are you bold enough to wear tube tops without cardigans or with cardigans?

I wear clothes that are in good taste yet comfortable that can last until morning without looking like shie.t. With gimmicks, you'll never know for sure what happens. You can start in a pricey bar in Makati to having hotdogs in a 7-11 at 5 in the morning somewhere, you'd never really know. ;)

i wear tube tops sans cardigans to go THE MALL. i dont consider it a big deal - tube tops are tank tops WITHOUT straps.

well, back to the topic - it really depends on where im going and whom im going with. some people might find me too dressed-up or too fashion forward. mind you, being gawked at just because you dress differently is NOT the most comfortable feeling.

anyway, i usually wear lacy/glam tops, low rider dark/vintage denim jeans and strappy heels/mules. for accessories, i usually carry a red clutch and wear diamond or pearl studs (although ive been wearing "long" earrings lately). if my outfit is monochromatic (ex: black lacy top, black pants) i wear so,ething that would stand out...like a red wrist cuff or a pair of cranberry red strappy heels. again, it depends on where im going, the kind of people im going with and my mood.

my boldest was the backless, animal-printed, haltered top i wore during one of our gimiks while in the US. i can't imagine wearing it here in PI because i think people here are too conservative to appreciate it.

My first rule is that I should always be comfortable with what I wear. This does not necessarily apply to shoes since I'm partial to stilletos :glee: My outfits basically reflect my personal style. I also make it a point to try to be distinct. If every woman in the room is wearing a tube top, trust me to wear something different. I follow trends but that doesn't mean I incorporate everything into my wardrobe. I know what looks good on me and what doesn't. Fashion in Manila is a tad boring if I may be honest. I hope women here become more open to diverse styles.

i say, wear it if you'd like to. you don't need their appreciation or their approval for you to wear it and it's not like you're breaking the law anyway.

Here, here!

I think as long as you're confident with how you look, it doesn't matter what other people think.

depends on my mood, but most often than not...a glam top(most often than not, it's in black or white or beige/camel) with my favorite lowriders and stilettos. winter time, i take out the leather pants and leather skirt. fancy hats, too. and glam glam make up(thanks, kevyn aucoin for writing great step by step books). i honestly get more glammed up when i'm in manila, weird actually. i actually go out of my way to blow dry my hair(i'm very impatient with my hair) i also wear nice skirts and stuff and real jewelry(albeit, on the more ostantaneous diamond bracelets and necklace).

but u have to admit, manila gals can get very "uniform" with what they wear. tube tops/tank tops with knee length skirt..when i was there recently, ruffled/slit sleeved tops and jeans/black pants..oh yah, that off shoulder see through shawl thing from rhett eala was all over the damn place, too. add that damn flower corsage which is so THREE YEARS AGO.

OF COURSE. TUBE TOPS DON'T TAKE ALL THAT MUCH GUTS- YOU ONLY BARE YOUR SHOULDERS ANYWAY!

BUT WHATEVER I'M WEARING- SIMPLE, SLEEVELESS OR TUBE TOPS OR BACKLESS PIECES- I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, HAVE A NICE, JACKET. THINK "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER". THINK ISABEL OF "ROSWELL". THINK "CHARMED."

AS KITTY2BABE SAID- YOU NEVER KNOW IF YOURE GONNA END UP AT A 7-11 SO YOU BETTER NOT BE WEARING NEXT TO NOTHING. :)

Right now, what's hanging in my gimmick closet are halter tops, miniskirts (with hot pants underneath), dark jeans, tops that bare my midriff, and a good pair of black bootleg pants.

My most daring ensemble would be this glam top that bared my midriff and back. It was one of those tops that had strings in the back that criss-crossed. I don't know what you call them.

Before, whenever I would wear a revealing top, I had to put something over it so my dad would allow me to go out of the house. Once I get in the car, I take off the cover. Thank God he allows me to wear anything I want now! :p

before, used to go out wearing bootleg pants, and sexy tops.. we even went barhopping on our skul uniforms, well of course, the cutie bartender didnt serve us alcoholic drinks.. now, more of a smart casual thing..skirt, tops, denim jackets..

you don't have to wear something flashy and glittering naman.. as long as youre comfy and it's all about the bearing after all..
