New graphic novel from Arnold Arre.

Hello PExers!

Arnold Arre has a new graphic novel called AFTER EDEN, published by Anino Comics, an imprint of Adarna House Inc. The book will be available at this year's Philippine Bookfair (Adarna booth, Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall) from August 30-September 8, and then at all leading book stores and comic book outlets come November.

"After Eden" is a love story that involves six people, serendipitous weather disturbances, and the minions of heaven and hell. It is, by turns, strange, hilarious and heartbreaking -- a story that somehow manages to be complex and yet pure and simple at the same time. It is also the best thing Arnold Arre has done so far, and that's really saying something, considering that he's won National Book Awards for his previous works, "The Mythology Class" and "Trip to Tagaytay." The formal launch of Arnold Arre's After Eden will be at Function Room B at the Book Fair on September 7, Saturday, 6-9 pm. Of course, the Book Fair is at the Megatrade Hall at Megamall.

Oh, and by the way, the 250+ page book will be sold for only P295.

Si Bill Service, thanks for your interest. Arnold has been asked that question so many times that we're really considering the idea of releasing a TPB, financially-permitting of course (:

The immediate goal (re Myth Class) is actually to sell the remaining copies of #s 2, 3, & 4 because a lot of people are not willing to buy them without #1 which is unfortunately out of print .

Got a copy of After Eden last Sunday. It rocks!!! I love everything, from the way the story flows, to the references in the gaming and comic book culture, lahat! Plus superb illustrations from the master, as usual. Higit sa lahat, the story actually made me long for someone to love... yaiks, baduy ba?

Mr. Arnold Arre, you are the coolest of the cool. Kailangan ko ipa-autograph sa iyo ito!!!

Just got and read this book. Okay sya. Entertaining but kinda distressing in the end. Love triumphed but ... at the expense of friendship. Oh well ... nothing's perfect I guess.
