I'd go for JaRule. I dunno about nelly. I'm not that into Rap. Just heard him from J.Lo. La lang. :)

NELLY and JA RULE. oh jesus h christ.

ok. in "1 love, 1 music" fashion, i'm going to say that i respect them both. nelly built his image on his unique rapping style (points for delivery, but not performance... he can't do it in tune when it's LIVE). ja rule, like every half-decent producer, relies on a good melodic hook (think puff daddy and jermain dupri). he took it one step further by using the sexy-rnb-singer-doing-the-chorus formula not one, not twice, but THREE times and counting!

but look at them both in terms of content and relevance... oh WOW. what could ever possess anyone to think that either of them could be the "best" rapper?

wu-tang. krs one. mos def. talib kweli. nas. tupac. now THATS what i'm talking about.

ill go with nelly.

both have distinctive tunes. nelly has the high-pitched type while ja rule has the gravel tone . but i love to hear the boy from st. louis, missouri rather than ja rule.
