Looks like Eddie Jones was preferred over Ray Allen in last week's matchup.

This week, what do you guys think of two of the straight from High School players who are also similar in their game... Jermaine O'Neal and Tracy McGrady.

Peace.

Might be unfair to compare the two, because they come from two totally different situations. Jermaine will never shine as long as he's with Portland. With all the talented ballers in his team, he will never get enough playing time to fully reach his potential. McGrady on the other hand, is a vital part of the mediocre Raptors, meaning minutes, minutes, and more minutes.

right now, it's hands down T. mcGrady simply because O'neal is just at best the 9th man on his team. If only Jermaine be given more playing time, it would have been harder to know who is better. Both of these players are young and i guess they have the potentials to be still in the league 10 yrs from now. If we base solely on stats well...... MCgrady is better.

You can't say that the only reason O'Neal hasn't shined in the NBa is because he's on the Blazers. If he was really all that talented, he'd be a starter already! He's overhyped from high school. He's probably the worst of the players who skipped college for the NBA. He's been inconsistent in blocking shots, rebounding, scoring, and defending. so what's he good for? Mcgrady may have also rushed his jump to the NBA but his athleticism is clear. He can driblle the ball, run the break, shoot from the inside and outside, and has some decent defense. The Bulls supposedly coveted Tracy during the off-season but Toronto refused to deal him away. o'Neal on the other hand has been in Portland trade rumors since last year. Goes to show how each team values each player.

The cousin of Vince Carter???
No contest!!
I think Mcgrady has the edge on O'neal.
Because he has the speed and the all around ability.

Check out who McGrady needs to beat out in Toronto to get playing time in the small forward spot...
Vince Carter
Sean Marks (who?)
John Thomas (who?)

..not a lot of comp there. So okay, he also plays SG, well Doug Christie and Dell Curry aren't that impressive either... atleast not enough to take away McGrady's PT.

Now check out who O'Neal (whom btw plays PF and C)needs to outdo in practice..
Rasheed Wallace
Brian Grant
Arvydas Sabonis
Antonio Harvey
Joe Kleine (i know he doesn't count, but he's still a legit center)

..i've mentioned atleast three allstar caliber players on that roster.

Put O'Neal in a bad team where he gets to start and watch out!
