what happened to the old csb pep?

what happened to the csb pep of yesterday? where's the unity of the old csb pep? it seems like only the boys are united nowadays, i'm sure the girls are divided. i'm also sure eric (president) did all he could, he was just to nice, he shared power too much and didn't lay down the hard hand. eric pare, bilib ako sayo, you didn't have my vote at first but now all out support ako sayo! payo lang, don't be too nice. i just hope na mabalik yung dating pep. sayang kasi yung pinaghirapan namin to make the pep united just to see it go to waste because of a few people. to those people breaking the pep apart, sana mahiya naman kayo sa mga tao who worked so hard to unite the pep para lang sirain nyo yung pep. in the first place they were the ones behind you people being in the squad. hopefully wala nang siraan sa squad. i just hope people set behind their personal intentions(para kay bangky lang ang personal intentions) for the betterment of the squad. i believe this is the first year na di tumatambay ang new girls sa cubicle, what happened? in previous years naman tambay kagad mga bago, i don't see that problem with the boys. sana lang wag nyo sayangin yung pinaghirapan ng mga tao starting from time ni roy and ni franco, sayang e. kami naghirap para kayo sumira. it's a bit unfair, kung gusto nyo gawa kayo sarili nyong org yun ang sirain nyo.

i Agree, sayang talaga, nakakapag hinayang pakinggan na ang pep ngayon hindi na united, parang nawala lang kaming mga luma all of a sudden hindi na namentain ang pagiging family as a squad and naging worst pa..... kaya eric do what you gotta do!

I have to agree with pepperkayo, but the reason why they are like that is maybe they are shy or they don't feel welcome pa masyado. But para sa mga new members, you shouldn't feel shy or whatsoever to the old ones. you guys should feel relax and at home with the seniors of the squad, all of us naman when we were new also had to learn how to mingle with the seniors during our time...so there is no reason for you guys to hesitate to hang out with the older members, Coz we are family!!!:beam:

I’m glad that I experienced the fun that the pep squad had. It was because of the squad that I enjoyed my college days. It was the parties, the gimmicks, and the people altogether that made my stay in college worthwhile.
But, what happened to the squad? Why have all these people turned out this way? Some people brought their insecurities and grudges into the squad, which they should never have done. (I choose not to elaborate...) It is just sad how certain people manage to break the squad apart, therefore ruining the unity. The positions of certain people have gone to their heads. The camaraderie of the squad started to dwindle when these people were elected to their positions.
To the existing CSB Pep members, you all were once frosh and new members of the squad. I advise you guys to humble yourselves and be more open in welcoming the new members, make them a part of the squad, besides, your all not going to be there for the rest of your lives, and one day, these people are the ones who are going to take your place and continue on improving the team. Teach them to love the squad, as you all have learned to.
I’m just glad that old members are still working on the squad. They all have their own jobs and lives, but still make it their business to mend what other people have ruined.
To the president, Eric, you are doing GREAT JOB! I truly hope, in fact, I know, the squad will surpass this trial

ang csb pep cubicle ay debate room---- ilang beses na rin may nagmurahan, nagsigawan dyan.

ang csb pep cubicle ay stock room, warehouse o attic---- tignan nyo ang mga takatambak dyan. sari sari! wala kang ballpen o papel. pumitik ka lang dyan. meron din reusable projects, etc.

ang csb pep cubicle ay bedroom o sleeping room----tignan nyo, kahit anong pagbabawal sa kanila matulog. laging may natutulog pa rin.

ang csb pep cubicle ay study room o library---- dito muna dumadaan upang mangopya ng assignment o project bago pumasok sa klase.

ang csb pep cubicle ay dining hall, mess hall o canteen--- laging maraming kumakain. kaya laging may basura.

Hay naku Dream Cast, tama ka dun.:) Based on your descriptions about the pep cubicle... kahit anu mang mga bagay ang ginagawa dito, mag away man or magkulitan, kumain, matulog, study or copy hwks. . . there will always be fun inside this cubicle. Coz simple people make tambay here, you make call it mababaw but that is how it has been. Everyone has thier share of grudges and laughters with each other. . .but in the end I know maaayos din ang gulong to. Sana . . . coz wala lang kawawa naman ang susunod na batch na papasok sa squad. The pep squad is suppose to be fun, di ba? :( parang nawawala na ang camaraderie ng ibang tao kc. sana they settle all their problems, coz hindi na to nakakabuti sa squad. Its sad to think that the once in the lives in the pep squad members, lahat sobrang close tapos ngayon nagkakawatak-watak na. Someone texted me the other night saying "I'm counting on you for the improvement of the squad." but I forgot to tell that person that its not suppose to be "I'm counting on you" but rather . . ."I'm counting you in for the improvement of the PEP Squad", right sofia g9?:) For me, there are no rotten whatsoever's in the squad, its just the most difficult challenge that the officers and the members should face, maybe because it would help the other people in the squad realize what unity really is about, I may not be a perfect person but I try to make up for my mistakes. After all the arguments and the labasan ng sama ng loob, now is the time for healing. Kung nalampasan natin ang mga old problems ng pep, we can survive this one too.:*)

