FOR ME, I THINK THAT HIKING IS THE BEST FOR OUTING ACTIVITY ... WHY ??? BECAUSE DUN MO MAKIKITA REAL PERSONALITY NG PERSON, IF HE/SHE'S A COWBOY OR NOT ... COWBOY IN THE SENSE NA NDE MAARTE & ACCEPTS ALL THINGS THAT COME IN THEIR WAY ... *** TIPONG NDE MAARTE SA PAGKAIN, IN CLIMBING A MOUNTAIN ... THAT'S A GOOD ONE ...

IT'S NOT JUST FUN ... BUT U CAN SEE WHICH PERSON SUITS YOU FOR A FRIENDSHIP .. KUNG KA- VIBES MO OR NOT ...

COMMON NA KASI ANG SWIMMING, ESP NGAYON SUMMER ... SO HIKING IS NOT THAT COMMON TO TRY & TO EXPLORE ... MARAMI KA PANG MAKIKITANG NATURE'S BEAUTY ... :)

Summer is a time to relax and unwind. It is a time to get away from it 'all'.

And the best activity for any barkada - a day at the beach!

Summer just isn't complete without a trip to the beach. Walking in the sand, basking in the sun and taking a dip in the ice cold salty beach water is my idea of fun.

To make things more interesting however, group games and lots and lots of picture taking are in order. :p

My friends and I actually enjoy cruising. Nothing feels better than just getting in a car (or van) and let the road take you anywhere. On one road trip we went around the Laguna lake (and beyond). We brought along enough food for at least 10 people eventhough there were only 5 of us. It's fun because when you have nothing planned, you just go with the flow. You can go to the places you wanna go to, pero siempre, may botohan pa yun.
We ended up fishing, swimming and sampling the local delicacies of the different towns we visited.
Btw, we started in Angono and ended up in Lucban. It was fun!!!

i think a cool barkada outing would be a road trip or backpacking here, like a tour of luzon or something.

for a road trip, it would be really nice to spend time with friends inside a car, despite being cramped. you get to bond or sing songs over the car radio, and have the chance to see different places and meet different kinds of people in the process.

backpacking would also be great, like exploring an island or maybe the mountain province. it would be great way to explore a place, and yourselves as well while bonding with your barkada.

Personally, I think that if I had my whole barkada with me, any outing, even one to the boondocks, would be a fun and enjoyable experience.

And to the boondocks it is for me.

I'd love to go to Baguio or Tagaytay with a whole bunch of friends. Sightseeing is always enjoyable. Horseback-riding is a unique and fun activity. Barbeque parties are always fun.

The more important thing for me is actually not the activities we do, but the company that I have.

back in college. every end of the semester we would rent a house and we would spend the night together. with all the drinks, music and games, etc. and we would have a revelation about each other... what we like about each other and what do we like to change. we would also reminisce moments that happened with in the sem or past years. iba talaga, dami mong malalaman about everything.. youll learn and experience new things, either good and bad. :D

syempre, an overnight swimming out with your barkada would be great. tapos mag-rent kayo ng private room and then sama-sama kayong matulog lahat don. and then you'll talk about things that you've done in the past. mga nakakatawa, mga nakakatakot basta all sorts of things.
kahit na sa tuwing mag-outing kayo ng barkada, e paulit-paulit pa din ng kwento, masaya pa rin. kase that's part of growing old.
as you grow old together, meron kayong bonding alongside :spinstar:

my idea for a relaxing outing would be a night with my barkada @ Tagaytay Highlands or Tagaytay. Maraming kainan kasi duon, may casino, maraming hotels, like second baguio malamig, konting polusyon. May mushroom burger duon na wala ** sa Manila, & you can be spare yourself from being soo tan. Secondly swimming, sa Palawan or Boracay, para you can visit with the company of friends & explore the places' beauty. Ok dun ang jetski & motorboat(kung may budget) If not naman kahit na magvolleyball kayo sabaysabay. Then pag pagod na kayong lahat, you can talk & talk the whole evening for the bonding & if may time pa, barhopping is another fun retreat( drinking excluded, pero pag light drinks why not) ;) ok din sa dos palmas, ang island hopping sa snail island:p

Activities that would make a group outing fun and exciting would be doing stuff that everyone would enjoy and at the same time be opportunities to bond with each other more. It doesn't have to be flashy like going to bars. The whole barkada could go bungee-jumping and jet-skiing, after which they'll eat a meal cooked by themselves. Then they'd watch a movie everyone would like, such as The Godfather, or a scary movie such as, hmm, Halimaw sa Banga? Afterwards, the whole barkada would tell ghost stories and funny anecdotes, reminisce about the past, and make plans for the future. Then they'd all sleep on the same bed at the hotel room they all chipped in for.

