We all know that UAAP are way ahead than NCAA. Thanks to Ateneo and La Salle, good marketing group and a lot more.
I heard that NCAA is about to have an agreement with ABS-CBN.
What then are your suggestions/gimmicks to make NCAA at par with UAAP?:) :) :)

I think medyo takot yung ibang companies na mag-sponsor kasi medyo maliit ang market ng NCAA compared to the UAAP.
NCAA can regain its lost glory kung yung mga member schools eh magtutulong-tulong to hype up the league. Di lang yung kanya-kanyang strategy...

Even if ABS-CBN does eventually handle the TV coverage of the NCAA, the success of the league depends largely on the behavior of the crowd/ supporters/ students. They have to act civilized. Di lang naman people with NCAA affiliations ang manonood o susubaybay ng NCAA.
The NCAA supporters kasi tend to be more rowdy than the UAAP crowd and a fight in the stands is more likely to happen (believe me, I've covered both leagues a few years back). Look what happened in 1999 during the title game between JRU (JRC then) and Letran. Vintage back then covered the NCAA season, but kahit anong ganda ng coverage nila (though delayed), nasira dahil nagkagulo and the series ended abruptly. The league's image that was projected was a negative one. A negative image results in a lack of, or worse an absence of sponsors. No sponsors = no coverage.
There also has to be a rivalry in the NCAA that matches the Ateneo-La Salle rivalry in the UAAP. Rivalries always make a league, be it professional or collegiate.

1. BEHAVE those players and pipol if you have to use an iron hand do it!
3.Have lots of sponsors.
6. pakita ang majority ng games and not on a dead time slot!
7. also have a sort of weekly ncaa highlight show
yan pa lang

Talaga, walalang.
Meron ba talagang board members na kurakot?
Paano kaya nila nagagawa iyun?

I propose the following for the NCAA:
> That a commissioner be appointed that is not from any NCAA school so as to avoid speculation of favoring any school that will host each season and give him/her a term of 3 seasons depending on performance as appointed.
> Referees from BARECOM should be competent in preventing skirmishes inside and outside the court. Rumbles, shouting matches between alumni and students, and other incidents might be prevented if such calls are clear and concise.
> Computerization of statistics, scoring and more competent personnel in handling information and keeping the schools abreast with their respective standings. Keep pace with technology that can help the athletes. I smell diverted funds again.
> That NCAA officials be made clear of their roles in keeping this body tarnished from certain lapses in management. All that bureaucracy and red tape should be thrown in the garbage bin and politics away in handling sports matters. No wonder the sponsors avoid us, the problem must be within.
> We need not be at par with the UAAP to prove that our league is the best, we just need to get by with what we have and make the best out of it, not the other way around.

1) Discipline among alumni and students.
2) Baguhin ang rules regarding the players who joined the PBL.
Joining the said league will not only benefit the player but the league as well .

Actually, sa tv coverage lang nagkakatalo. Yeah, they need sponsors for that.
Pero the difference between the two is that one gets good airtime, while the other gets dead air...

Yup there is such a thing as a corrupt board members who's only concern are them an their team, try mo kaya umattend ng ,eeting nila and you will see...............
And also last year ang UAAP may party pa sa may glorietta tayo? ano? wala, kahit man lang sana maganda yung opening ceremonies last year eh.

Experienced that during the opening. Four games of similar drumbeats. Almost all had schools have variations of the "Go *school*! Go go *school*" cheer.
If not that, the "Ooooh... Arriba/Animo *school*" cheer.
"Derecho La Salle" became "Arriba Letran"
Wala na bang iba?

to tell u honestly .... i hope walang magagalit...
ncaa is very very far in terms of quality ...
while i must admit ncaa juniors is better than uaap ...
i think support ng schools talaga
saka yung attitude of players
pansin ko ....rugged ang laro sa ncaa
sa uaap medyo glamour dating ( i hope i can be proven wrong)
saka parang may system sa uaap dito wala
ewan
maybe officials talaga may prob

making the NCAA at par with the UAAP is most definitely a tall order . . . TV exposure is a big step . . . support from advertizers will help a lot - maybe the UAAP can give you some since some of us feel that the UAAP is too commericalized - heheheh:D . . . dont get insulted nor mad with this (peace tayo !!!) - as long as Ateneo, La Salle, UP and UST are in the UAAP, the NCAA will have a very hard time catching up with the UAAP . . . they give the UAAP a whole bunch of glamor, prestige and class . . . well you have St. Benilde and San Beda naman to put glamor and prestige to the league !!! . . . PEACE !!!

NCAA is slowly getting there. They're getting equal media attention with the UAAP. Good thing Chalk Magazine came up with a special back-to-back issue of the UAAP and NCAA. Sana they also come up with an NCAA Cheering Competition. Yung crowd..please lang. Behave! And come up with original cheers. Puro panggagaya lahat, except for San Beda.

Air games on weekends. Kung okay sa Studio 23, isang UAAP game, back to back with 1 NCAA game on Saturday and Sundays.

eto lang ang suggestion ko, kase eto ang napapansin ko, sa uaap, wlang sumisigaw na jologs or skwater or bobo to the other team, sa NCAA meron. katulad nung opening, while the MC is calling other school, these stupid drummers of the schools keep on banging their drum as if wala ng bukas. in short, mas sibilisado ang mga tao sa UAAP, but im not saying na *** mga NCAA hindi, kase ang school ko ay nasa NCAA.
eto pa, pre-party, bakit ang UAAP sa eastwood, NCAA sa Beda. luging-lugi, sa bagya mas pabor ang studio 23 sa Uaap kase mas marami ang supporters and mas marami ang makukuhang sponsors not like NCAA.

as long as the jologs and the basaguleros are still in the ncaa, it will never be at par with the uaap. sorry.
