Best is relative. It depends on the person.

I guess if you like to party, DLSU is better since it's academically easier there and there's more partying. Sports is big in DLSU.

If you're really serious about studying, Ateneo is better since they're more focused on academics.

Hello everyone.

Just a question for the Ateneans here. How much of an influence do the Jesuits have? I mean, how pervasive is the Jesuit infuence at Ateneo.

I went to a Jesuit University in the States, Boston College and I found that there was a nice balance of secular influences and the Jesuit "Men & Women for Others" Ethos. I had a friend who was an exchange student at Ateneo for a semester, but I never had a chance to ask her what she thought of Ateneo.

I can't speculate of any better reason other than Ateneans possess some kind of bitterness over La Sallians.

Sobra na kasi eh... parang all the chances they get, they bash us.

Why waste emotion on such a "lowly opponent"? Why all the black propaganda?

You don't need to resort to such dirty tactics if you're truly the best :)

sa lasalle nmn...hmm...hi-tech facilities and i believe *** CS nila is still the best in the country...being the first school to offer such a course...dba?

pero if given a choice...admu...iba ang image ng admu... ibang-iba sa lasalle...just ask those students who are not connected to either school...you'll see what i mean.

you know, your first two lines are the exact same thing Ateneans think about La Sallians --- i.e., may bitterness over Ateneans. It's the same old story. every chance La Sallians have, they bash Ateneans. typical thought. pare-pareho lang naman yata talaga eh. nag-iiba lang ng paradigm.

the post assumes a lot naman, latte. it assumes that indeed ateneans make it a habit to bash la sallians, and that we do spread black propaganda, which i don't think is entirely accurate. besides, ateneans could easily reverse the premisses (La Salle to Ateneo, and vice-versa) and ask the selfsame questions you're asking.

Thing is, you cast the first stone. Ang mga Ateneans napakabilis talagang tumirada dito sa PEx---and i'm not generalizing all, but there's quite a number of you. And naaasar lang ako dahil lagi na lang binabash ng mga Ateneans ang DLSU in the same old "you're poor in academics and only excel in sports" fashion--rousing my speculation of a lingering UAAP-fuelled bitterness. It's infuriating whence you guys are supposed to be "men for others."

Sige... i guess the argument is pointless. What paradigm you use, I do not know, but in my case all I ever see is that Ateneans in PEx use every chance they have to put down Lasallians, whence such actions are very un-Atenean, and such actions are definitely not done for the cause of ad majorem Dei gloriam.

The point it that he won because of the perception of the majority...and we know that perceptions can sometimes be wrong. Same as the way you percieve some Universities, baka nadadala at naiimpluwensiyahan lang ng image ang pagpili kung saang University tayo papasok.
