:) well.... hindi sa binibuild-up ko ang mga kalahi ko but...... talaga magandang mamili ng jewelries sa Ongpin. I bet,dun ka makakahanap ng ring na gusto mo... from yellow gold to white gold to platinum to two toned ring and precious to semi precious stone studded ring etc. great buys na,you can get great bargains pa.... frankly speaking... i prefer to buy my accessories there.... To tell you the truth i bought my "Cartier" 2 toned bangle and my "Ferragamo" white gold diamond studded bangle there. Cheaper na ang price maganda pa quality.:) :) :)

tiffany's =) kung naguumapaw ang iyong pera... (at kung sigurado kang "YES!" ang isasagot sa yo!)
still, its the proposal that counts.

I agree with karl_cute (nde dahil "cute ka ah :glee: ) na Ongpin has the greatest selection of jewelries and stuff... I personally love the platinum and white gold collection there kse unique yung ibang selection coz sila lang ang gumagawa or galing pa kung saang bansa so iba talaga yung dating... plus u can also make tawad pa when ur there, as compared to buying in the stores in the malls :D u can also have ur jewelry custom made there. What I do is I get these catalogues from different fine jewelry stores in the US and I have them copied by our suki in Ongpin. I get the exact style that I want, in great quality at a lesser price :D

Hey!!!! I know you!!!!!!! Wassup? I miss you!!!!
Anyway, to answer the question:
- Kendi's right, if you've got loads of moolah to throw away, you might as well get a ring from Tiffany's, Cartier or Bulgari.
- Or if you're on a very very very tight budget, go to the very reliable Ongpin merchants.

Tiffany's and Cartier are in Rustan's Makati (not sure in Shangrila). Bvlgari has an outlet in 6780 Ayala Ave.
Don't be afraid to splurge on jewelry, it's an investment whose value will never diminish in time. Wherever you decide to buy it from, just make sure you beef up on jewelry or you know someone who knows jewelry just to be sure you're getting what you're paying for.
As far as engagement goes, you can never go wrong sticking with the classic solitaire. Keep in mind that this will be worn on the same finger with the wedding ring later so choose a design that will compliment the wedding ring in your mind.
And as kendi says, it's the proposal that counts. I guess you should direct your energies there. The ring stays in the finger and, god forbid, will be left in a washroom in some restaurant one day. The proposal stays in her heart forever.
Congratulations!
