Machine Gun Preacher" is the inspirational true story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing criminal who undergoes an astonishing transformation and finds an unexpected calling as the savior of hundreds of kidnapped and orphaned children. Gerard Butler as Childers, the impassioned founder of the Angels of East Africa rescue organization in Golden Globe-nominated director Marc Forster's ("Monster's Ball," "Finding Neverland") moving story of violence and redemption.

Don't expect cold blooded action movie as what the title says while Gerard Butler is holding a gun in the poster. It's about the real life story of Sam Childers who leaves his dark past and embraces the word of God. Finding his time in a civil war-torn Sudan leaving his family behind back home at Pensylvania. Witnessing the children suffer from the war made hm to dedicate his time by building an orphanage for the kids.

Gerard Butler did a nice acting job as Sam Childers who is emotionally inflicted by the effects of war. He shows a great portrayal emotionally, physically and mentally. With a nice supporting cast that shows a picture of reality in African countries, your heart will start to care and be thankful on the things we have here and to realize that we are lucky enough in our country.

Overall it's an inspiring movie with a real person dedicating his life even forgetting his family for the sake of other people. This shows a great story behind a man who really care.
