Anyways i'll go direct to the point. I hope you guys are practicing ang thinking how to make CSB the number one in cheering sa NCAA. I'll be honest but i see big improvements sa lahat ng mga teams sa NCAA. They get the opportunity to have better routines sa kanilang cheering dahil dumami kahit papaano ang allowed na sumayaw. I like cheering a lot kaya concern ako sa CSB Pep! kaya i hope all of you will do something from it. Especially the threat which is MAPUA. alam nyo naman yung mga stunts na kaya nila which i think hindi pa kayang gawin ng benilde.

We'll goodluck nalang! Just go with the flow. DOnt stick too much sa traditionals. Just what is happening sa UAAP. sorry for mentioning that. If you guys want to be the #1 then aim for it.

You're more than welcome to post here and share your thoughts on what the squad can do to achieve more. 20 na ang allowed na performers para sa CSB. Sadly the drums would have to be reduced to 5 bass but we can bring all the snare drums we could find. ;)

The squad just can't go with the flow, simply because they are traditional by origin. Except for the boys and lifters who usually do the traditional cheers, the girls dance steps are far more snappy and graceful compared to the other squads and they do change their routines every year. The stunts are relatively challenging, but it is insignificant since there is no cheering competition in the NCAA, they would like to avoid mishaps and unnecessary stunts that would merit a trip to the physician. Nevertheless, I will tell them what you posted here and I will do my best to keep you informed about their progress. Thanks! :D

Btw, you should congratulate the Blazers for walloping the Bombers. At hindi lang kami ang huling pag-asa sa NCAA. Think of the other sports too. :smokin:

Thnx for the reply. Yeah i know that yo need to stick sa traditionaks as what DLSU Manila is also doing kasi obvious naman sa mga performance nila sa UAAP cheering comp.

Im just wondering baka you can perform naman with hard choreography kahit traditionals pa rin. As long as all of you practice well sa mga liftings wala naman sigurong madidisgrasya. If other teams can do it, malamang kayo din. They are not afraid kasi of the risk of doing hard stunts kaya obvious na malaki improvements ng ibang teams.

Suggestion ko po, y dont you use some props naman kapag nagpeperform to make it different. And since you use pom poms eh bakit ayaw nyong bumili ng imported pom poms. Before i thought you will use imported pom poms (as what i heard sa isang cheer dancer) not to mention the name. Nadelay lang daw yung pag order. Hanggang ngayon wala pa rin yung order?

If you are a frequent spectator in the games, you would notice that what they perform may look like easy tasks but they're not. A lot of the effort is done in liftings that require focus especially since the boys always seem to lose voice projection, so they compensate it by the never changing choreography and at the same time supporting the girls through the stunts and liftings. We do have our share of accidents in many different events but the floors were padded. Imagine it happening in the old RMC. :(

Second, the girls can do hard choreography, they consider performing in halftimes as gauges in polishing their routines for the more serious cases, namely cheering competitions beyond the NCAA. Obvious na malaki talaga inimprove ng teams, because they know that ours was the first to introduce routines that pattern after sister school Lasalle and its what they use in the UAAP. So they created/pirated/copied/ patterns of other cheering squads and improved on the craft, its a healthy competition minus the trophies and ice cream. But the Green Peppers will improve just like everyone else. Change is a constant thing in cheerleading and cheerdancing. You can be assured that they are seeking new ways to liven up the animo spirit. And soon enough, everyone's gonna catch up with what's new. ;)

I was also wondering what happened to those imported pom-poms. But I think we can blame that on budget problems, if not eh baka naudlot lang sa pagkuha talaga dahil iba na ang set of officers for this schoolyear and that plan might have been shelved in order to accomodate more pressing concerns. The uniforms are the first priority kasi. Their present set of pom-poms are ok naman. Maybe we could use the old cardboard sign with big letters when cheering in the stands. Bleacher cheering is one of my main concerns so I'll do what I can to tell them about your suggestions as I shall suggest my own pov. In the meantime, may I suggest that we meet in person and judge their halftime show for ourselves, on how the present squad can improve on their performances. Do grace us with your presence, so that not only I but the whole squad can participate in our discussions.

I already ask someone about you since when i start posting here sa pex with my previous nick, you're already here. Hindi ka kasi nawawala kapag schools bashings. You are one of those people that i can really say a true Benildean because you know how to defend our school. I'm connected with several organizations kaya proud Benildean din ako.

Anyways back to the topic. As much as i want to watch the games of Benilde kaso hindi ko kaya since im already working. If theres really a vacant time for me then i just watch the games sa t.v.. Madalas kasi ako nanonood ng cheering because of my sisters. How i wish the green peppers are also like the the ones i watch sa ESPN cheerleading. Kasi kung ganun siguro ang routines nyo, definitely the UAAP schools will look up at you. CSB is good sa cheer dancing but honestly, you guys really need to improve a lot when it comes to stunts. And make sure that unique ang mga moves. Basta dont be contented na dapat mas magaling kayo sa mga cheering squads sa NCAA. Be sure also that you guys are better than the squads of UAAP. Sa kanila kasi mapapansin mo na yung similarities. I dont know how you can be different. Maybe if i'll have an idea then i will suggest it here.

Sayang hindi ka pala pwede manuod live. Kahit ako kuntento nako sa tv namin dahil nakakawalang-gana manuod nung first round. With regards to the cheerdance and routines, I think its safe to say na pinag-aaralan pa rin nila lahat ng pwedeng pag-aralan na stunts. And they are definitely improving as the years go by. Dati kasi walang lifters na magaling sa routines pero ngayon dumadami sila, pangalawa eh ang kalidad ng cheerleaders na babae na natatanggap at active eh nag-iiba kada taon so they have to sustain the momentum of teaching, creating more unique styles, and passing it on to the next generation. And I don't think that their skills will not go beyond the levels of the UAAP or maybe the US NCAA, they will surely surpass them in time. It's a developing craft pa rin. :D
