Hello mga pare at mare!

Who here is using IE6? Did you download it using MS's active setup? Anong ginawa nyo dun sa folder na pinag-DLan nya (yung may text file na "this folder is safe to delete". I'm planning to have the folder burned kasi malaki-laki rin ito.

Pwede ko kayang gamiting installer yun o kailangan ko pang naka-connect sa Net if I would have to reinstall it??

kung yung dinownload mo naman e typical, tapos nagdagdag ka ng ibang components, kunwari "language auto-selection", kukunin niya to from the net kasi hindi niya to dinownload during the initial installation.

so if I will reinstall, I should choose the options that I had during the first installation? makes sense... thanks

download mo yung IE6setup file nya (mga around 500k)

then run it exactly like this:

ie6setup.exe" /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"

this will download all the setup files of IE6, burn it on a CD, then you have your installer na, no need to connect to the internet

If using Windows98, download the small online installer ie6setup.exe.

Then run the program while online, select Minimal or Customize, select Advanced then select Download only.

If you're using Win2k or WinXP, it's more complicated, use this: http://support.microsoft.com/suppor...s/Q257/2/49.ASP

By the way, I suggest you use IE5.5 Service Pack 2 or IE6.0 with the March 28, 2002 Security Rollup Package Update.

After downloading to the folder you specified, immediately copy the setup files to removable media or burn it to CD. Else, make a copy of the setup files and run the copies, not the downloaded originals to keep them in their pristine unused state.

Warning: The setup files are huge! Sometimes reaching 50MB, depending on which OS the setup files are intended for. If you wish to have a universal IE installer for all Windows, it'll exceed 110MB or so.
