School is not that important, MONEY (of course HAPPINES is the most improtant, pero I was saying between the two) is more important between the two. UP ka nga pero you work for a wage and here comes someone from a supposedly more inferior school who own a business and is making a lot of money. I'd rather be the latter :lol:

I don't think any sensible person would engage in a full-on school bashing thread. Those who actually participate in them are immature. There's not much point promoting your school to people who won't be influential in the future anyway.

People are negative when people try and overrank their own school.
For example, Ateneo is a fine school but its reputation lies only on their liberal arts program. Although their management and sciences programs are good its students/alumni seem to try and push its Liberar Arts strength onto the sciences and management programs. While this is important, its only one part of the equation. Ateneo misses on way too many fronts relative to UP & DLSU (recruiting, selectivity, grad placement, endowment, faculty resources, quality of graduate programs, etc), areas where its competitors excel.

The only time Ateneo gets ripped apart is when its students overrank it. Call it a ranked 3rd/4th school and no one will complain.
