This girl is sure to make a lot of heads turn in San Juan come May.

The last time our country made it was in 1999 (of course, who could ever forget) when Miriam Quiambao narrowly missed the Miss Universe crown by winning 1st runner-up. Last year, Zorah Andam won 1st runner-up in the National Costume Presentation Show.

This year, will Karen finally put an end to our 29-year Miss Universe drought? We'll all find out on May 29. Stay tuned. :)

Miss España 2002 Vania Millan Miras will be representing SPAIN in this year's Miss Universe pageant set for May 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Organizacion Miss España has explained to Hola! News that the Miss Universe Organization has chosen the actual and reigning Miss España 2002 to participate in MU2002. Vania received, with much illusion and joy, the news that she was chosen to represent her country in the most prestigious beauty pageant in the universe this year.

With the presence of last year's winner Lorena Ayala Van Heerde, the right to represent Spain in MU2002 was finally given up graciously.

Lorena even invited her mother Francisca Ayala to be interviewed yesterday in the TV show De buena mañana. Lorena's parents have denounced the Miss España pageant organization for not giving their daughter the benefits that goes with her title of Miss España 2001.

Vania is now undergoing intense preparations as she prepares to compete in MU2002. Her training includes lessons in walking (passarela) and wardrobe selection. She will be flying to San Juan on May 10.

Lara, you're right. In fact, this is the best shot of Isis that I ever saw so far. I hope she maintains that look in time for MU2002 in her country.

Isis is a real stunner here because she's being her true self-- no mimicking or patterning after Denise!!!! This is indeed great because individuality combined with a unique and personal sense of style definitely count a LOT! :)

Barely a month before the staging of the Miss Universe 2002 pageant in Puerto Rico, almost all participating nations have selected their representatives. Various nations traditionally send either blondes or brunettes, which is considered a strategy. This year Sweden, Colombia, Mexico, Honduras, USA and the Dominican Republic have selected representatives of color.

In line with this growing trend, Osmel Sousa, president of Organizacion Miss Venezuela, has transformed his queen from a platinum blonde to a brunette. Osmel after studying every possibility in Cynthia, and after having done various consultations and rehearsals, has finally decided that Venezuela's Miss Universe 2002 representative would have black hair-- to perfectly contrast her blue eyes and light skin complexion.

This year's Miss Universe pageant will see a whole new circle of black delegates. The impact on this matter was first realized through Colombia, which crowned its very first Miss Universe representative of color. Consequently, Vanessa Mendoza remains to be one of the early favorites to snag the MU2002 crown.

Bolivia's representative is Paola Coimbra, a morena who also possesses strong and sharp features.

Sylvie Tellier was crowned Miss France 2002 last December 10. She is 23 years old and stands 5 feet 8 inches (1.72 m). She entered the local pageant as Miss Lyon. She will represent France in MU2002 set for May 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Just like her predecessor Elodie Gossuin, Sylvie has already been invloved in a huge controversy-- this time around it's not about sexuality, but height.

French beauty Aurelie Brun has demanded Sylvie be measured to prove she meets the 5-foot-7 height requirement. Brun, 19, was stripped of the title Miss Loire-Forez in October and disqualified from the Miss France Pageant for not being tall enough. "Lots of girls who've met her have told me that she must be only 5-foot-6," Brun sniffed.

The demand that Tellier, who'll represent France at the 2002 Miss Universe Pageant, be measured was dismissed by the Miss France committee.

Last March 13, Sylvie was involved in a vehicular accident that left her with minor contusions. Luckily for Sylvie and for France, she was able to recover and now she is more than prepared to compete in Miss Universe.

Last year, pageant winner Elodie Gossuin, 20, was falsely accused by a satirical website of being a 27-year-old transvestite cabaret dancer named Nicholas Levanneur.

Let's all see if Sylvie will duplicate or even surpass the achievements of Sonia Rolland and Elodie Gossuin in Miss Universe for the past 2 consecutive years. Stay tuned. :)

Sally Shaheen will represent EGYPT in Miss Universe 2002.

