Post Do you wear sunblock when going out?

A friend of mine couldn't stress how essential it was to wear sunblock when going out of the house; kahit ilang minutes ka lang daw under the sun is damaging to your skin already. The harmful rays of the sun, (especially here in Manila) causes discoloration to the skin, especially to the face.

Can anyone recommend a good sunblock for the body, especially for the face? i've heard about Neutrogena and The Body Shop, but i don't wanna try anything unless i've gotten feedbacks from people....thanx!!!

I tried Neutrogena, the Fine Fairness Essence moisturizer with SPF 30. I had break-outs. Maybe it just didn't suit my skin. I'm now using Nivea Tinted Moisturizer in Ivory. Pero since 2nd day ko pa lang, I can't say if it works.

I never leave home without slathering myself with sunblock. Kahit face lang pag nagmamadali. Although ang nangyayari tuloy, iba color ng face and neck ko sa arms ko.

I've tried different brands for the face and body. Clinique sucks! Kahit na oil free, after 5 minutes todo nag ooil na! ]

Lancome is the best! Very expensive but super effective! I use the one with the highest spf. For summer yan. During rainy season, I use naman Lancome's vinefit moisturizer and spf 15 in one.

Clinique does a good job for me. I like the fact that its "light" on my face as oppose to other sunscreens out in the market that is gloggy and heavy. Maybe it aint compatible to your skin type?

N.B. Apply the sunscreen 15 mins before you go outdoors.

Yep, I do. I've been using Neutrogena's Fine Fairness UV Block with SPF 30 for a couple of months na and it works for me coz I don't break out and the consistency suits my oily skin.

I read sumwhere that one shld use a sunblock with at least an SPF 20 for it to be effective and should be applied 20 mins. before you head out of the house. I do use NIVEA MOISTURIZING SUNBLOCK LOTION spf 20 for sometime now kaya lang I dont like the sticky feeling that I get after I slather it on my skin. Is Origins HAVE A NICE DAY MOISTURIZER has that kind of feeling too? Kasi if not Ill try to get one kasi proven naman ang Origins products in the market.....

    thanx for all your replies!!

i also heard that Origins' is effective...how much does one bottle of their moisturizer-and-sunblock in one cost?

I use Biotherm moisturizer with SP5 15 for everyday use. I use it all the time even in the fall because when you're on the pill you're prone to hyperpigmentation...

I have Origins' Have A Nice Day. I bought it in Rustan's Makati around December last year, it cost me P1,700 ++ for one small jar.

It's effective though, and it has a yummy citrus scent, enough to perk you up in the mornings.

More likely that's the reason. But I use sunblock 30 mins before I go out. And yet natutunaw pa rin. So as far as I'm concerned, it sucks. And lancome is waaayy better.

I really cannot find a good facial sunblock kaya the only choice I have is to put on facepowder with SPF. PEro my derma recommends Neutrogena kse safe daw yun.

Oo nga! Ang mahal at ang liit na nga ngayon! Pineperahan talaga nila tayo noh? When I run out of my Armada (which I have a lot of), I'll probably make kupit na lang my mom's sunblock (I think it's Nu Skin or something).
