Thanx for posting! ;)
Ako before, Pond's but since i have really oily skin and i was getting bored with it na, i mean, it wasn't that effective for oily skin e, i switched to L'Oreal's pure matte extra matifying facial foam for oily to very oily skin kahit a bit expensive, (110 bucks for 50ml), i was willing to risk it and wow, i'm impressed, effective talaga siya!! :D
btw, sa mga gumagamit ng St. Ive's Apricot scrub, ilang times a week siya dapat gamitin? kasi a friend of mine--she used it everyday for a week and her face totally dried up!! nag-bak-bak daw? whatever that means. :) i think it shouldn't really be used everyday?

I used to use Christian Dior's 3 step Purifying range for normal to oily skin (foaming creme cleanser, toner and matte star oil free moisturiser). But their new IOD range is brilliant so I'm using the foaming cleanser, toning spray and gel moisturiser. Their exfoliating disc is good too.

Actually, I never seen other facial wash as soothing as Apricot Scrub. So what I usually do na lang is to put in moisturizer on my face after every wash to keep the balance of oils in my face. ;)

TheDreamer in your case I highly recommend Angels on Bare Skin from Lush. It's got ground almond to gently exfoliate and lavender oil to even out oil production (like in your case, combination skin). Since I started using it, my skin always feels like a baby's bum and the shine has lessened on my T-zone.

hi farfalla, sorry ngayon ko lang nakita to!
Anyway Angels on Bareskin is great for combination skin -- yung oily in some parts, dry or normal on others. The lavender oil helps balance oil production. A lot of people think they are oily when they are actually combination so you might wanna consider this.
But if you find you really are oily, Lush makes a similar product called Sushi something. Basically it's the same thing as Angels pero yung formulation niya is for oily skin.
And I don't know how much they are selling the stuff for there but I find their prices to be reasonable considering they are sold by weight. When I first tried Angels the sales person just sliced a small portion for me, only about a couple of dollars' worth, so I'm assuming you can do the same thing over there.

I used to like Clearasil Facial Foam Wash, nagpapabili pa ako sa States for that. But when i discovered Cetaphil, nagbago na ako (yikes, parang commercial ng detergent!! LOL). That's what Dermclinic pala is using, ang mahal mahal pa nung pinapabili nila sa aking liquid facial wash nila eh Cetaphil pala yun. Nagulat nga ako kasi I even read that Cameron Diaz uses Cetaphil, and claims that it's her secret product (na di na secret ngayon).

I used to use Clinique pero mahal so I am using Mary Kay's skin care products right now.

Shempre you have to follow Cetaphil with toner to get rid of stubborn dirt. Cetaphil kasi was the one recommended by my dermatologist, but they wanted me to buy their own brand, which is more pricey. Cetaphil lang pala yun.

well im using the most basic -- apricot scrub.
the thing is, i tried this "unknown" brand that some girl lent me on my trip to subic last tym. its like apricot ecrub, same color and texture -- only with a cooling effect (menthol ata) . i asked for the brand, pero nde din daw nya alam. i think its local ****, kaya lang *** **** ako mahanap sa malls etc. its in a clear squeezable tube, pati *** cap clear din.
pls help me figure it out ... anyone? tnx a lot

My beauty tip:
Daily
Biore soft cleanser with beta hydoroxy
Biore Toner
Biore Moisturizer
Vitamin E Oil ( leave on daily for at least two hours or to sleep )
Weekend
Facial Scrub ( which I forgo most of the time)
I exposed my face to hot water for 10 minutes, so to sweat, release the toxic
Massage my face
Use a facial mask, ( I use a small amount of yeast and water) for 15 minutes.
I like my skin right now.
Just remember, there is no short cut to beauty. The more you work hard, the better the result, try not to buy too much cosmetics for your face especially from TV Ads. Remember, all they want to do is pay their bills, but your face should not suffer.
Take caution.

Probably MANDOM COOL from Japan. There's some in Mercury Drug and Rustan's, though I think apricot scrub and Biore are better (the mint stuff is a bit harsh if you use it a lot everyday, like I used to in grade school.) They discontinued it for a while and came back ;) Though I don't like facial scrubs other than biweekly, you could get scars from them daw if you didn't notice that you had a blemish and used the scrub...I like the other one from Mandom instead, think it's Mandom Foam, not cool :)

Theres a great Men's facewash I use which I discovered in my travels in Japan. It's called CELDIE made by PoLa Daily Cosme. Its this neat gel that's got a menthol effect on the face. After rinsing with water it feels so clean and sensational. A tube (which costs US$5) will last you a good 5-6 months!

Orthotrycyclen works but it also keeps you from getting pregnant so double purpose sya :glee:
Personally i use cetaphil because it isn't drying and you get that squeaky clean feeling when you rub your cheeks. I also use lactacyd, the blue one. It's got lactic acid, a good alpha hydroxy acid to slough off dead skin cells and keep your skin smooth and fresh. I find Neutrogena moisturizers the best kasi its light, has SPF and it doesn't streak like other brands. *okay*

Neutrogena Facial bar for acne prone skin. I've been using this stuff for almost ten years (since high school). I've tried other products but i always tend to break out after a few washes. This one is tried and tested. It leaves no filmy residue but is also non-drying. Perfect to prep your skin for your favorite moisturizer.

It also left a flaky residue around my mouth/chin region. Lactacyd is good as a body wash though. I like taking it with me when I travel around coz its easy to pack and you dont have to leave it to dry like you would with soap bars before packing away.

cetaphil is for sensitive skin. if all facial soap fails, try cetaphil. but then, dove is a nice facial wash. it's good for dry skin. coz it put back moisture. right now, i'm using shu uemura. i thik i'm sticking with it. it gives enough moisture on my face. not too much to make my face oily, and not less to make me feel and look dry.
in regards to facial scrubs, scrubs should only be used once a week. be gentle on using this as it can hurt your skin. if your face gets too dry on scrubs, try using cetaphil or dove

I use Cetaphil as a facial wash. You'd really feel your face was cleansed and smoothened. ;)

i have oily skin and have a tendency to breakout if i use just one prod. longterm so i alternate w/ prods like:
neutrogena soap for acne-prone skin w/ nivea toner (when i remember to use it) and nivea moisturizer once to twice a week
finishing my nivea facial wash& scrub on days i feel like im not too oily...then off to a new brand (i see celeteque is getting good reviews... angel aquino's F is promoting this i think)
st. ives medicated apricot scrub once to twice a week
gonna have my very first facial by next week coz i cant stand these breakouts anymore! wish me luck... although it's dying down. think its coz of my insomnia, which is coming back w/ a vengeance

I use Kiehl's Oatmeal face wash, or sometimes I use the Pineapple/Papaya scrub like once a week, then I also have the mask.

St. Ives Medicated Menthol Apricot Scrub every 2 days.
i use neutrogena deep cleansing facial wash.. i dunno what's the difference though with the oil-free acne facial wash.. they look and smell alike.. pero the neutrogena deep cleansing facial wash has a newer packaging..
super effective.. i don't have acne..nor do i have really bad skin.. pero this does the trick for me.. i have clear skin all the time!
i use st. ive's apricot scrub once in a while.. but not lagi..
