter Lynch refer to as "the science of wiggles". Also, i would like to know much about the ins and outs of investing in the mining sector.

Now, my PRIMARY CONSIDERATIONS in buying a stock are:
    1. Low p/e ratio thus, a low price.
    2. Increasing eps.
    3. Low debt.
    4. Either, a wide moat, a monopoly, a huge market share or a distinct brand.
    5. Preferably a blue chip.

I have no much considerations on selling.

a lot of seminars are available for beginners like you. If you find it difficult for your schedule, you can buy books or even download them for free. Ingats lang sa pag-"invest" baka mauwi sa "trading" since tataas yun "risk appetite" mo once you learn. You should look for mentors din

I'm no expert here, but better if you diversify into two to three stocks first. In that case, if down yung isang stock, hindi mahihila lahat ng para mo. Just my opinion lang po.
