ACCOMPLISHMENTS ng CSB PEP SQUAD...

I'm very eager to know any infos regarding the History of CSB Pep Squad. Infos like:

-> when was the squad formed
-> competitions you have participated in
-> titles, trophies...
-> bad and great moments (performances)
-> trivias
-> etc.

hmmmm....

lets start with the achievements of the csb pep squad first...
1.) they won the RX 93.1 Cheering Competition, THREE TIMES... three-peat CHAMPIONS... :)
2.) They won 2nd place in Atc Cheering Competition
3.) They also won 2nd place in WNCAA Cheering Competition

ABOUT THE HISTORY... i guess sofiag9 can best give the complete details of it... she was a former captain and president of csb pep squad, and she is currently the trainor of CSB Pep Squad. hi mami sofia :wave: :)

I am pasting a post from a Pexer - iskul . He was, I think a term or a year ahead of me in the squad, but we are good friends. This guy has definitely been there from the start.

"Not only did we not have admin support, but we were bullied by our fellow Benildeans (na tinanggal sa kabila) and the Pep from the other side.

- We did not have ROTC exemption.

- We had to practice outside for competitions and performances.

- We paid for our own uniforms.

- We had to fix the drums ourselves.

- We did not get excused for performing in competitions.

- Etc., etc.

But we were happy. And we performed well. Maybe not as good as you guys now but we performed well.

Kayo pampered. Do you know how lucky you guys and girls are?

I was with the CSB Pep from its original recognized inception at DLSU-CSB in 199x. Magulo noon. Walang nagtuturo sa amin. We had different teachers, from old DLSU-main squad people to professional dance instructors to whomever.

There were some who left dahil napagod na lang...but there were some who stayed...and shined...they were not perfect, but they tried their best to make things work.

To name some notable peppers:

- si Alex, Joy, Maricel and the others (forgot their names...they were the first to "try" to establish a CSB Pep Squad in 89 (or was it 91), but failed until they tried again in 94 and succeeded)

- then sina James, Jobas, Achas, Mike Montero, Rufus, Jon d'Mangga, Binoy, Tess, Janelle, Mellou, Eric and the others....(batchmates ko...sige na nga...almost ka-batch mates ko :-)

- then sina Rose, Roy, Kiko"

ahem...mas nauna ako kay James sa pep ah. :lol: I will be trying to post pics next week because my scanner has broken down and I had it fixed. I'll be getting it on Sunday so mga Tuesday mag-lagay na ako ng pics.
