Here's an excerpt from a CNN article (May 10, 2002)
LONDON, England (AP) -- Fans waiting eagerly awaiting what happens next to Harry Potter probably will have to wait until next year.
The fifth installment in the wildly successful series of novels about the teen-age wizard and his friends had been expected to fly into stores this summer, but a spokeswoman for J.K. Rowling said Thursday that the author is unlikely to finish writing before the end of the year.
Rowling is still working on "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," and it might not be published until 2003, spokeswoman Rebecca Salt said.

Harry Potter 5: The Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter enters his fifth year at Hogwarts with more dread than daring. Lord Voldemort has risen again, and although the Dark Lord is not present, Harry feels his presence everyday. His scar hurts, his writing sometimes fails him, and his studies are more troubling than exciting. Hermione, now a prefect, offers to help him in any way she can. Ron, his best friend, joins in. Paranoia reigns.
The faculty also undergoes some major upheavals. There are now two Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers: Mad-Eye Moody and Professor Lupin. There are also two Potions teachers - Professor Snape and a Hogwarts alumnus. There is a new teacher named Lysandra Leonessa, an all-Muggle who seems to be tied to Professor Lupin in some way.
Harry has a new pet as well: Snuffles, a black dog. Thus, nearly well protected, Harry is surrounded by teachers and fellow students. Dumbledore monitors him closely. The new faculty keeps their wands near and never fail to check on him. Lupin and Leonessa are his nearest friends, but they both deal with each other uneasily. As though drawn by some dying sense of adventure, Harry interviews the normally cheerful Miss Leonessa.
Miss Leonessa does not reveal anything, but all that Harry has to do is to check his wizard album. He finds his parents surrounded by the new, once young, faculty, along with Sirius Black and Lupin - and, oh yes, Pettigrew. He knows that they are keeping a protective shield around him, but can that shield be broken? How was it penetrated? And why does Professor Lupin have his arm around Miss Leonessa? Does it have something to do with his collection of books of fiction written by Miss Leonessa, all of which he keeps from her?
"Of course," Hermione declares in her you-idiot-haven't-you-read-"Hogwarts-A-History?" tone, "Professor Lupin and Miss Leonessa were in love!" That of course, might just be the surface, because Harry notices that Dumbledore always calls the two teachers to his office. Hermione researches on Lupin and Leonessa, then finds that they were both Quidditch players: Lupin a beater for Gryffindor, Leonessa a chaser for Ravenclaw. Good research - and suddenly Hermione's last as she begins to fail and flounder in her exams and quizzes.
However, Hermione is not alone. All the prefects start failing and floundering. Miss Leonessa holds a review class, but to no avail. Professor Lupin tries to help and comfort her, but she casts him away, this time, cruelly. He, in his own frustration, trains the Gryffindor Quidditch team with more ferocity and less spirit. With some spark left in her, Hermione makes it rain one afternoon when Professor Lupin is zooming around the Quidditch field on his broomstick.
In her pity for Lupin, Lysandra Leonessa tends to his fever and is reunited with him. Professor Dumbledore, ever the all-seeing eye, thanks Hermione for her "good idea."
Quidditch season arrives, and it is opened by an exciting exhibition game, Boys vs. Girls. On one side are Lupin, along with a selected group, and Harry as the seeker. On the other are McGonagall, Leonessa, selected girls, and the seeker Cho Chang. It is expected to be a game of wits, until Harry catches the Snitch and all brooms fail.
