just arrived from sagada last night. it's better if you call her before you take your journey to sagada , what i did was i just called when were already at the door of the RESIDENTIAL LODGE(RL) knocking ,then i called her but she's at the school to fetch someone, so we just stayed at GEORGE'S GUEST HOUSE(GGH) which was about a minute walk past residential lodge. i would have to say that GGH is one of the best if not the best inn in sagada , the room that we got has cable tv and hot water for 500php/day , it has 1 queen size bed and 1 sofa bed ( max capacity of 3 persons).although i was not able to stay at the RL , it's pretty obvious that the place is still new so i think it would be at par with GGH plus RL is cheaper.

we arrived in sagada around 1:30pm,we checked-in and rest up to 4 ... sobrang nakakapagod *** byahe stroll lang kami papuntang st. marys and echo valley. the next day we went to bomod-ok falls around 730am came back at 1130am for lunch then went to sumaguing at 230pm...sobrang sakit ng katawan ko *****!

another tip, kung mahihiluhin kayo at ayaw nyong sumakit ang **** nyo,wag nyo na itry *** baguio-sagada route, although this route is more efficient since there is a bus available every hour so less waiting.

I'm sure that George Guest House is great. 500 a day nalang? last year 750! hehe.

micmac: Madulas yung papuntang Echo Valley, pero sobrang lapit talaga nung valley sa simbahan. Wala pang 15 minutes. Delikado? As flipflop said, mag ingat lang at wag aanga anga. hehe

^^The caretaker showed us 3 available rooms :
600Php ( 2 queen size beds + cable tv+hot shower )
500Php ( 1 queen size bed + 1 sofa bed + cable tv+hot shower )
400Php (2 queen size beds + hot shower)

We took the 500 room hoping that I could catch the lakers v kings game last sat, badtrip lang dahil walang sports ch at rpn9!

I see.

Medyo weird yung pricing nung kay Tita Mary kasi hindi by room and rates - by person!

ACTUAL EXPENSES
•We were only 2.

TRANSPO

mla -banaue (autobus) – 462Php
-the bus station is between P.Noval St. and Eloisa ( check the Espana Road Map at Wikipedia)
-the bus departed at 10:10pm(030107) so don’t be late for the 10pm schedule

banaue-bontoc (rented a van for 1500/4)– 375Php
-we arrived at banaue around 7:45am
-the van stopped at a nearby resto so that we could have our breakfast
-the plan was to ride a van from the autobus station that will go directly to sagada for 250Php but we were only 4 that will be going to sagada so the driver just ask us to rent his van up to bontoc for 1500,the actual rate was 2300 but we said that we cannot afford it.(actually there were 6 more foreigners who will be going to sagada but some person convinced them not to join us and instead rent a van for themselves only ,the main purpose of that person was of course to rip them off )
-we departed banaue at 9:45am ( we wasted an hour because of that van!)

bontoc-sagada (jeep) – 35
-we arrived at bontoc around 12:15pm
-the van dropped us at the station of sagada bound jeeps(not actually a station but I’ll call it a station)
-the jeep will drop you just below the st. joseph’s inn (again not actually a station but I’ll call it a station)
-we were in sagada around 1:15pm

sagada -baguio (GL) – 220
-we rode the 7am(030407) bus at the station of sagada-bound bontoc jeeps .we’re suppose to ride the 5am schedule but we arrived the station at 5:35am , the next bus should be at 6am but since it’s not peak season the hourly schedule was not followed.
-the other 2guys who accompanied us took the same route going back(via autobus)

dangwa station-VL station (taxi) – 40
-the bus arrived at the dangwa station(behind the Center Mall) at around 1:15pm

baguio- mla (victory liner) – 395(for pasay station)
-we took the 2:10pm(yup,it really is 2:10pm) pasay-bound bus. we just had our lunch inside the bus.
-we arrived at the pasay station around 8:45pm

030407
-take-out lunch for 130
-dinner on the road for 100

SAGADA TOUR

030207
-we arrived at sagada 1:15pm then checked-in at GGH ,decided to sleep and woke-up around 4pm
-we realized that we won’t be able to finish the 3sights tour for 400 so we opt to discover echo valley for ourselves but a boy accompanied us,we just gave him a 100 in return.

030307
-we rented a jeep going to the drop-off point for the Bomod-ok falls trail for 550
-the tour guide will cost you 600 (max of 10/guide) , we were only four (the 4 of us in the van decided to join forces)

-we rented a jeep going to the drop-off point for the sumaguing cave for 350
-the tour guide will cost you 400(max of 4/guide)

LODGING
-stayed at George Guest House for 2nights at 500/night

SUMMARY
TRANSPO :462+(1500/4)+35+220+(40/2)+395 = 1507
FOOD: 130+100+140+160+150+170+130+100 = 1080(it’s safe to budget 150 for a meal)
SAGADA TOUR: (100/2)+(550/4)+(600/4)+(350/4)+(400/4)=525
LODGING: (1000/2)=500

I’ll estimate it as konti lang since hindi nga napuno yung van papuntang sagada and the hourly sched of lizardo bus departing sagada for baguio was not observed.

so people in Banaue are evil?

Ang gastos pala pag Banaue yung daan.

We ended up spending a lot more because we decided to spend a night in Baguio. Wrong move. We couldn't find an affordable hotel.
The room costs more than the three days worth of rent we paid Tita Mary.

flipflop08: Onga.
