It doesn't sound right, huh?
The semis and finals will be shown on Channel 4 so that the league can charge higher prices for commercial spots. The reach of studio 23 just isn't wide enough.

hmm, not a good move, coz a wider audience will mean more people bored with their league.

I don't think it makes much difference for Silverstar. PTV and SCI are two different entities who have a fairly good relationship with each other. I think it might even be good for Silverstar since it proves that our games have a wider reach than Studio 23's.
In any case, I'm not against it, I just though it might be a little weird seeing an ABS-CBN coverage on a government channel.

The plan never pushed through. However, the MBA games were eventually broadcast by ABS-CBN over PTV-4 starting with the 2001 season. ABS-CBN then dropped the MBA and the community-based league took in Silverstar Communications as their new broadcast partner for the truncated final season in 2002.