Chaos ensues. Only powerful Dark Magic can cause broomsticks to fall. Only powerful Dark Magic can cause the prefects and the top students of the school to fail. Someone has penetrated the protection of Hogwarts and is advancing fast. As soon as the new faculty is ready, and Lupin, Leonessa, and McGonagall are healed, they begin patrolling the grounds. Fortunately, all disasters seem to wane, and, by Christmas, despite all the students being forcefully kept at Hogwarts, everyone is happy.
One night, a scream rings through Hogwarts. Several students report that a hooded figure, shaking and clinging to Professor McGonagall, is led to Dumbledore's office. Valentines' has just passed - with about a hundred arguments between Ron and Hermione - and all the festivities are drowned by the ensuing paranoia.
Harry is called to the Headmaster's office the next day, where he finds Professor Lupin and Miss Leonessa. Dumbledore orders them to tell Harry what has happened.
With both teachers contributing, Harry learns of the Order of the Phoenix, established just before he was born, and created to combat Lord Voldemort's power. Made up of the closest of friends, including the Potters, Lupin, Leonessa, and Dumbledore, the Order of the Phoenix was once strong and unbendable. Lord Voldemort, as a once suave Tom Riddle, had tried to unite his powers with Lysandra, who is actually a powerful wizard skilled in the dark arts but who refuses to use them. Lysandra was able to harness the strength of the Order and defend herself. The Dark Powers, however, penetrated into the weakest of them - Peter Pettigrew.
Because of Pettigrew, the order was broken. Even then, Lord Voldemort nearly died after trying to kill Harry. Despite the apparent triumph, Lysandra left the order in shame, thinking that Lupin and Dumbledore would disown her as one of their kind. Upon her return, both to Hogwarts and to the order, she vowed to both protect Harry and destroy Lord Voldemort. For reasons known only to Dumbledore and a Lupin now fiercely protective of his girl, Voldemort's attack on Lysandra had nearly broken her. She and Lupin bid Harry to be careful, as she has dreamed of Lord Voldemort's return.
In a series of strange events, Harry encounters Draco Malfoy, who, at first despising him, now tries to kill him. He encounters Draco and a band of Slytherins one night in the Gryffindor common room. What follows is what appears to be a Wizard's duel, promptly stopped by the reformed Order of the Phoenix. The Slytherin students drop unconscious, Neville Longbottom among them, numbering himself among the exploited - and contributing the Gryffindor password. Snape administers the Truth Potion to them all, but the students have been lost since the first day of school. Their minds have been conquered by their parents, but their natural childlikeness, though hidden, prevents complete conquest and even Harry's death. Malfoy even tries to kill himself in a fit of "Wizard anger," but Harry saves him. Their enmity does not end...
...But this book does.
The Order of the Phoenix uncovers Voldemort's plan: Weaken all the top Hogwarts students, cause enmity amongst them, then use their disunity to enter through the shield of the Order. Everything goes against him again, but everyone knows that this will not last long. The Order this remains as strong as ever, and its members protect Harry, knowing perhaps that, with all the boy's power, Voldemort would want to get to him and purchase the power at the price of Harry's life. All will end if this should happen, and, with dread mixed with his courage, Harry leaves Hogwarts for another vacation.

