I'm planning to buy a new one. How about sun glasses for those who have poor eye sight? Can you suggest any brand? I like kasi Oakley's style kaso di yata sila pwede ng may grado ang mata.

yup. that's true. unless you wear contacts, there's really no way for you to enjoy your oakley shades. :unhappy: ( i also have the same problem as you do)

oakley makes prescription glasses now. but i don't like the style.

anyways, you can look for the brand Silhouette. they are extremely light-weight but the frame and the kind of lens it requires will set you back for about P12,000.

and if you really want to wear shades without wearing contacts, buy glasses with clip-on shades from Giorgio Armani.

You can buy a lot of Oakley standard shades with prescription lenses. Just go to their Web site to find out which frames suppor Rx.

Locally, there are a couple of optical shops (I know of one in Glorietta and one in Galleria) that carry Oakley Rx -- but they're damn expensive. The frames (esp. the titanium ones) go for as high as P15K, and the Rx lenses are at minimum around P7K last I checked. *shudder*

Hey, where'd you find those Armanis with clip-ons? I've been looking for decent, signature eyewear with clip-ons -- but so far, I've had more success with cheap 'generic' glasses with clip-ons. The ones I'm wearing now cost P2,500 with the Rx multi-coated lens and two clip-ons: one dark for daytime and one 'smoked brown' for night-time.

I didnt realize that Oakley Rx costs that much. I thought it's cheaper than the usual shades. Lens for 7000? Thats too much. How much are the armani clip ons? Thanks for replying guys

I suggest, Escada.

nothing beats a Nautica.
it is the only brand that offers polarized lenses.
check em out, esp the N6000 series.

armani with clip-ons should be available at sabater-pascual, sarabia, ideal & j. vinas at shangri-la.

i wouldn't suggest the oakley rx. they don't really look that nice. besides, it looks too sporty and won't match if you're in formals.

yeah, lenses can cost up to P7K. kasi, there's a lot of brands like Hoya, American Optic, Nikon etc. and depending on your grade and how thin you want it (i think the thinnest is 1.8mm), the price really goes up! Mine just cost P2,500 a couple of years ago. It's a Nikon lens, with 400 grade and about 2mm.

btw, if you like the style of silhouette, may i suggest the brand Haruka. saw them at the optical shop at the greenhills theater mall. and it's quite cheap (less than P3K yata ex. lens)

you must also consider the type of metal you want. do you sweat a lot? if you do, make sure you buy Titanium frames.

whew! that's all!

btw, the clip-ons of armani are very discreet. they won't look baduy!

The CK Titanium glasses are sorta nice. I think it's at P12,000. May clip-on but I can't remember how much.