Ngayon siguro wala na gaanong nagsasabunutan o nag-aaway. Dati marami nyan! anyway, ang inilahad ko tungkol sa csb pep squad cubicle mula noon hanggang ngayon. since time and memorial kumbaga. mula ng nag-assign ng cubicle ang school sa pep squad!

Anyway, the csb pep squad is a strong and determined organization with a coloful history. Through the year it has its own fair share of ups and down. Members have shared laughter, happiness, pain, sorrow as well as grief. There are numerous arguments, debates and misunderstanding. Members were removed from the roster. Officers stepped down or forcefully dethroned. But in the end, the members and officers of the csb pep squad should unite in order to fulfill the organization's missions. Just like what the previous members and officers did in the past.

Why not find the root of the problem....di kaya da boys din ang may kasalanan kung bakit hindi na united ang mga girls? O baka naman mataas ang fride ng mga gels?

I believe the opportunity is given to all....why not talk it out first? Better yet, get a third person to fix your problem...

pasalamat nga kayong mga Pep ngayon....you didn't encounter the bull$hit we got during our time...(before Roy, Kiko and Madam Rose :-)

Not only did we not have admin support, but we were bullied by our fellow Benildeans (na tinanggal sa kabila) and the Pep from the other side.

- We did not have ROTC exemption.

- We had to practice outside for competitions and performances.

- We paid for our own uniforms.

- We had to fix the drums ourselves.

- We did not get excused for performing in competitions.

- Etc., etc.

But we were happy. And we performed well. Maybe not as good as you guys now but we performed well.

Kayo pampered. Do you know how lucky you guys and girls are?

I was with the CSB Pep from its original recognized inception at DLSU-CSB in 199x. Magulo noon. Walang nagtuturo sa amin. We had different teachers, from old DLSU-main squad people to professional dance instructors to whomever.

There were some who left dahil napagod na lang...but there were some who stayed...and shined...they were not perfect, but they tried their best to make things work.

To name some notable peppers:

- si Alex, Joy, Maricel and the others (forgot their names...they were the first to "try" to establish a CSB Pep Squad in 89 (or was it 91), but failed until they tried again in 94 and succeeded)

- then sina James, Jobas, Achas, Mike Montero, Rufus, Jon d'Mangga, Binoy, Tess, Janelle, Mellou, Eric and the others....(batchmates ko...sige na nga...almost ka-batch mates ko :-)

- then sina Rose, Roy, Kiko

Ako...ordinary pep lang ako non...taga dala lang ng drums...di ako marunong masyado magcheer eh....di kasi kasya yung uniform sa akin eh...liit ko daw....ehehe... :-)

Point is...all of you are the 7th generation of the CSB Pep Squad. It has come a long way since then. But I guess, its no different. You should be proud of who you are and what you've accomplished.

Isipin niyo na lang na ang Pep Squad ay simbolo ng CSB. You represent the school and whatever it stands for.

What you do reflects what the school is.

I believe there is a reason for everything...the girls cannot live without the boys and the boys cannot live without the girls....tampong kulangot lang yan....wag i-personal.

You work for the same goals....to uplift the name of CSB, always put that in mind.

Btw, may utang pa sa akin ang Pep ha...yang three-peat ninyo sa taong taong pagpapanalo sa Ar-Eks....hoy hindi na ako naambunan ng biyayang 20,000 kada panalo... :-) Its ok...I love the CSB Pep... :-)

Hindi lang ako naka-perform kahit isang beses dahil bias daw....pero naknampucha...i wish i was able to. :-)

Anyway, gusto ko lang magshare....one of this days...when I have the time...dadaan ako sa practice ninyo.... :-).....tingnan natin kung kaya niyong talunin yung Rektikano 10 times namin nila Rufus! :-)
