Villa Escudero - medyo pricey pero worth going to.... be sure to get there by lunch time para u can enjoy good food and good scenery..... kaya lang if u've been there once there's no reason to come back again dahil wala masyado nababago.....

SM Malls or any malls - the malls in Manila are sometimes better than what they have abroad..... there's a good choice of restaurants din..... from kakanin to fine dining....

Day Trip to Provinces near Manila - Laguna, Bulacan, Olongapo and Pampanga are good places to visit.... di gaanong malayo sa Manila.....

Malate, Libis or Tomas Morato - wide choices of cuisines and entertainment....

UP-Diliman, UPLB - even if u're not a student, they're good places to visit... lots of character.... and some good places to eat...

Enchanted Kingdom - this is wholesome...

Marikina - I've been hearing a lot of good things 'bout this place....

If we're talking about dinner here, bring them to Gerry's Grill.

If you can get in, try the steakhouse at Tagaytay Highlands, it has a truly superb view. If you can't, try Josephine's at Tagaytay as a lesser alternative. For good pinoy food in Makati Gerry's Grill is fine, as the others say. Or try Hutu's Hut at Kalayaan (near Rockwell) for a "Nature" atmosphere, and it's a/c unlike Gerry's Grill. You can also try Dencio's at The Fort for windy open-air dining - and parking there is quite easy. For that ocean-and-sunset experience there's the lawn buffet at the Philippine Plaza hotel.

Stay away from restos with copycat- or sound-alike names and concepts from abroad. Avoid the crowded cities if you can, the pollution and traffic will bring on the criticisms which your party can do without. Stick to original pinoy concepts which can't be found anywhere else.

Whenever some balikbayan/foreigner friends come for a visit, I always take them to Harbor View (Roxas Blvd). They really enjoy it there. Its better to go at night so you can see the lights from buildings. The food is so-so (Ive tasted better) but the ambience is really nice. For those whove never been, its a restaurant on stilts that extends to Manila bay.

From what i know, Gerry's grill has a branch in Jupiter St. Makati, Mother Ignacia Ave. in QC (Infront of ABS-CBN), Libis in QC also and they recently opened one in Subic.

Yep. Its near the old Army Navy Club na ngayon puro restaurants na din, Tropical Forest, etc. Its near the intersection of Roxas Blvd and TM Kalaw. ( I think..)
