because CSB Pep has cheerleading in their hearts. when we perform, we treat it like it's our last performance. we give our best... 110% we pour our hearts out into every dance, cheer, etc :)

i wondered why DLSU joined the RX cheerleading contest cuz they never have before. we joined it thinking that we're the representatives of the DLSU system. we didn't think that DLSU pep would be our opponent. besides, they have the UAAP cheering thing. why join RX? i mean, come to think of it, it's kinda messed up cuz we are under one system, although we are 2 different schools fighting for one trophy. kinda idiotic, isnt it? it's like, whoever wins naman, it's for the De La Salle system naman eh. kahit sino manalo, we're all winners here. :)

to the DLSU pep ... great job... goodluck sa UAAP Cheering!

i agree khakiskirt pro i guess lahat ng schools had the right to join the rx competition...they even supported us during the 1st rx cheering competition sa Mars...maybe they thought of it as a warm up and the cash prize much bigger....hhhhhhmmmmmm....but the dlsu pep are good and they've improved...they could do liberties na, hindi lang 1 ha as in around 5 girls! wow...bow ako sa kanila...

(buti na lang same number of letters)

CSB did not only performed for themselves, for their school, for the crowd...they performed that day to build a LEGACY and gain RESPECT!...and the best part of it is...they got what they wanted! :)GOOD JOB!

erman>; the csb squad is a relatively young squad, formed during the 3rd quarter of 1994, and we do have the same cheers as the main pep, pro we are trying our best to create our own cheers, in fact we have our own signature drumbeat and our drummers are working on 2 more...the year 95-96 were witnesses to three new cheers (a new benilde spelling, san benildo, and nakalimutan ko na yung third) which were composed by pep alumni but are yet to be used again because they are being refined :)

well, i don't if this is tru but as of what i heard the old pep of DLSU was mostly composed of benilde people. i think that's why they had a slight problem about joining the UAAP cheerleading competition last year because the rules changed. the entire team is supposed to come from the main school only. so maybe that's why the benilde team won over the DLSU team because they're kinda more used to cheering than the rather new DLSU team. but hey, give the DLSU team some time and for sure they'll do alot better next time right. :)

tapos na *** competetion, we won for the whole dlsu system not just for benilde! i do beleive that we proved something that night, not to take away anything from the dlsu pep they also did well. regarding the judges, they were impartial, la kaming kamag-anak or anything sa mga judges. i dnt even remember all the judges all i remember is si chill, and one dj of rx, i think there were 5 or six judges. That night was really a big win for us because we defeated the dlsu squad, the squad which taught us the la sallian cheers. We won because we had the bigger heart! regarding the members of the dlsu pep who are from csb, i think there were 3 or 4 of them who performed that night. another thing, when we all found out that UP and UST backed out of the competetion, ako *** linapitan ng president and trainor of the dlsu pep to ask me kung gusto namin exhibition nalang instead of competetion the split the money nalang, i said no cos we went there to compete. and to answer the question why we won, we are probably better, not only in the performance itself but in unity as a squad and our intensity when we perform! tama na sana sourgraping kung sino man jan naiinggit! the first rx competetion we beat UP who won the UAAP cheering competetion so we have proven that we are the squad to beat! we are the best!

I performed and all i can say is medyo malayo *** intensity csb showed that night medyo lamang naman ang csb sa intensity!!! ok ka lang!!! about the judges, wala kaya kaming kilala sa mga judges! tigilan na sana ang sourgraping!! tapos na yun, di na nga napapagusapan ng csb pep yun e! ok na ang pep ng csb and pep ng dlsu, bati na lahat ulit wag na nating pagawayin pa!!!

i've seen both csb pep and dlsu main perform in one event..the dlsu main pep squad are very good..kulang lang sa intensity and projection..i dont know if this was due to the fact that they were performing (and supposedly supporting) a political party which, in my opinion, held(and still hold)dubious intention..but that's beside the point..the point is mukhang unsure yung dlsu pep at that time..