Egypt's representive for MU2002 is Sally Shaheen who was the 1st Runner-up 2001 to Sarah Shaheen in the Miss Egypt Universe 2001 pageant. Sally was Miss Egypt World 2001. Since Sally did not participate in Miss World 2001 as scheduled, she was chosen by the local pageant organization to participate in the upcoming Miss Universe 2002 pageant set for May 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Owing to the presently chaotic situation in the Middle East, the pageant organization decided to have the 2003 Miss Egypt Universe Pageant this July in Alexandria instead. The winner of Miss Egypt Universe 2003 will represent Egypt in Miss Universe 2003 and the runner-ups may represent Egypt in Miss World and International 2002 pageants.

Sally is 24 years old and stands exactly 5 feet 11 inches. She speaks English, Arabic and French.

Since it joined the Miss Universe pageant in 1987, Egypt never made it to the semi-finals. It has never won any special award either.

Miss Ecuador 2002 Isabel Ontaneda arrived in Caracas, Venezuela last week for intensive training and preparations for the upcoming Miss Universe 2002 pageant. However, it could not be confirmed at the moment if she will be trained by Osmel Sousa of the Organizacion Miss Venezuela.

Let's all see if this training will pay off come May 29. :)

Ecuador last made it to the Miss Universe semi-finals in 1981, when Lucia Vinueza made it to the Top 12 in New York. The last time Ecuador won a special award was in 1992, when Maria Soledad Diab won the Photogenic Award in Bangkok.

MISS AUSTRALIA UNIVERSE 2002 HAS BEEN CROWNED!

Last night, the Miss Australia Universe 2002 pageant took place at the Hotel Marriot in Sydney with the participation of 20 official candidates.

Miss Brisbane Sarah Davie won the crown. She will represent The Largest Island, The Smallest Continent in MU2002 set for May 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Sarah's runners-up include Miss Melbourne Anna Andre and Miss Perth Gemma Griffith.

Miss Australia 1992 Geogina Denahy and Miss Australia 1993 (also MU93 Finalist) Voni Delfos were among the judges.

The very last time Australia made it was in 1993, when Voni Delfos made it to the Final 6 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Let's all see if Sarah will break her country's 8-year semi-final dry spell in Miss Universe. Stay tuned. :)

Regarding the new crown:
From what i've understood from the press release, the new queen won't bring home the $200,000 because it is too precious. But she would have a $20,000 as a replacement where she can wear in her functions outside. So it means it's only during coronations we will see the $200,000 crown and in her official portraits.

From the Press Release:
"In addition to the official Mikimoto crown, which will be kept by the Miss Universe Organization for the annual crowing of the new Miss Universe, each newly crowned Miss Universe will be awarded a pearl and diamond tiara valued at $20,000. This tiara will be part of the overall prize package awarded at the conclusion of the Miss Universe 2002 competition in San Juan, Puerto Rico, May 29, 2002 on the CBS Television Network."

Here are the remaining confirmed national pageants and their coronation dates:

April 11: Miss Universe Botswana 2002

April 12: Miss Guyana Universe 2002

April 13: Miss Brasil 2002

April 19: Miss Nederlands 2002

April 27: Miss Peru Universo 2002

NOTE: The Miss Uruguay Universo 2002 pageant will be held either on April 12 or 19. Let's just wait for further announcements.

There are 3 NEWBIES in this year's Miss Universe 2002 pageant:

1. ALBANIA- Albania is a predominantly Muslim country. I was so shocked when I heard it was joining Miss Universe this year. However, I was more shocked with the mere thought that it has never joined the Miss World pageant yet and I'm so happy that it prioritized the Miss Universe pageant above all else.

Albania's representative is Anisa Kospiri, who was crowned last year.

2. PEOPLES' REPUBLIC OF CHINA- After years of failed attempts, finally the most populous nation in the world has joined the most prestigious beauty pageant.

China's representative is Ling Zhuo, who was crowned early this month.

3. SAINT MAARTEN- Saint Maarten is a Dutch overseas territory in the Caribbean. A lot of people confuse it with Saint Martin, which on the other hand is a French overseas department also in the Caribbean. Just like Albania and China, it's Saint Maarten's debut in the Miss Universe pageant.