Welll, i finally got these from a "close friend" who shall remain utterly nameless. They are the latest gatherings from the HP Research Labs. May I recommend that YOU NOT READ THEM UNLESS YOU LIKE SPOILERS!.
The information gatherers have kept these summaries very cryptic. Very major characters get no mention here, and it leaves one to wonder where they come in. Well, this is all they gave us and I guess we'll have to be satisfied. There are entire chapters where they have neither title nor summary. I think several things were purposefully left out lest the story be utterly ruined. I think the source is trying to whet our appetites and not ruin the meal. Read further and judger for yourself.
The next book will be the largest so far, with even more characters and an ever more complex plot. If you are looking for reasons why the latest book has been delayed you can point to JK's marriage, her home purchase and a stalker or two compromising her security. But the main reason above all is the reassessing she had to do after the events of 9/11. I know for a fact that there was a chapter or two in the story where some of the characters are trapped in one of Hogwarts in the middle of a huge fire. It struck a little to close to current events to be kept.
So without further ado I will say that the main thrust of the plotlines have been as follows. Chapter titles, where available.
SS: harry learns of his identity and history and must face a returned Voldemort
CoS: harry is blamed for the evil-doings of Tom Riddle
PoA: Sirius Black escapes and is supposedly trying to get at harry.
GoF: A competition comes to Hogwarts and Harry is chosen to compete
Order of the Phoenix: harry's dreams forge a further connection between him and Voldemort, a connectionwhich harry tries to exploit to his advantage, with damaging results.
And now the meat of the meal:
Chapter 1: There is something up with the Dursleys. Harry finds something in the attic of Privet Drive that forces him to reassess Aunt Petunia.
Chapter 2: The Defenestration: Harry goes to stay with Mrs. Figg, and unmasks her. Privet Drive is destroyed.
Chapter 3: Harry meets someone named Perkins, who knows arthur weasley.
Chapter 4: The Ministry of Magic. Perkins takes Harry to the Ministry.
Chapter 5: Percy Weasley is acting funny. As well as following Harry.
Chapter 6: Azkaban is suddenly and mysteriously emptied. Harry sees it on the MOM monitors with Mr. Weasley. Molly calls Arthur and shrieks about bad tidings told by the Weasley clock. Mr. Weasley notices no danger.
Chapter 7: Return to Hogwarts early for Harry. Ron tags along. Hermione is missing and they haven't heard from her since her last letter from Bulgaria.
Chapter 8: Alastor Moody. Harry gets acquainted with the Real Moody.
Chapter 9: Meet the Prefects: Hermione and Malfoy are both Prefects. Immediate conflict.
Chapter 10: The Family LeStrange: no summary available
Chapter 11: The Order of the Phoenix, Harry finds out, is a group of students meant to combat Voldemort.
It's members are Cho Chang, Neville Longbottom, Susan Bones, Ginny Weasley and a few others. They recruit Harry to help them out in their quest for revenge.
Chapter 12: Harry learns that Neville is starting to remember horrors from his past. He and Harry get introduced to the Sphere of Second Sight, a tool for spying.
Chapter 13: Tracking Voldemort's doings through the power of dreams and trances
Chapter 14: The Grey Lady: Harry goes to far and exits his body. He learns a lot floating around.
Chapter 15: The Girl from Slytherin: Harry makes a friend on the other side. It has ramifications.
Chapter 16-20: Summaries are unavailable for these...
Chapter 21: Voldemort attacks Hogwarts with the Giants.
Chapter 22: The Flight into the Forest. Ron must make an awful choice. Hermione suffers greatly.
Chapter 23: The Sire of Lupin: no summary available.
Chapter 24: The Vizier: Someone named Ali Bashir comes to the rescue somehow.
Chapter 25: The Standoff: A Single Combat is decided on.
Chapter 25.5: (NOTE: Yes, for some reason JK has a HALF-chapter here. I personally have no idea what she is up to, but take my word for it--it is titled Twenty-Five and a Half: Severus Snape is shown not be completely human, and hence unreadable to the mind of Voldemort.
Chapter 26: True Colors: A Stunning Betrayal. Nuff Said.
Chapter 27: no summary available.
Chapter 28: Professor Dumbledore makes an exchange saving the life of anunpopular student
Chapter 29-32: no summaries available.
Make of it what you will