well, i am from benilde and i always see the csb pep squad practise and perform. All I can say is they suck!!! They think they are really good and they all look mayayabang. They think they are so cool pero di naman. The question is why do the csb keep on comparing themselves to the dlsu pep squad? Answer is the dlsu pep squad, as we all know is the best that is why they are comparing themselves with the pep of main. They also want to be the best. Sadly kahit sino pa itanong much much better pa rin ang main. Just for the information of the readers, RX dj's and other people there are from Benilde. Honestly, never magiging better and benilde sa main because kitang kita that their dance and a lot of what they do ay galing sa main. Why are they trying so hard. Ok la lang? none of the dances ng girls came from main kaya! the guys parehong galaw pero paki tingnan mo naman yung form medyo dun nagkakaiba. y don't you come to our tambayan and introduce urself so that you'll know hu we really are and so that you'll know what kind of people we really are. you should have been there nung rx compeptetion so that you could have seen who really was the better squad. i have a lot of frnds frm pep ng main nd sometimes they even envy us for some of the things that are happening to us.

I think qtgirl is right. There is no doubt that dlsu pep squad is much much better than csb pep squad. This is the reason why they keep on comparing themselves with the dlsu pep. Sorry but la sallians think and know that they are still beyond the capabilities of csb pep squad. In my opinion, puro yabang lang kasi ang mga csb pep. They think that they are so cool hindi naman. Look at their cheerdancers, pathetic sumayaw and for those who don't notice, most of their dances are patterned from the dlsu pep. As SonGoku said, why don't you run a survey and you'll know reality. im writing this post, hindi para makipag-away kala qtgirl101 and SonGoku, but just to state my view and opinion...alam naman nating lahat na na-prove na ng main pep squad that they are a force to reckon with...we admit na magaling sila and we admire them for that...yung sinasabi mo na kinukuha namin ang sayaw namin sa main, that's not true...isa ako sa mga naghihirap magisip ng bagong choreography ng csb pep...baka ang ibig mong sabihin ISA LANG ANG PINAGKUKUHANAN namin ng dance moves, and from NCA/UCA danz and pom cheering competitions yun sa states and other dance videos which we have access to, kaya minsan may parehong moves...second, hindi kami ang nagcocompare sa sarili namin sa squad ng main...ibang tao ang nagcocompare sa amin sa kabila, hindi kami mismo...ibang entity ang csb pep sa main pep...

look guys, if you think, na hindi kame magaling, give us constructive criticisms...please don't put us down...help us na lang to do better...we know what people are saying about us behind our backs...hindi kami mahirap kausap, and we respect whatever you have written here in this thread, and i hope that you give us the respect and dignity that we deserve...

We are not insecure, we've proven ourselves in a lot of ways. We admit we were far from where we are now a few years back. A few years back we look/ask for performances but now we get padi to perform (m not talking about the previous SCelections cos we didn't ask to be paid). no fool would waste 10 grand on us if they think we are no good. We have proven our worth but our attitudes haven't changed we are still the same humble csb pep squad, we are humble but we will defend ouselves from people trying to destroy what we worked so hard to acheive and that is the status we have now.

and about the moves(girls), they are not patterned after the moves of dlsu. si sofiag9 mismo ang gumagawa ng moves ng girls. about us being cool, not for one minute did we think we are cool, we r who we are and if u have a problem with who we are y don't you come up to us and we'll talk about it personally.

the 2 squads support each other. during ncaa games some of the members of the dlsu pep come para makipalo, and during uaap games some of our members come to the d same. we did not start this thread, we are avoiding being compared to the pep ng main. if you were there nung competetion you would have heard us compliment the dlsu pep. we said over the mic " to the dlsu pep, thank you because we wouldn't be where we are right now if it wasn't for you guys, kayo nag2ro sa amin ng la sallian cheers!" i think we even said that we are so proud of ourselves cos we beat 1 of the best if not the best pep squad in the nation. It was a win not only for csb but for the whole system. it was a victory for the dlsu system.

so you think we're not good.. so you say that we came from DLSU MAIN... r you okay? all of us were dancers/cheerleaders from really good high schools.. we have background in cheerleading in dancing. how can you say that we are comparing ourselves to main? we are not! it's just that some people keep on making threads and comparing us both. DLSU and CSB pep are friends, we have no problem with each other. some people are obviously trying to ruin that friendship so that they can have something to talk about. whats your problem with the csb pep squad anyway? maybe you or one of your friends auditioned for the squad and you didn't make it. no hard feelings naman dyan. :) listen, if you have a problem with us, why don't you just go to our tambayan and tell us how you feel, para matapos na to. you call yourself a Benildean, you don't even support your fellow Benildeans. Maybe you should transfer schools. :) wala lang, thats it.
