Help!.. UCLA or UC Irvine?

Hey, this week I find out whether I'll be making it into any of the 4 UC campuses I applied for (UCI, UCSD, UCLA, and UCSB), however, UCLA and UCI are my top choices. Problem: which one should I pick? As far as distance is concerned, UCI is no big problem coz' I live in Orange County. UCLA is a bit far (dormin' is no big problem though).

I would go to UCLA for the name, but UCI has my major. I heard that it has a good Business program. Now, I'm caught in the middle! Please help me with this and post some of your suggestions. Thanks again!

P.S. UCSD is alright, and I know I'll make it in there already. The only problem I'd have would be traveling more than 100 miles away from home every week to visit parents and friends...so I'm ditchin UCSD!! hehe

you're in ca..and everything here goes at least

i too grew up in orange..orange curtain..
why do you think they call it that?..it's way too
conservative for my taste..
forget ucsd..unless partying and getting laid's your
major..and that's how people will generalize you..
the stoner / player..party dude..
uci's cool...but bland..once again..orange curtain..
and do you really want to be known as an ant-eater?

look at the bigger picture..so what if you live far
from your folks...believe me..you might find it's
not such a bad thing..
personally...i'd go for ucla..
have you visited westwood?..hello..what can one say..
the cultural diversity can't be beat..you'll have world
class recognition...a great rivalry with usc, stanford and cal..
and it seems to be perfectly situated as far as la's geography
goes....
my second choice would be santa barbara..
it's absolutely beautiful..it's also far away enough..but yet
not that far from la..but the problem up there is..
if there's nothing going on in campus..there's NOTHING
going on anywhere..
so..unless you live in a shell ( which i doubt ) ..become
a bruin..