I have it also in Word Document form. I already read it, twice. It's possible that it might be the real book 5. The writing looks like Rowling's, and consisitent with the storyline and characters, but the story itself really left me in shock. If this is the real book 5, then fans are in for a REAL treat.

For your info, Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix will be out in June 2003. I read this at bbc uk online. This is due to the fact that JK Rowling is expecting a baby soon that's why medyo na-delay ang book but now it's being printed. This news came out along with the news about Richard Harris's (Dumbledore) death due to cancer.

Some excerpts from the book:
Introduction (First paragraph):
The hottest day of the summer so far was drawing to a close and a drowsy silence lay over the large, square houses of Privet Drive ... The only person left outside was a teenage boy who was lying flat on his back in a flowerbed outside number four.
Later in the book:
Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses.
"It is time," he said, "for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry.
"Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything."
Ngayon, ang tanong, kelan lalabas sa atin? How long will the delay ba?

Potter Alert: "Phoenix" Rising June 21
Wed Jan 15, 1:00 PM ET
By Josh Grossberg
All we've got to say is it's about time.
Young Muggles who've gone gray waiting for J.K. Rowling (news - web sites) to magic up the fifth volume in her hugely popular Harry Potter saga finally have something to cheer about.
Harry Potter (news - web sites) and the Order of the Phoenix is scheduled to hit book stores worldwide on June 21, her publishers confirmed on Wednesday.
"We are thrilled to announce the publication date," Nigel Newton, chief executive of the British-based Bloomsbury Publishers, said in a joint statement with Barbara Marcus, president of Scholastic Children's Books, which publishes Potter Stateside. "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is absolutely superb and will delight all J.K. Rowling fans. She has written a brilliant and utterly compelling new adventure."
Rowling certainly took long enough.
It's been nearly three years since Potterphiles got their hands on the last installment, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which hit store shelves in July of 2000 and saw the lightning-scarred boy magician flirt with the opposite sex and face death for the first time. The book conjured up a record for the fastest-selling book and joined the first three volumes--Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban--on top of bestseller lists around the globe.
Since then, however, with all the hype, the reclusive Rowling has slowed things down a bit, having recently tied the knot and becoming pregnant (her baby is due in the spring). Instead of sticking to her previous one-book-a-year schedule, she took her time with the new novel, and let fans satiate themselves with the movies. All the while, she had to deny rumors she was suffering from writer's block.
Apparently she wasn't. Order of Phoenix is the longest installment yet in the wizard saga, clocking in at a hefty 768 pages--one-third longer than its predecessor (255,000 words for Phoenix compared to Goblet's 191,000 words).
So far, there's no word on the plot, but based on Rowling's interviews, expect the book to be even darker as Harry, now a teenager, once again confronts You-Know-Who.
No word what this latest plot is about, but Rowling's publisher gave a quick sneak peak of the first few sentences of Phoenix:
"The hottest day of the summer so far was drawing to a close and a drowsy silence lay over the large, square houses of Privet Drive...The only person left outside was a teenage boy who was lying flat on his back in a flowerbed outside number four."
Bloomsbury also released lines that suggest Harry will finally discover more about his past.
"Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses. 'It is time,' he said, 'for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything.' "
All told, the first four volumes in the Harry Potter series have sold nearly 200 million copies in more than 55 languages in some 200 countries. Their phenomenal success also gave rise to a new bestseller list for children's books created by the New York Times.
In other Potter news, casting for the movie version of Prisoner of Azkaban, adapted once again by scribe Steve Kloves (news) and directed by Alfonso Cuaron (news) (A Little Princess, Y Tu Mama Tambien), is proceeding smoothly.
Gary Oldman (news) is currently in talks to join the cast of the third installment in the Warner Bros. franchise. He would play wizard Sirius Black the titular prisoner who turns out to be Harry's Godfather.
Meanwhile, as first reported by E! Online, British thesp Michael Gambon (news) has been tapped to fill the wizard's cap of the late Richard Harris (news) in the all-important role of Professor Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Shooting on Prisoner is slated to begin February 17.

My brother and I went to powerbooks--the one inside tower records in glorietta 3. we already reserved the book. the guy we talked to informed us that usually they will sell the book at the same time as the world release. This means that the book will be available on June 21---which is, I think June 20 for us.
Although this is not guaranteed, at least he was kind enough to give that information. So go ahead and reserve your copy. I haven't asked powerbooks pasay road though. If i do i'll inform you guys.
Till then, let's just wait for the book.

