Yung iba naman they don't even bother to return the book at all.

the thing i hate the most to see in books are cracks in their spines; i hate it when people really spread out the pages of my books!

:wolv: i hate it when people borrow my books tapos ilalatag ng face down, make underlines...grrrr. lalo na pag may cracks ang spines. okay lang sana kung mura. rare pa naman ang iba. :grrr:

tip lang guys...

everytime i lend my books to people, i always take note of the title of the book and who borrowed, and place a post-it note on my mirror. kahit magalit sila, kinukulit ko pag di binabalik! :D

Hate it when people don't return my books! Learned that lesson in grade school. I had so many books lost because of that. I also hate it when people borrow my magazines and they tear out pages and they don't tell me! They just return it sobrang sira na!

Others: when they open my books super wide so the spine looks awful, reading my books in the comfort room while doing number 2, lending it to others without telling me, not returning it... what else? Grr...

at, shempre needless to say, nagkalukot-lukot pa yung ibang covers! arrrgh talaga!:chainsaw:

Naiinis ako when people fold the corners of a page (dog ear b yon?) or when people put the book down na open tapos lalagyan ng something heavy. Kainis talaga

They don't return my books!!!!! Grrrrrrrr..... And this happens to my favorite ones, too. And I cringe whenever people fold the page's corners -- hello, that's why there's such a thing called bookmarks, you know!

That's why I don't usually lend my books anymore. I invest in books, absolutely love them and take good care of them. I can't bear the thought of others not handling them the right way.

Ijust observed this things from my bro. I just don't know if its just his personality or he is just simply an OC.

He doesn't like :

1. lines on the spine of the book so you shouldn't open the book that well
2. dog-ears
3. destroyed plastic cover (he covers practically every book he has with plastic cover. you can't borrow it unless it's covered)
4. any marks or stains in the book.

Sobrang OC ako pagdating sa mga libro, especially my fave ones. Dapat walang kalukot-lukot--I always check the corners and edges. Lines on the spine are an absolute no-no.

When I lend my book, I expect it to be back exactly as it was before I lent it. Otherwise, that person I lend to becomes marked for life at hindi ko na siya pinahihiraman uli.

My latest agony is one of my Harry Potter books. I usually lend my books pag covered with plastic na, pero nangulit ang isa kong friend. He said that he'll cover it. Later, some pages started to come out.

Kakaasar talaga. Tip for everyone: next time we lend a book, let's cover them first AND check out the "background"of the person we're lending it to.

I really hate it kapag binabalik sa akin yung book, tapos may malaking gusot yung cover! :bop:

Kaya .. I don't lend my books nalang :p

Maslalo na HP & LoTR Books!! :p

Getting books from my shelves without telling me.

Bending the spine.

Spilling sardine oil on the pages.

:)

And I thought I was the only freak here.

i'm really OC about covering my books. i cut all the extraneous parts out instead of just folding them and use double-sided tape in sticking the flaps to each other. i never attach the plastic cover to the book itself (baka magusot in the future at para madaling palitan).

i hate it when people cover my books themselves, it messes up my system (not to mention my books).

damaged spines from opening too widely. geez, i once lent a book out and it was photocopied and ack!! now there are several lines on the spine and the page's glue has been overstretched! it was sooo irritating, and considering it was my brother who lent it, i can't even complain!!

smudges and dog-ears. that's what happened to my precious harry potter hardbounds.... :hopeless: should nvr had let them known i had it...

ppl who won't return books. like, if i borrow at least i'll return it the next day! ok, i know most ppl can't do that, but can't they return it w/in a week?

i don't mind ppl lending it out... but they should tell me first.

i really hate

- dog-eared pages
- bending the spine
- writing on the pages ! #@&!!
- getting food stains on the pages!

sometimes i think the way people treat their books are a good indication of how they treat their friends.

i would kill the person who returns my book with its pages smudged by an unidentified liquid stain.. (except if it would be of sexual type) :glee:

when people borrow my books and don't return them.

my cousin borrowed my copy of ladlad which was autographed by neil garcia. he hasn't returned it. i want to buy a new copy, but it won't be the same since it won't have neil's autograph.

...i hate it when people borrow my books and does not know to return it.

...i hate it when returned and that you turn the pages, you can see smudges food.

...i hate it when pages aren't smooth anymore.

...a bookmark is good but putting things aside from it just to mark the page he/she last read is unbearable.

..i also hate it when i could see writings on the book although this just happens occassionally.

**Sometimes, people would not understand of how sensitive we become when dealing with our books but i know book lovers like myself would agree and understand that BOOKS ARE TREASURES.

when people return the book, and it's spine is no longer in one piece to the extent that the pages are falling out. that to me is the greatest of evils in book-borrowing...and that has happened to one of my hard bound (and mucho expensive) books.

nakakaasar that you lend people your books in perfect condition and they handle it without any regard whatsoever of the book's sanctity. materialistic and possessive pa naman ako when it comes to those.

Nakakainis talaga kapag:

-ang tagal-tagal isoli!! :galit:

-nababasa nila yung book. nagkukulubot yung paper at naninilaw. Nakakainis nga kasi yung Harry Potter ko ganun yung nangyari!

-when people read them while eating and you find bits of food stuck in it! especially pag kanin (kung kanin nga yung nadikit doon!!!)

-when people don't use bookmarks and fold the upper right part of the page!

i hate it when people dog-ear my books. hindi ko nga ginagawa yun sa books ko e, sila pa kaya.
