What can you say sa Balik sa UP Info-Ad?

ANC &ABS regularly shows this ad, and I find it very interesting and best of all Eye-Catching.

If am correct this is one of the few ads that UP System have ever produced. The editing and the way it was presented was excellent(considering those who promote it were product of the same institution); moreover the ad defies the usual exageration and pretention scheme(that the other schools tries to do in promoting their turf.

Kudos to those who come-up with these ads, it is a refreshing and inviting ad and best of all it hit two target at the same time, to inivite alumni to return to their alma mater and subliminaly promoting UP in general.

I am not from UP but to those people who come-up with these ads saludo ako sa inyo. Even the annotation was in tagalog in general madaling maintindihan and in someways it mold and instill a a sense of pride for being a UPian.

kaya lang bat naman sa ABS network n'yo lang ipinapakita and also sa cable, sayang mas marami sana ang mainspire to do good para they can have a shot in entering our country's premier university.

If the quality of the info-ad of the president were atleast half of these, baka ngayon masasabi na ni GMA na she got a strong appeal sa masa.

I hope other universities who will try to follow UP's way of promoting their university would immitate your scheme that is showing reality as it is walang dagdag-bawas, now i admit if you are for the challenge of college life try applying first at UP and maybe [B] your future begins there!.

i have only seen 3. the one with david celdran, angel aquino, and karen davila. sino yung ibang taga-UP na nagpromote?

I like it because it makes me mighty proud that I was a product of the system. I just hope they also feature outstanding alums from the other UP campuses, especially Los Baños, although Angel Aquino from UP Baguio made an appearance.

The ad's a glossy production highlighted by the pivotal roles played by prominent UP alumni throughout Philippine history. The message is clear: UP is head and shoulders above the tacky self-promotion efforts of other commercialized schools. UP was responsible for laying the foundations for what you've become, kaya huwag kang makakalimot. Kailangan namin ang donasyon nyo.

Naalala ko tuloy nang one time magtalk si Chancellor Roman sa amin, nalungkot ako kasi naiipit sila lagi sa gitna, student-activists tsaka kongreso. They practically beg sa mga mambabatas para huwag bawasan ang budget for UP. Hindi naman kasi makakarelate lahat ng mga mambabatas lalo pa kung hindi sila taga-UP before, or di nila masyado iniisip ang edukasyon.

As for the ad, it was very tasteful, and medyo pampagising sa mga superficial attributes promoted ng ibang commercialized schools sa mga ad nila. It humbly presents its being a premier institution for a lot of disciplines. Saludo ako sa mga gumawa ng ad.

Kakaiba talaga siya compared sa ads ng iba. Ewan ko, pero mas lalo akong na motivate na mag-aral para sa Finals ko nung Monday nang napanood ko minsan yung info-ad.

i think this ad campaign is being done in commemoration of UP's golden anniversary after their transfer from the Manila to the Diliman Campus. I got from the PDI that most of the batch (after the war) are now in top caliber positions of the government, corporations, court halls and almost every unit of governing body in the land.

Saw the ad for the first time this evening, the one with Gene Orejana [sp?]. Loved it. Very tastefully done. My first reaction was, "Whaaat!? UP's advertising na rin?! What the heck for!?" But then I saw that it was for UPAA...

Did channel 2 produce the ads? How come they're only shown on ABS and ANC? And based on the posts before mine, most of the UP alums in the ads are ABS talents, with the exception of David Celdran.

yap david celdran is part of the ANC family. he is a producer of some of the shows in ANC that include ces drilon's point blank. nywy, i am also from UP and im very well-pleased with the ad. d concept is very basic and simple, yet informative and straight-to-the point :) ok din yung mg talents na ginamit nila, yun nga lang most of them are from abs :D ang pinaka-hate ko lang na talent na kinuha nila is Riki Kwek. may napatunayan na ba sya? eh lagi nga syang nabubulol sa newscast nya. sori, but m from UP mascom at sobrang pinagtatawanan si Riki Kwek sa amin. she's not delivering the news ryt at talk about being sobrang ma-feeling :mad: bak to the topic, sana lang ipalabas din sya sa ibang channels para mas wider ang reach ;) m so proud m from UP