Thanks very much for that info about reservations at Powerbooks.
Pero hindi siguro June 20 dito, kasi, sabi ng Bloomsbury Publishing:
All time zones preceding the UK are embargoed until 00:01 am BST (British Summer Time) on Saturday 21 June 2003.
Tamad na ako mag-calculate ng time differences eh, basta, I'm sure a few hours after 12:00 of June 21 pa. :)

BTW, medyo bagong mag-post in this thread but I've been lurking around and amusing myself with the Potter-luvvve :D
Dami nang speculations about those two snippets nung book 5, connect mo pa dun sa 93 words from the auction. Canon-hungry na lahat ng fans :)
The only person left outside was a teenage boy who was lying flat on his back in a flowerbed outside number four.
Binata na si Harry *sniff* Bring on the Ginny! Hehehe.
Anyway, I started reading the books around 2000 na at ndi ko na naabutan yung release ng GoF so... was GoF released here the same time it was released sa UK, States and Canada? We're getting the American Version di ba? I hope Page One would sell adult versions from UK. I dunno, it feels more authentic that way *gryn*
And the almost 900 bucks price is the slashed price di ba? You get to buy the book for 900 if you pre-order now online. I think.
Does anyone know how long would it will take to get here kung I buy $25 worth of purchase sa amazon and avail the free shipping? Additional 3-5 days apart from the minimum 10-16 days shipping? First time ko kasi bibili online if ever.

We are GMT + 8 hours. London is a basis, so GMT lang yun. BST is UTC + 1 hour. But UTC is also GMT, so London is GMT + 1. 7 hours difference lang sa atin. So pag 00:01 sa kanila...

If you convert the price found a the back of the book it is actually lower.

Just that, will any of the bookstores here (Power Books, Fully Booked, etc) open at midnight 21st, like the gimmicks they do on that side of the world?

Okay... good news... the book will really be released here on June 21!
Yahooooooooooooooo! :bounce2:
I checked with Powerbooks just awhile ago and they confirmed the release; and PExer jeaz also confirmed it for Fully Booked.
Grabe, can't wait! I am positively writing with excitement! :toofunny:
Anyway, gusto ko lang din i-share na I saw a "stand' or whatever you call it just like the one in the background in this image:
http://i.cnn.net/cnn/2003/SHOWBIZ/books/06/05/hyping.harry.ap/story.potter.ap.jpg
If you get to see it, you'll see three other characters in the background along with Harry and his wand. One is definitely "Mad Eye" Moody, and then there's a short-haired lady and another long-haired man.
Question is: who could those two be:?:
Could it be Lupin and the rumored new character Leonessa?
Those two are my best bets for now.

PExer whyte and I were discussing thru text awhile ago how Ron, in The Sorcerer's Stone, saw himself in the Mirror of Erised as Quidditch Captain, and according to a previous post somewhere in PEx in one of the Harry Potter threads, Ron IS going to be Gryffindor Keeper in Book Five, most certainly replacing Oliver Wood. don't recall saying anything about dumbledore or harry dying, or that the death in book 4 will contribute to making voldie powerful. probably this highly-anticipated death is just a manifestation of voldie's increasing power.
until book 4, we didn't even know that voldie could be brought back to nearly his full power by a concoction of bone, blood, and flesh (or whatever wormtail's ingredients were), so no one can say that in the coming books, this event will be the only thing that will lead to this other event. ang labo ba? :p basta, we can't predict what rowling will come up with. for sure, after book 5 is released, most of people's assumptions and theories for books 6 and 7 will change dramatically.
boran_zohn, that's an interesting plot twist. the death of ron's mum could make his personality and priorities change overnight and influence the whole tone of the books since ron's one of the most loved characters.
but let's not over-analyze this too much and just have fun reading the book. i've been waiting for this for 3 years!

If Mrs. Weasley died, that would be a humongous blow, not only to the wizarding world, but more importantly and more heavily, on Harry and Ron, and yes, on Hermione too. (Mrs. Weasley being the mother figure to the three and all.)
That would probably bring out in Ron a strength that we all wouldn't have recognized before. That could totally change him - from being a bit of a wuss, and always standing in Harry's shadows - to someone more formidable.

