I just want to know what do you think about this poem, kahit ano pwede basta yung truth tsaka *** talagang tingin nyo J
Lover’s sight (in love)
Shall I see thee amid the sky?
Where no light trods and yet stars shine
And all depths of a naked eye
See every dazzle of what is thine
Breeze caresses my lips and hair
Trees are gems, dancing to breeze’s song
They tease me to kiss my maiden fair
Blowing my soul… far along
Thy face still gleams as emeralds do
Those eyes speak of eternal delight
Thou look at me with rare colors and hue
Thine eyes reflect on moonlit bright
Make no haste, pray, time in sorrow
The stars have found where I belong
I shall not leave nor seek tomorrow
My being will stay, the night’s still young…

Pahabol lng…. Isa pa
Old flame (lost love)
Under lavender skies, our eyes looked their first
With melodies of nature and angels rehears’d
Songs purposed to charm us, I found what those eyes mean
Far the most expressive eyes I have ever seen
In that moment thy beauty enamored the grounds
Of my soul, my devotion for thee knows no bounds
By a rose, beneath stars and in splendid scenery
At last your heart vowed to love and be loved by me
“This is forever, let our forever be real,
and if forever’s over, I shall love thee still”
‘Til before thee departed we mournfully clasp’d
and kissed the sweet saddest… we know was our last
I began walking but a grave calling came near
Overlooked, I saw thee weep every tear
Dropping from thine dashing eyes, from first to last cry
“Forever’s over now, beloved, let this be goodbye.”
Remember the last teardrop I saved for thee
And the final teardrop you shed for me
‘Coz my old flame shall last, til my love shall forget
the dwelling of paradise where the two of us met.

With all due respect, I will give this thread a new title since the current title (some love poems) is misleading for the purpose you wish to attain.
thank you

Hi, xtx! I wonder, were these two love poems written by the same author. They seem to have the same style and theme. The author is talking of a love that goes beyond the grave, that the love of the two will go on in paradise and that they met each other in paradise before they were even born. (Soul mates). Looks like one of them died.
I'll try to analyze the first poem.
Old flame (lost love)
Under lavender skies, our eyes looked their first
With melodies of nature and angels rehears’d
Songs purposed to charm us, I found what those eyes mean
Far the most expressive eyes I have ever seen
Obviously na-tantalize yung author sa mata ng love niya. Love the way they looked at each other.
In that moment thy beauty enamored the grounds
Of my soul, my devotion for thee knows no bounds
By a rose, beneath stars and in splendid scenery
At last your heart vowed to love and be loved by me
this part is like the courtship and commitment phase of the poem.
“This is forever, let our forever be real,
and if forever’s over, I shall love thee still”
‘Til before thee departed we mournfully clasp’d
and kissed the sweet saddest… we know was our last
Looks like the girl's gravely ill, and there is a vow of love that cannot be destroyed by death even though the body can die.
I began walking but a grave calling came near
Overlooked, I saw thee weep every tear
Dropping from thine dashing eyes, from first to last cry
“Forever’s over now, beloved, let this be goodbye.”
This is after the girl's death. Guy comes walking to her grave and remembers her last tear and last words when she was dying. She thinks their love is over and thus bids goodbye.
Remember the last teardrop I saved for thee
And the final teardrop you shed for me
‘Coz my old flame shall last, til my love shall forget
the dwelling of paradise where the two of us met.
Although he says 'til my love shall forget, we know that he will NEVER forget her and will never stop loving her. :bawling:
Parang combination ng CTHD, LOTR at Moulin Rouge ang poem na ito ah...

Whoops! I analyzed the second poem first pala. Okay, lemme try this first poem then.
Lover’s sight (in love)
Shall I see thee amid the sky?
Where no light trods and yet stars shine
And all depths of a naked eye
See every dazzle of what is thine
Breeze caresses my lips and hair
Trees are gems, dancing to breeze’s song
They tease me to kiss my maiden fair
Blowing my soul… far along
Thy face still gleams as emeralds do
Those eyes speak of eternal delight
Thou look at me with rare colors and hue
Thine eyes reflect on moonlit bright
Make no haste, pray, time in sorrow
The stars have found where I belong
I shall not leave nor seek tomorrow
My being will stay, the night’s still young…
Sounds like a medieval poem and somehow it makes me think the guy is already dead and is present in spirit, and it's like he's drifting with the wind (blowing my soul...far along) It's like the girl is looking up in the night sky, looking for him (look at me with rare colors and hue, eyes reflecting on moonlit bright) and he is looking down at her. He has not gone straight up to heaven yet, and wants to linger with the gal. I like the last line of the poem.
