Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for interaction design, information architecture, and usability engineering functions of the game site. He will work closely with the development team and data analyst. The ideal candidate has been the user experience lead for a high-profile web or client application, game, e-commerce, or social networking service. The candidate should have exceptional insight of how to create an engaging, intuitive user experience from an information-rich game environment. Experience with e-commerce is highly desired.
Others:
- Form the strategic vision downwards, develop an accessible, compelling user experience for the site
- Be the team's subject matter expert in design while never losing sight of the end-user's experience with the product
- Work with the team to optimize presentation and UX of new features
- Lead of interaction design, information architecture, and usability engineering
- Create both low and high-fidelity prototypes and communicate designs to the stakeholders like management, art, design and programming
- Conduct surveys, focus groups, heuristic reviews, AB and multivariate tests to validate and test the robustness of the design
- Provide guidance on the style guide and visual hierarchy for all UI elements
- Lead the team to implement the design during production
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent, related subject with minor/courses taken in Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Ergonomics, Cognitive Psychology an added advantage
Good English language skills
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in high-profile user experience design in e-commerce, gaming, web or client applications; experience with e-commerce or online monetization
Strong background in industrial design, graphic design, digital arts, or related and skilled in photoshop or similar software
Strong rapid-prototyping skills in Javascript, PHP, Flash, MySQL, CSS
Experienced planning, running and interpreting validation and testing sessions
Able to work and thrive in a "start up within an MNC" type environment where the infrastructure and processess have to be created, not inherited
