Maganda ang nanalong Miss Indonesia this year. I believe na medyo hawig siya ni Alu Gonzales.

I saw the website na ng Miss Internet WWW...I have selected my magic 5 and for me I think Miss Azerbaijan and Miss Malaysia have an edge. Miss Yugoslavia and Miss America is also beautiful.
Mahihirapan si Miss Bayot to win kasi she is just a typical beauty as in yung ganda niya madaling makita sa normal na pretty girl.

Miss Agustin can have an edge sa Miss Globe because of her skills in Colombia and here experience in Miss Universe, but, I believe na hindi madali ang magkaroon ng back-to-back title for Miss Globe.

Kawawa naman si Miss 2nd Runner Up nila hindi pa ipinalalaban. She has the potential pa naman.

Interesting Notes in Ms HK Im not sure if I have mentioned it before but then..:)

---This year is the 30th anniversary of the said pageant.

---Not all Miss Hong Kong gets to represent in Miss Universe, there are some cases that even special awardees get to represent in MU which is really really strange in my opinion.

---Citizenship seemed not to be an issue for candidates in Ms HK since lately, there are lots of immigrants or overseas Hongkies who get back and join Ms Hk

---Like the beauty pageants in our provinces (or as I learned it from movies hehehe), they needed sponsors who will nominate them to the pageants. Im not sure though what will happen when you don't have a sponsor but as far as I know, you'll get to be notice more if you have a well known back up and of course, intrigues do come along also as a tradeoff. :belat:

---1991 is the first time that an overseas HongKie won the pageant. The winner ---Amy Kwok---was also the brainiest of all since she got 2 and not only 1) MASTERS DEGREE from US. She is now married to a reputable actor in Hong Kong. *okay*

---1997-2000 winners were all overseas contestants!

--- Almost all of the winners get to be actresses as this pageant has been the stepping stone for the entertainment industry. This is not surprising as the license holder of the said pageant is the biggest tv network in Hong Kong. Biggest since the network has its own studio na parang Universal Studio with different themes --- for classical era (dynasty era), post dynasty era, and for modern era! From what I heard, they occupy almost the whole of a mountain! Ganyan kabig time ang TVB and I can therefore conclude that they monopolize the tv industry! :wink:

La lang...Im just do delighted that they give importance to sharing this! :bigtooth: Medyo eclectic lang talaga taste ng mga HongKie...very influenced by European designs, in my opinion ah. ha? baket naman?! siguro you have a richer taste...kase di ba, origin ng macau food is portuguese which is european...so basically the food has a richer texture...thicker sauce or cream based. *** HK food kase ...the exact opposite eh. Kaya nga clash ang Asian at European cuisine ---Cantonese food (usual rep of Asian food) v.s. French food (usual rep of European food). Dahil din dyan, napapabilib ako sa show ng East meets West kase nakakagawa sya ng fusion hehehe....*okay* Anyways, Im disgressing and Im getting hungrier with what I am saying hahaha....

Believe it or not...Ive been to HK a couple of times but I never set foot on Macau! E ang lapit lapit lang nun di ba?!? share ko lang to..i saw mabuhay beauties' staff sa Kublai sa Podium near megamall last week. nalaman ko na sila yun kasi they were talking about Bb. Pilipinas and stuffs and andun pa si Jeffrey Jeturian. Tinalasan ko lang tenga ko. Hehehe. They seem to look nice and maiingay. I think mr. gerry diaz is the oldest among the group. siya yung maingay. of course, kilala ko na si jeffrey jeturian. joseph vitug kinda overweight and speaks english like a pure american. si ed naman is the youngest among the group and he's a cutie! kasabay niya si jeffrey jeturian na dumating. mr. boyet blas is kinda old na rin.

Cynthia Lander will represent Venezuela in Miss MesoAmerica on August 17, 2002 and in Miss International on October 4, 2002. Pageant organizers said the September 20 results of Miss Venezuela will be too late for whoever will supposedly compete. Contestants for Miss International will start arriving on September 25, five days after the Miss Venezuela pageant.

Looks like Cynthia is following on the footsteps of Natascha. By the end of the year, both ladies will have joined 3 pageants each.

July 31th one of ten delegates will be selected as Miss Bogota for the 2003 Miss Colombia Universe pageant in Cartagena, you can see the 10 delegates at www.citytv.com.co

On August 4th Miss Atlantico for Miss Colombia Universe will be selected from 7 delegates you can see the delegates at www.elheraldo.com.co there are 4 really strong delegates one of them is Johana Costes of 1.80 or 5"11 and exotic looks.

Regarding Miss Ireland, yeah they prioritize Miss World over Miss Universe, but the last time they made the top 10 in any major pageant was back in 1998 in Miss U. And regarding Leslie Turner, her being 1st runner up was a VERY BIG blessing because she was more beautiful than the actual winner and she got to compete in the most prestigious pageant. And what happened was people knew her more as one of the most beautiful gals that Ireland sent in any major pageant. She was more popular than the actual winner.

The organization has been responsible for selecting the French representatives for the Miss World pageant since 1954.

110 delegates are reported to show up at Abuja by November. This will definitely be one helluva competition! We haven't even seen the delegates from the United States, Venezuela, England and Thailand... We should also watch out for these nations...

regarding Fabiola's national costume in Mrs. World, I know the head piece is the same. But I have this feeling iba yung tela and patterns that were used back in Miss U 1994. i know her costume wasn't predominantly white at madaming intricate designs. The dress she wore in Mrs. World looks plain eh.