But would that transformation into a "powerful" being (kung tama ka nga, BabyFATS) be an advantage to Harry or would be to his disadvantage. Could JK Rowling have had provided a clue in the Ron vs. Harry thingie in GOF. (Parang hindi mangyayari ito :glee:)

At which part of the post did I "act" like I was the only one that read the book? That's just your interpretation of my post. I was merely voicing out my thoughts. Now, na-offend ka ata na someone like me, who is not a great big fan like you are would dare make a comment like that. Your problem not mine.

The implication of my post was that whatever they saw in that mirror doesn't necessarily mean that that will be what will happen. Dumbledore said the same thing to Harry if I remember it right.

boran_zohn, that's an interesting plot twist. the death of ron's mum could make his personality and priorities change overnight and influence the whole tone of the books since ron's one of the most loved characters.
but let's not over-analyze this too much and just have fun reading the book. i've been waiting for this for 3 years!
Nah, I didn't say that you said anything about Harry or Dumbledore dying. I was merely speculating and asking for an opinion from you since you seem to know more about what's happening and thankfully, you've a cool head on top of your shoulders.

I wasn't offended, wrong term. Try "irritated", that's simple and precise enough. And, yes, I am irritated, not by your comment, but how it was said, and admittedly, by your high-and-mighty-ness. It might be my problem, but obviously, you're making it yours as well since you're spending time replying to my posts anyway.
Sumasabad ba ako? I didn't know that you guys were having a private conversation in a public thread here in Pex where the tagline happens to be "speak your mind." Now wh'oe out of turn here:?: Who are you to tell me to keep quiet? You're just another pexer here like I am.
Yes, I am just another PExer here, but I have the good sense to admit if I do not know anything about what one post is talking about, unlike some people here who are too proud for their own good to be given any other information than what little they already know and understand.
The implication of my post was that whatever they saw in that mirror doesn't necessarily mean that that will be what will happen. Dumbledore said the same thing to Harry if I remember it right.
The implication of the post that you are referring to right now is not even close to what that mirror shows. In fact, whatever they see in the mirror is not even about what will or will not be, because what Harry saw was about his past. Dumbledore said the mirror shows "the deepest, most desperate desires of the heart." It doesn't say anything about what has happened or what will happen in the future. Now, if you'd only care to read the post that tells you the drift I was referring to, then you'd know what I was talking about and stop before you get yourself into more hot water, which, by the way, you're welcome to be in. :D
"Masyado ka kasing feeling" - - - That's a bash:?: :rotflmao: Now that is funny. :glee:
Yes, that is an example of a bash - a personal criticism or attack. In case you have a different meaning in mind, I'd be glad to hear about it. You can even make a thread about it. Pramis, magpo-post ako, kahit ako lang ang pumansin sa thread na yon.
I am not in any obligation to reply to every post here and I didn't. Illusion mo lang na I am replying to everyone. Most of the time I just lurk in my own thread. I only speak up when I want to. Lately, I want to and that's why I posted. Hindi yon ilusyon. Hindi ko kelanman inilusyon na sagutin mo ang kahit alin sa mga post ko. I'd be so much happier that you didn't feel obligated at all to respond to any of my posts, kahit ikaw pa gumawa ng thread.
Chill girl. You chill, I'll chill. Got it? Good.
Now let's move back to the topic. You wanna talk, discuss, or what have you, Personals tayo. Okiez?