a good barkada gimmick for me would be.

road trip during the day. mas ok if one transpo lang para bonding agad. tapos syempre lots of crackers and sandwiches na kinakain habang nasa sasakyan. play card games, syempre pustahan. hiking sana before ma-reach yung place na pwede pag-swimmingan. then eat lots and lots of food pagdating sa resthouse. puro kain syempre. then sa resthouse merong videoke or disco. para kantahan and sayawan til sawa. nightswimming with lots of food (again) -- crackers, fruits, chocolates, drinks. pwede na kahit yung nasa big jakusi kayo lahat tapos tipong sharing of secrets or anything that you hate/like bout the other people there as in para bonding.

i always like doing truth or dare. pero syempre, depende yun kung di kasama real crush ko :teehee:

an induction climb at mt. pulag via akiki trail-ambangeg would make a group outing fun and exciting.

this will make our group bond together as a team while climbing a mountain with difficult terrain. this will surely create an atmosphere of respect and camaraderie among officers and members of our group. it will test our patience and endurance while conquering the mountain. aside from that, our induction climb will be a fun and exciting activity because... that's the time our trainees will be inducted-- we can do whatever we want them to do!

 nothing could make a group outing totally fun and exciting than an overnight stay near the beach. the group will get the chance to relax under the twilight sky and yet have the great pleasure of partaking in numerous activities like beach volley, swimming, jetskiing, snorkeling, etc.

plus, and this is a great plus, the whole barkada will get a chance to reminisce good old times and share the life they have at the present over dinner or in front of a bonfire. this is especially a wonderful experience for the group of friends who haven't seen each other for awhile.

yup! a variety of beach related activities and bonding with your chums are definitely the way to go and spend the summer. :D

a trip to the beach.... and a shark. hey, you said "exciting"!

okay, just kidding. seriously, i'd say an experience in nature. diving among reefs.... hiking a mountain trail.... there's nothing like experiencing the natural beauty of our country to enhance the enjoyment of a friends' outing.

For me, a group outing would be fun and exciting if:

By spending the whole 24 hours with close friends. You could start the day with fun in a place like Enchanted Kingdom or any recreational activities like sports including swimming. Road tripping and sightseeing along the countrysidde would be nice. Then spending the whole night, around some foods and drinks, with the whole barkada by, intimately sharing stories, and experiences from the last time you met each and everyone to the present days. Typical place would be the windy Tagaytay highlands. And end the outing in an exciting way before going on your way to the city before the sun rises.

for going out as much as we can anywhere would be best as long as napagusapan ng barkada! GAME LAHAT! KNOWING YOUR FRIENDS MORE AND BIND CLOSELY IS ENOUGH FOR TRUE FRIENDSHIP! ngayon mostly outing sa beach or swimming, movies, eating (the best option for most barkada) or food tripping!, knowing your friends family. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY MAKING NEW FRIENDS YAN ANG EXCITING AT GUSTO GAWIN NG KAHIT SINO!!!

Definitely camping out and trekking to a faraway place like Sagada.

Roughing it builds character. Roughing it together with friends builds your character and bonds you as a group. There's nothing like being out in nature with just you and your friends -- you'll rely on one another and discover more of one another (you'll finally know who you'll vote out first... ).

I've heard that the person you go to Sagada with will be your partner for life. Why should that be any different with friends? The friends you go up with to Sagada will be your friends for life. :D It's the bonding that makes it all the fun. It's exciting because it's an activity that's not ordinary (trekking) and in an extraordinary location (Sagada).

nothing will be more fun and exciting than hiking and mountain climbing. mt.makulot is the best bet for those who are doing it the first time. the struggle to climb up will show the different facets of the barkada's personalities and will give the group the chance to really know each other and bond with each other.

For me, barkada fun is going to the beach and having a lot of fun sharing stories and reminiscing about the good old days. Syempre pa overnight. May tent at may campfire. Any activity surrounded with the beauty of God's nature brings more fun and meaning to it. Of course, food should be plenty. Laughs too!!! :D

A bonfire definitely! Form a circle around the bonfire and then do some horror story telling amidst roasted mallows and hot chocolate. The more horrific tale...the better....:D This is a good opportunity for gals to be afraid and cuddle up to their special ones. At the same time, its a chance for the guys to act strong and courageous and chivalrous and give their special ones a big strong loving hug...:teehee:

It doesn't have to be anything special. The important thing is that everyone is together, having fun. A simple road trip to Tagaytay would be fun - listening to music, singing. Then a the barkada will have a picnic there. Don't forget to bring the camera! Then a road trip going back. I think road trips are fun, you get to smell fresh air, you sing silly songs together, you talk about anything and everything! Of course, an outing will never be complete without food, so it's important to have that picnic. Inihaw and simple stuff - yum! Pictures extend the fun. Even if you're back in Manila, even if it has been days or even weeks, the barkada can still have fun, looking at the pictures, remembering all the fun.

