OA. He used to be good. He used to ask good questions. He still asks good questions most of the time, though, masyado lang overly dramatic ang effects "Salamat sa Bagong Buwan. Salamat sa Cesar Montano." "Echo, 'pag binuksan namen ang dibdib mo ngayon, kinuha namen ang puso mo, anong makikita namen." Phulease?! Can you not be more brutal.. and cheesy? Plus, those clips they show in plugging Private Conversation... they get on my nerves.

Kidding aside, minsan nga OA pero he is really a good interviewer. I think he is even better than most of the current affairs hosts of both GMA-7 and ABS-CBN (sa pag-interview lang ha).

pag kakaintindi ko rin sabi nya para raw maiba, hindi mga politiko at govt officials yun guest nya nung araw na iyon para naman daw marinig at makita naman daw natin yung ibang anggulo sa problema sa mindanao sa mga pananaw at eksperyensya ng mga ordinaryong tao.

so akala ko mga ordinaryong mga kababayan natin sa mindanao na biktima ng kaguluhan sa lugar nila ang guest nya yun pala yung cast nung bagong movie ng starcinema so nabigla ako pero i still forced myself to watch yung show at nagsisi lang ako at nadisappoint.

bakit??? although i gave the show the benefit of the doubt na kaya ni boy at ng mga guest nyang artista yung topic eh bad trip si boy dahil showbiz pa rin yung karamihan sa mga tanong nya sa mga guests niya like yung pagbukas sa dibdib ni jericho at yung mga tanong niya dun sa bata,...anak ng **** anong kinalaman ng laman ng puso ni jericho sa problema ng mga kababayan natin sa mindanao.

so para sa akin yung show nyang iyon eh isang uri ng panloloko dahil kunwari seryoso yung topic nila that day with matching emote si bading yung pala its nothing more of promoting the movie coz its plain and simple gimik para maka-attract ng mga manonood na panoorin yung movie, hindi ginawa yung show para talakayin ang lumalalang problema ng mga kababayan natin sa mindanao kagaya ng gustong ipahiwatig dun sa umpisa ng show.

I guess peple find him OA pero I think he asks that way coz he wants to know things na hindi pa nasasabi nung ini-interview niya sa ibang tao. He wants to know raw facts and stuff. He's very honest. (how many will be open about their being gay and having a lover?)

But you have to admit, Philippine talk shows (esp. showbiz tsimis talk shows) have improved by leaps and bonds in terms of quality and script.

From the days of Inday Badiday with a whole row of talentless and inarticulate gay folks to Oskee Salazar. We now have Janice de Belen, Paolo Bediones and Boy Abunda prying into our celebrities' lives...medyo nag improve na, I think.

My opinion on Boy Abunda...medyo feeling siya. He has this irritating very "Filipino" way of pronouncing his -tion, masyadong exage...execuTION, promoSHOOOWN...arte! nakakairita...

Probably the initial positive replies to his previous interviews, considering the mediocrity of the competition, has gotten to his head, and now, the more he tries harder to appear profound and better informed, the more he looks shallow.

He should stopped the mirror thing, medyo OA, and also his numerous references to his sexual preferences on air even without being asked, maybe ok for a hetero, but for a guy like him, considering children are also watching, definitely not amusing.

He is better when he does straight interview, no pretenses, no expectations of accolades. Look at Larry King when he interviews, he never tried to appear intelligent, just honest and casual conversation, which is often more than enough to elicit very candid replies.

lance...excellent observations. Lalo na sa mediocre competiton niya, its the same thing that I feel about Edu's hosting skills. Its above average pero not something to rave about, pero since we have Rustom, Boyet and the like to compare him with, nagmumuka siyang diamante!!!

Kuya Boy is one good person I have known while working back there in RP.
Generous, considerate, helpful , thoughful and hardworking. He makes sure he knows the topic he will be tackling sa mga segments niya. Pina-pa research talaga niya sa staff niya.

I am not surprised kung bakit marami siyang shows sa ABS ngayon.