Hello HP fans!
I'm just curious, pagnagpareserve ba kayo, do you have to pay right away? Or you just jot down your name and pay on the day of the release itself?
I think the P500 reservation fee is unfair. Kaya nga sila may reservation, para maanticipate nila ang demand. If they allow the customers to pre-order it, masmadali nilang malalaman kung ilan dapat ang kunin nilang books (so that sure sila na kukunin talaga yung book) and mas assured ang customer na makukuha talaga nya yung book on the release date.
Just my two cents...
bleargh
Jun 14, 2003, 03:40 AM
so pano yun, kung hindi pa ko nakakabayad, does that mean na there is a huge chance that I won't get my supposedly reserved copy?
chinkystar
Jun 14, 2003, 12:46 PM
i don't think national really intended to ask for a reservation fee, at least not until recently. yun nga lang, i think they realized that a lot of people reserved at different branches (myself included) eh isa lang naman talaga bibilhin nila. so lugi sila if they based the volume of books they'll order on reservations alone. besides, the other bookstores asked for a down payment as a matter of course, so chances are people will get their copy from the store where they placed a down payment. i'm not too sure, but i think national actually buys all its copies (versus a consignment agreement) so lugi talaga sila if they get the volume wrong.

Added income...
Pero, I'll still pay tomorrow. I can't risk not having a copy by Saturday. :o

So, kung ako sa inyo, try niyo na lang sa Powerbooks!

I don't think it's Cornelius Fudge. For one, he's not even a well-loved character. Nag-separate ways na nga sila ni Dumbledore sa Book 4 di ba, because of his love for office. Hmm...I guess I don't really mind the P500 reservation fee (actually they should call it down payment, cause reservation fee is misleading) at National that much, IF it means that I WILL get my copy on the 21st. I got the email,as well as a call, from an NBS customer rep, and she told me that the release date was a sure thing. pero after reading all the posts here, i'm kinda second-guessing everything...:D
NBS will charge 1345 for the it, same with Powerbooks. It looks like only Fully Booked will be a charging a bit more, at 1350. It's little enough to ask for if the added 5 pesos is an assurance for saturday,i guess.
At Powerbooks though, they're giving away a Harry Potter coloring book (while supplies last) for all those buying their copies on the 21st. I'm getting mine at NBS coz i have a laking national card.:p
Oo nga, they should organize launching events here, like what they do in the UK, with the midnight opening of bookstores, people camping outside all night, then to finally get ahold of your own copy....it'd be crazy, but exhilaratingly fun! kind of reminds me of the mad dash for UAAP tickets last season.:D
anyhow, all i can say is,after paying the P500 fee at NBS, they better not make me wait a week--even a day--longer than necessary or i'm suing!hehe.
meron na ngang nakapila ng mga hihiram ng copy ko after i read it.so we'll all sue.

sobrang off topic po, pero question lang:
anyone who reads jk knows that she has a knack for even the most minute of details. even the more minor professors at hogwart get some sort of mention in her books, i.e. prof. vector, sinistra and binns. ewan ko if i just missed it, but does she ever mention the name of the professor that teaches muggle studies at hogwarts??? lalang, just wondering :confusing:
back on topic, im going at borders midnight this thursday to attend the harry potter release coffee party. cant wait :bounce:

Sure kaya na makakakuha sa June 21. My sis reserved and payed the 500 bucks just yesterday at NBS SM Manila. I told her that she might not get a copy this weekend so she called the branch. The saleslady claims that she's sure of getting a copy and that they'll entertain those with reservation first.
I have my doubts though. Does she know how many copies they're getting and how many have already reserved? They won't sell to the hundreds (thousands?) of customers that didn't reserve but are there on 10am?

has anyone heard of the news that a truckload of HP Book 5 had been hi-jacked anow the books are missing? I don't know the exact details, but I saw the last parts of the news at CNN and apparently, the publishers are all worried that there would be a leak and people who stole the books would release details from book.
That was one daring heist! And I wonder how the police are ever going to track down the books...
I don't want spoilers... but I'm dying to know what's gonna happen. Anyone here part of the gang of thieves? Hehehe
Wanna share some infos with me? Like would there be any Harry and Hermione action going on? Forget Ron! I hate the guy!

Ay na-hurt ako. :depressed: (charing!)
I happen to like Ron... even more than Harry, actually. :beam:
I love his sarcasm, I think he's funny that way.
