What's the problem with Boybits ba? I think he's doing a great job together with Racela. Maybe that's why they didn't get a guard in the draft.

maybe they didn't get a point guard coz they were trying to get boyet fernandez. pero sayang talaga si boybits. he's a good player, di lang nabibigyan ng chance. diba he always played well when he's in the game together with racela? switch sila sa point and shooting. smb should do more of this especially in the all-pinoy cup this year to be successful. ( that is, if they don't get hontiveros from cebu )

i was a presto fan since 1987 because of allan caidic but when he went to smb, i also became a fan of smb. But even if allan's not a beerman anymore, i am a solid supporter of the team. grabe sa family namin lahat kami smb.
anyway, i hope the boybits case will be over and i hope that he'll stick it out with smb kasi they have a great chemistry, all of them. BUT BOTHERED AKO na si FREDDIE ABUDA WAS PLACED IN THE TRADING BLOC, TOTOO BA YON, SANA WAG NAMAN, IDOL PA NAMAN SIYA. iT WAS in san miguel that he earned a name in the pba, sana he'll stick it out too with smb.

i'm not sure about freddie abuda being on the trading block...pero mukhang gusto talaga nilang i-trade si boybits...ewan ko naman kung bakit...i read in one of the papers that they're trying to get noy castillo and they're trading boybits to get him...noy castillo??? eh overrated player yan!!! minsan lang yata nakatsamba yan ... i mean he can shoot yeah...but boybits is more reliable...si boyet fernandez...i think purefoods signed him up already...so medyo malabo na yata yon...i hope smb doesn't get into this mess of trading players na lang...keep their lineup intact...wala na namang players na makukuha na talagang would make a difference to them...i mean it's a little late na...so just concentrate on what they have and make the most of it...and lets just pray they win the championship!!

i agree na overrated si castillo. though he's quite a good player. yun lang nga, di consistent. i would prefer boybits over him coz boybits has more experience.

regarding boyet fernandez, purefoods has already signed him up although they're trying to trade him for castillo.

i don't think purefoods wants to do business with smb. they always seem to get the raw end of each deal. it started with the mon fernandez/abet guidaben trade. panalo smb dun kasi nanalo sila ng championship and fernandez won his 4th mvp. next naman si abuda and racela. both players went to smb for practically nothing and look at them now! they're one of the more important players on the smb roster!

we really need a shooting guard para maging successful ang SMB this season...among the options are:

1. pirate hontiveros from cebu....likely to happen, pero ayaw talaga pakawalan ng cebu si dondon...

2. trade boybits for noy castillo....

3. strike a deal with alaska, and acquire lastimosa....hindi pa magkasundo ang alaska and lastimosa, coz over na sa salary cap ang alaska....lastimosa said in a sports magazine that he likes the "situation" at SMB, and that he has a place at SMB...sa alaska kasi nagtatampo sha coz hindi na sha mashado nagagamit....

if we get jolas, he would be good for immediate purposes coz his career is at its tailend. although he would be a welcome addition for now. but i think that we would be more of a powerhouse ( not that we're not right now ) if we could get hontiveros or castillo. if we get castillo, it would be some sort of a homecoming for him...

I don't like the idea of letting go of Noy Castillo, pero if we're gonna lose him nga, I'd rather lose him to SMB than to any other team (except ***** Tanduay).

Boybits better than Noy?? Nah, I don't think so. Check out the past issues of Scoreboard, and meron sila don parang match-up na ewan...they seem to think that Noy is better than Boybits by a mile. Masama lang yung laro niya last 2 conferences. Pero nung nag-end yung All Filipino, kasama siya sa top10 sa statistical points. May ibubuga talaga si Noy...hindi lang niya malabas in the presence of a much better Gerry Esplana.
Nung una nung nakuha namin siya, naisip ko ang bobo talaga ng Shell...biruin mo, pinakawalan si Ildefonso for an unknown FilAm! Pero medyo ok din naman pala...kahit super lugi kami.

i think lastimosa would be a great addition...i mean habang may contract pa si hontiveros, si lastimosa muna, dba? magre-retire na naman si lastimosa in about 2 years, so bagay na bagay siya sa SMB....as for the noy-boybits "issue", i don't think SMB will trade boybits for noy...kasi ang reason ng SMB for trading boybits is that coach uichico feels that boybits is too talented to just play back-up...kaya nga sabi ni boybits, sana sa tanduay siya ma-trade kasi wala naman legit PG ang tanduay....kung sa shell siya ite-trade, counterproductive yon for both boybits and SMB....for one, back-up PG pa rin naman ang ilalaro ni boybits eh coz andon si esplana....sa smb naman, bat naman kukunin pa nila yung mas mataas na suweldong si castillo, eh nasa kanila na si boybits....

you know what i think...both noy castillo and boybits victoria would be more effective players if they were used as the no. 2 guard in their own respective teams...i don't really know their natural positions or what positions they played in college...but i think they're both good shooters...and the only reasons they're being used as point guards is because of their height...whether this trade comes through or not, i think the only way these two players will become a big help for their teams is if they get more playing time...that is more playing time taking their shots and not distributing the ball!

i like the idea of jolas coming into SMB. about Boybits, he won't play better as 2 guard coz he's the type of guy who needs to hold the ball for quite a while in order to scroe. and he uses his size advantege over other point guards to score. Just like Penny during his early days with Orlando I think what you're trying to say is that he can play 2 guard provided that matino ang point so that he can score
