Haven't been there for sometime though I've been there at least 7 times. I was organizing treks to Taal back in college. Once we had to turn back because of the strong waves and the heavy rains and in one other trip, we were in the middle of the lake heading back to the lakeshore when it poured and had no choice but to just keep going.

Ako rin nagpunta lang ako last December! Sulit yung trip namin dun! Nakakatakot nga lang yung mga horses nung paakyat and pababa ng bundok! Para silang madadapa! Para ngang gusto ko na lang maglakad nung mga times na yun e pero ok din naman! The funniest thing I experienced there was pag dating mo sa crater mismo!

hi krakista! :D

i agree. nakakatawa talaga yung mga nagbebenta ng drinks sa taas kasi mahilig sila sa 20 you noticed? kami we trekked up to the crater lang kaya medyo kainis yung mga nasa kabayo kasi maalikabok. really had fun. i remember this funny incident with the korean tourists on horseback. yung guide nya was talking to our guide and it was obvious na he was grumbling kasi he was waving those korean wons paid by his sakay, saying: anong gagawin ko dito?! :rotfl:

tapos, yung isang guide na bakla was dressed sexily and heavily made up pa tapos ang init init paakyat sa crater. totally hilarious! :lol:

where you planning to go next?

I spent some time in Laurel, Batangas for my community medicine rotation and lived literally at the edge of Taal Lake. There are a lot of rental boats you can rent to Taal volcano around Taal Lake. You can try going to Taal volcano through Batangas.

eto ***** yun isa mga tipid tips going to taal;

byahe ka tagatay pagdating mo sa crossing ng tagaytay eh sakay ka ng jeep going to talisay. ( dalawang transfer ng jeep yun, sasabihan naman kayo ng mga natives dun) tapos when yun reached taal proper you could source for boat na..tip ko lang baratin nyo sila. range nun mga boat are from 1200 to 900 unlimited time na yun for the day. tapos kapag nandun na kayo sa paanan ng taal yun mga natives dun madaming special offers,,like the sombrero ( which is kailangan pala talaga kse mainit along the way nde kse mapuno yun lugar), guide..( i dont think you need a guide kse you could just follow the trail & u'll never miss the spot, pwera nlang if u want to camp down mismo dun sa crater lake which is cool). tama sila lahat ng benta dun sa tuktok eh 20 pesos , kabayo is 300 balikan na. Maryjuana 20 din isang stick hehehehehe. The best ang lugar...pumunta ako dun para tumunganga lang and enjoy the view..! da best!!!!

Ira and DiaperRash, thanks a lot for the tips...

I saw the webpage of Taal Lake Yacht Club and they're offering Php 1,400 including roundtrip boatride for 6 adults, tour guide, parking, entrance to the Yacht Club, etc.

Okay na ba yun?

Clefairy, maybe you can also check out their site:
