making your first million

How old were you when you did it? How did it feel? Any tips for us who haven't made it yet?

When is your target? or how long do you think it will take you?

Ever since downloading that Monthly Savings Table and seeing that Anyone Can be a Millionaire in 10 Years thread, I realized it's possible. For those who doesn't mind sharing, please do so. Thanks.

about 5 more years, that is if I don't use any of my salary, and assuming that my salary increases 10% minimum each year...

im 26 when i self proclaimed a member of a millionare circle club . . . . it took me about 2.5 years when i did it . . . . quite fulfilling and secured was the first feeling . . . . but then you will realized that a million is not enough and u want to earn some more . . . .

frankly i dont think i can generate that amount if i stayed and worked in RP.

Aticus has a thread on how we can all be millionaires in ten years. He had an Excel worksheet that carefully details how this is possible. The only important thing you have to do is to save every month. All things constant, it would really be possible to make your first million in ten years, even if you're just working here in the Philippines.

I would have posted his Excel spreadsheet here, but that would be disrespectful to him. Wish I could find that thread...

Yup, tama 'yun! You would hardly feel the million because your lifestyle will change, more purchases are made, higher amortizations should be paid... whew! Hirap!

If everything goes well, I should make my first million next month. All thanks to the power of the internet. Without adding my salary which would take me 12 years, this would take me a year. But I do agree, the second million will be easier probably just a tenth of the time needed.
