I don’t believe that “tasting the bitterness of failure” is a prerequisite to success. This is the same premise that you presented in another thread (“Nobody succeed unless they Fail”). As I’ve mentioned then, the original (and correct) quote is, “In order to succeed, you must first be willing to fail”. Looks like this was grossly misunderstood and misinterpreted.
A lot of mind games go on in MLM. Motivational speeches or gatherings, feel-good quotes, self-help materials and such: all of these are a part of a concerted effort to address and mitigate the issue of attrition. No upline wants to see their downlines drop out. That’s money out the door. There's an inside MLM joke that refer to downlines as chips (short for poker chips): the more you have, the more you cash in. Those who drop out are condemned and looked upon as inadequate undesirables who don’t have what it takes. There are those who will stubbornly cling to false hopes just to preserve their self-respect and avoid being demonized as one of the dumdums.
You can immerse yourself in a new MLM go-getter can-do attitude, but, as I’ve said before, the only thing that awaits those with misguided persistence, misplaced commitment and a skewed sense of faith, is abject failure.
