I've been searching the Pyrdain Chronicles [sp?] since I found out about it here on PeX. If I had the money, I'll probably fly to London or to where the hell it was published and purchase it there.

Hmmm... I'd also buy those Angel books and Dream-interpreting books... and Tarot books to... :D

If you are in Manila.... Try sa Powerbooks sm Megamall. i bought my paperback book4 sa national megamall.
Minsan parang na tempt ako na bumili ng naka BOX na 4 hardbounds nung nag megasale. kasi 20% off. you'll save mga 600 pesos.

Pero before that I bough the book4 paperback. pero hindi yung SCHOLASTIC. blommsbury ata yun. iba yung cover design niya sa books 1-3. pero i will collect the papaerbacks na lang kahit na iba yung book4.

depende sa iyo kung ano yung feel na as for your collection. ako i would definitely go for the hardbound. pero kumpleto ka naman. so why bother. at least may harry potter collection ka..

well, saywhat, i actually have the e-books but for some reason bitin yung book four! i wasn't able to finish book four and i'm forced to buy the hardbound to satisfy my curiousity as to how book 4 ended...

i like e-books...but i love BOOKS! :D nothing compares to the feel and smell of paper on fingertips, seeing the illustrations on the cover or on the pages if it's a picture book. magandang substitute ang e-book because of the fact that it's handy and none of it's pages would yellow, it's environment-friendly and all. if they figure out how to make an e-book today look something like a real book, with the illustrations and pictures minus the paper nga lang and without getting most of your palm's space, then i'll learn how to love e-books. for now, i like my literature on paper.

Hindi ko na maalala lahat ng gusto kong bilhin, pero here are the ones that have had me salivating:

1. yung bagong poetry book ni Jorie Graham, entitled "Never." How bongga naman the title, noh?

2. the late Kevyn Aucoin's first book, "Face Forward." May lupet photos kasi si Tori Amos dun eh. Plus, make-up tips can't hurt either. :D

3. one of Sharon Olds' earlier poetry books, "Satan Says."

4. all of Nick Hornby's books.

5. I'd want to buy that book on Philippine folklore and legends. Hindi ko na lang maalala yung author, pero I think it was published by UP Press.

6. yung bagong book on Gay Quotes ("Bongga Ka, Day" yata yun). Basta edited by Neil Garcia, etcetera.

7. all the books of John Irving.

8. uh, can't I get EVERYTHING from a different bookstore na lang? or powerbooks? or page one? or yung goodwill sa glorietta, which, i swear, has a lot more books than some "specialty" shops.

_Mase_: are you, by any chance, talking about "Things Fall Apart?" :)

ripopee: I remember a time na nagkalat yung "Letters from the Closet." A friend got a copy for me for around 30puks lang yata. Malay mo, may mga cheapang acquisitions pa. :)
