Family Feud
One Million Dollar Chance of A Lifetime
Jeopardy
Name That Tune
Child's Play
Press Your Luck (still remember this one? "No Wammies, no Wammies!")
Price Is Right
Does anyone remember the title of this game show where the object of the game was to guess a word by giving clues related to that word? For example, if the word was "dog," the contestant would say "shih tzu, bulldog, poodle, rottweiler, st. bernard..." Arrrgh, can't remember what that show was called.
My fave local game shows would have to be Battle of The Brains (is this considered a game show?) and Go For It.

guys, wala pa bang who wants to be a millionaire dyan sa flipns? this trivia game show is really exciting. you can actually play online - http://abc.go.com/primetime/millionaire/mill_home.html or try playing jeopardy online - www.jeopardy.com (http://www.jeopardy.com) - it's very interactive, real time pitting of wits with people around the world.

When still a kid I enjoyed the Price is Right. Remember the ultra-talented models showing the showcases. Seems very laughably tacky now.
Family Feud is fantastic only the host keeps on kissing all the female contestants.
Press Your Luck is fun at first, but I got bored at it after a while.
The $25,000 Pyramid is good.
Name That Tune is okay.
One Million Chance of a Lifetime. Y'know where contestants guess letters and then the word or phrase. It's like Wheel of Fortune, but snappier and craftier.
Of course, Jeopardy is tops.

have any of you ever seen the newlywed game? they get newly married couples to compare notes.. its hilarious! couples arguing over the color of toothbrushes, over dates of anniversaries... but if you think about it, these are real issues that we actually do get into silly fights over!

Who Wants to be a Millionare? is back, now on its second season!!! WOOOO HOOOO!!! Getting more exciting each night. Too bad, the contestant who almost got USD250,000 last night went home with just USD32,000 because he failed to answer the "what is the capital of Australia?" question. Bad bad audience who was supposed to help him answer, they answered Sydney instead of Canberra. Silly guy, of all the questions.
There is another game show, this time on CBS, it's called Winning Lines hosted by **** Clark. The episode last week (played every Saturday) made me dizzy because of the format of the show. All trivia questions are answered via numbers. There are times you have to compute and know the number of band members of, let's say, Backstreet Boys. For example: If the members of Boyzone join Backstreet Boys, how many guys are there now kinda question. The jackpot part is funny and confusing because you have to find the answers hidden in the cobweb of numbers and shout the respective number where the answer is, geez. This one is the dizzying part because the screen where the answers are, moves left and right, so you look like a tennis spectator. Funny and Bonamine-ic. Oh well, lol.
Oh and the classic Twenty-One is back too. Remember that Geritol game show in the movie Quiz Show? They revived that. It's telecast on NBC. Saw the pilot episode the other day and I have to say that this game show, too, is very exciting.
Trivia quiz shows are back. But still, nothing beats Who Wants to be a Millionare? because of the excellent format and high-tech features. I also love the theme and the nerve-wrecking background music. And of course, I love Jeopardy too!

Naunahan mo ako Madapaka! It's a real classic! I love it when Ultraman makes a cameo appearance!
BTW, did you know that Takeshi is an accomplished actor/director aside from being a fulltime wacko? Check out his movies Sonatine, Gonin and Fireworks. If you have difficulties finding these flicks, check him out in Johnny Mnemonic.

i love jeopardy, since i could answer most of the questions there. i am, after all, the master of useless trivia.
the newlywed game is fun to watch, especially how they get the couples to answer some embarrassingly intimate questions. i wonder how it would be like to have a filipino version of it. think, "ano ang posisyon nyo ni mister nung unang gabi ng pagtatalik?"