the best place to go would probably be Palawan! it would be really fun and exciting because there are so much activities there. i went there 2 summers ago, but with my mom and her friends.. it was fun and exciting even though it wasnt really my crowd.
in Palawan, you can go snorkeling, the beaches were really nice and clean. you can go island hopping, there are lots of islands where you can go by boat. you can go kayaking, there are caves to be explored and shores to be reached in the different islands. definitely breath-taking views!

a special trip somewhere to bulacan would also be great.. there are a lot of swimming pools.. its more of fun and excitement! but if the group wants to be of more help while having fun. then they could tag along homeless children, or kids from bantay bata to join them, im sure it would be worth all the effort. the kids would really appreciate the effort and the barkada would learn a lot out of it. at the same time, they would enjoy themselves and have a sense of fulfillment too! :forkangel:

What about going to a place where the group would have to hike, experience and have impression of different and new surroundings? Trace the route of discovery of the place-- from the city, to the barrios and out to the sea—the beach. TAKE PHOTOS (bring a tripod and a self-timing camera). Stroll with backpacks in an unfamiliar provincial town, try the public transportation—together, try the province’s popular delicacy in its popular resto or turo-turo (MORE PHOTOS) -- discover for yourselves the foreign place (AND MORE PHOTOS!). Pause at the barrio store and meet the people and families there (Hindi pa ba ngawit ang panga nyo sa kangingiti?-- PHOTOS AGAIN!). Offer something unique that you have that the people there—especially the children-- don’t normally have. (hmm… PHOTOS AGAIN…pose like a public official doing charitable works). Trek their hills (the safe ones—no NPA’s or Abu Sayyaf’s) and nature trip. (ano pa-- e di PHOTOS ULI!!). Smell the sea breeze and hear the waves as you come nearer the beach. Settle down, perhaps pitch a tent, lay a huge rug or mat and settle there together. Ask the fishermen for some fish (Pay for them of course), Ihaw, Ihaw, Paypay. Swimming, swimming. Have nice meals (lunch and, perhaps, dinner) together. (PHOTOS uli) Bonding, bonding, and more bonding. (PHOTOS forever!!!) Now, where to go? Near? Far? Check the barkada’s budget. Go as near as Siniloan (no beach there, but a little water fall with cool natural rock pool) or as far as Mt. Apo or Palawan, where the barkada could really feast with mother nature.

we just had our hiking-swimming adventure in batangas.

it was extremely fun!!! we were not that familliar with the place except for one of our barkada. and we trekked the woods and climbed down a mountain edge for about 45mins to 1 hr and at the end of it was a crystal clear river with boulders and rapids along the stretch. all of us immediately jumped into the water and it was really worth the long walk!!!

it was a gimick where all of us got ourselves into real adventure and not just plain dip in the water nor the common stroll in a theme park. an adventurous gimick would be the best for the hot summer break!

Actually, tama si knoty-boy. Any gimmick with the whole barkada is a blast!

Pero i would like to do the following activities with my barkada:
go to davao
explore the city
buy things, memorabilia, souvenirs
eat at the famous restaurants there
check-in at a deluxe hotel
play boardgames, charades, or whatever we can think of
sleep for the night
early in the morning, have breakfast
then go to the islands (maybe to the pearl farm)
stay in a resort there
go scuba diving, snorkeling, skin diving, water skiing, jet skiing
eat lunch (smorgasbord)!!
take a nap/just talk talk talk
late afternoon, play basketball with the people there (pustahan syempre pero okay lang kahit matalo)
dinnertime!! smorgasbord pa rin!
and do it again for 3 days more... :D

the outing really depends on who your companions are...

in my case, kung high school barkada yung kasama ko, a good gimmick would be someplace near (para makapunta buong barkada), na mag-eenjoy lahat. Kasi dba hindi na kami nagkikita ng high schol friends ko kasi iba-iba na kami ng school. So this outing is supposed to be like a reunion or a get together. Of course important factor din yung mag-eenjoy lahat, para maging memorable naman yung barkada outing. In our case, i guess EK would be ok... or night swimming.... :)

This is to confirm what I mentioned in my latest email to you. You know what I am referring to, don't you?

As for my thoughts on barkada gimmick, I really would enjoy going with friends into a "Philippines First" trip. I know that it would be expensive but I am willing to save for it and keep this gimmick for at least three consecutive years.

Maybe we will be concentrating in Luzon area first, then the next year, the Visayas and the third year, Mindanao.

Each member of my barkada will give their input on where to go and what to do. The most number of places we will go to will be same as the number of members in the barkada. However, there must be a consensus on where to go and what to do.

We may come up with mountain climbing in Mt. Banahaw, or visiting the old Spanish towns in the Ilocos regions, swimming and soaking the sun in Boracay or maybe we will just avail of the services of an agency to provide us with information on some interesting spots that we are not aware of.

Sooner or later, my barkada and I will go our separate ways in life. Some of us may stay in diffrent countries, but we will always have the memories of being able to see the Philippines first, before we exchange it for the siren call of a foreign land.

One thing that makes a barkada a barkada is that the members are bonded together in some way - whether by a common interest, or by friendship and caring for each other, or more often, both.

When it comes to barkada gimiks, however, it is the common interest that will dictate what activities or outings the barkada will engage in. Depending on the interest, a barkada may find outings such as beach parties, kite-flying, clubbing, or even attending a cursillo or retreat, worthwhile and enjoyable.

There are no hard and fast rules on what activities a group may enjoy as different people have different definitions and different standards for fun. The one thing that makes any barkada activity an enjoyable and memorable experience is the fact that it is shared - shared by people who are simply delighted to be in each other's company. *okay*

Going to a place na kayo lang. Ika nga eh roughing it. Kayo ang nagluluto at naglalaba. Others would think that is not fun pero you will really get to know each other. Swap stories while washing the clothes by the stream. Take turns cooking each others favorite recipes. Sa gabi may bonfire. Sa tent din matutulog, para tabi tabi. Simple lang. Kasi a lot of activities nowadays make us forget that life is really supposed to be lived slowly and simply....andun ang fun...andun din ang spirituality. Nothing compares to solidly forged friendships....sometimes not even relatives.

Which activities would make a group outing fun and exciting?

suppose you and your friends planned a summer outing (say, swimming), i think the most fun activity you guys could do together is to cook for the activity.
you can group yourselves into two's or three's. pero kelangan all the pairs cook together at the same time, para masaya at magulo! and you can spice it up by asking each pair to cook something that represents what your barkada means to them. instant bonding!
and to make it more fun, why not experiment?! try cooking the kind of dishes you don't usually cook (or those you have never cooked before), or maybe you can invent new ones.
not only do you get to bring the kind of food you guys want, you also get to be creative and expressive, and even more bonded as a group.

we did something about 15 years ago, nagpunta kami ( group of 8) sa isang isla near mindoro na walang nakatira ang dala lang namin ay isang itak and 4 kilos of rice walang kaldero ect. umarkila kami ng banka para ihatid kami sa nasabing isla and told him to comeback after 10 days para sunduin kami .that time hindi pa uso ang cell phone which mean stranded kami with almost nothing . we also agreed that the rice we carried ay pang emergency lang. we just want to learn how to survive that time. but after 10 days hindi lang kami natuto how to survive, ang pagsasamahan namin ang naging mas malapit, ang pagbibigayan ay na develop, ang pagkakaroon ng team work . nakilala namin ng totoo ang isa't isa . and we enjoyed every minute of our stay in that island. after all these years we want to do it again pero laban ang oras sa aming schedules. one last thing hindi namin nagalaw ang dala naming 4 kilos of rice.

i think travelling to siquijor and unveiling its mysteries is a unique way of having fun. not only it is exciting but it is also thrilling and scary. the only way for us to know the reality of the mysteries in siquijor is by exploring and experiencing it by ourselves.

definitely our barkada will love this one of a kind experience.

hindi importante kung saan basta kumpleto ang barkada. leave all your problems from work and family and just go out with your friends. you can go cycling in bohol, shopping in cebu, or just enjoy a nice picnic at luneta park. you can simply be sharing beauty tips, talk about cars and girls, chika about the latest techie gadgets or just enjoy the sunset on the beach. its who you're with that makes an outing fun and exciting!

A bus tour from Manila to Davao is also interesting. We get to see places we only see in post cards.

A teen's life is all about beaches, movies, clubbing, and chilling out. These are the primary components of the life of a teenager... or so that's what the elders say. To straighten up some prejudice, as well as to become worthy as a teen, an activity that may be done this summer is to join Habitat for Humanity. A lot of youth are into this right now, mostly for school requirement reasons. Yet those who've joined this feel both a sense of enjoynment and satisfaction. They say it's a lot of fun to be around so many youth and at the same time doing something meaningful for the community. Summer's not just about having fun, it's also about doing something valuable and constructive of ourselves!

summer outings are made fun and exciting by genuine cameraderie. cold cans of soda, the requisite guitar, and comfortable positions--sitting, leaning, slouching, whatever--are enough to make the best memories. :)

pero isa pang importante...dapat walang dalang sabit!!! no girlfriends, no boyfriends, no bros or sis, at higit sa lahat walang mga gurang na chaperone! ^_~