Zack: TY, TY, TY for posting the latest Sush pics. Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is usually the station airing the IIFA Awards (along with Femina). RE Sush, her career is on a roll these days, with 2 films already shown this year (3 months pa lang yun ha) and soon to be seen in one of the most anticipated Bollywood films of the year, Aankhein, with India's King of Movies Amitabh Bachchan. She plays a sort of Catherine Zeta Jones character in Entrapment (yes, she plays a thief). Ash's career is currently in the doldrums, with a major project later this year. Lena Paparrigopoulou was selected on Tuesday night as the new Star Hellas 2002, or Miss Greece Universe. A top model, she is 20 years old and stands 6 feet tall / 183 cm. She will compete in Miss Universe next may. Katerina Georgiadou, 22 and 5'10" tall, was elected as Miss Hellas and will compete in Miss World in November. Ioanna Kafkopoulou, a former Miss Young Greece, got the title of Miss Greek Beauty and will compete in Miss International. She is 22 years old and stands 6' in height. 1st runner-up for Star Hellas was Stella Giampoura (to Miss Europe); and 1st runner-up for Miss Hellas, was Georgia Miha who also got the special award of "Miss Beauty". The remaining finalist was Chryslisa Ermisoglou.

With the crowning of Lena as Star Hellas Greece 2002, there are now two 6-footers in MU2002. The other one is none other than Cynthia Lander of Venezuela.

This year is a "tall" year for Star Hellas and for all pageants na rin in general... I noticed there are a lot of 5'10" and 5'11" girls participatin in MU2002...

This pageant consulting group is owned none other by Jennifer Makris-Hill, Miss New Jersey USA 1997 and Miss USA 1997 semi-finalist.

If she wins Miss Brasil 2002, expect tougher competition most especially among the South American señoritas themselves. Kelly is a strong contender for the MU2002 crown.

The Coronation Night for Miss Brasil 2002 is on April 13, 2002, Saturday. The spectacular city of Rio de Janeiro plays host to this big event.

Australia is finally back in the Miss Universe pageant after its absence last year.

The last time Australia ever made it was way back in 1993, when Voni Delfos made it to the Final 6 in Mexico City, Mexico.

The last time Australia won a special award in MU was in 1997, when Laura Csortan was voted Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants in Miami Beach, Florida. Laura went on to be a semi-finalist in Miss World 1997 held in the Seychelles Islands in November that year.

Yesterday at 5:30 in the afternoon, Miss Deustchland 2002 Natascha Borger arrived in Caracas via Lufthansa German Airlines. The young beauty is currently billeted at the Hotel Gran Melia Caracas.

Unfortunately, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Caracas has postponed for this coming Tuesday the welcome party in honor of Natascha. During her stay in Caracas, Natascha is set to meet up with top photographer Sergio Di Francesco for photo sessions and visit Fuscia Magazine for an interview in the coming days.

Erika Cruz Escalante will be the 1st ever woman of color to represent Mexico in the Miss Universe pageant. She was crowned Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2002 last year.

Erika is 21 years old and stands 5 feet 11 inches. She hails from the city of Merida in the Yucatan Peninsula.

The very last time Mexico made it to the MU semi-finals was in 1999, when Silvia Salgado Cavozos made it to the Top 10 in Trinidad & Tobago.

The last time Mexico won special awards was in 2000 when Leticia "Letty" Judith Murray Acedo won a double victory. She bagged the National Costume and Clairol Herbal Essence Classic Style Awards in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Oksana Fyodorova was originally crowned Miss Russia 2001 on April 16, 2001. However, she was not able to participate in Miss Universe 2001 since she had exams to take in the Interior Ministry training school. Her then-1st runner-up Oxana Kalandyrets was sent in lieu of her absence. Lucky for Oxana and lucky for Russia, she made it to the Top 10 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

This year, Oksana is more than prepared in representing her country in MU2002 set for May 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Oksana is 24 years old and stands 5 feet 10 inches. She hails from the city of St. Petersburg. She works as a police lieutenant.

The last time Russia won a special award in Miss Universe was in 1996, when Ilmira Shamsutdinova bagged the National Costume Award in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I believe it was a poor interview score that did her during the MU99 preliminaries... I couldn't find any flaws in her swimsuit and evening gown peformances during the Presentation Show...

She ranked 18th overall in that pageant where 84 delegates competed for the title of Miss Universe 1999.

Min Kyoung-Kim was crowned Miss Korea Universe 2001 on May 27, 2001. She will represent her country in MU2002 set for May 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Min is 20 years old and stands 5 feet 6.5 inches. She measures 35-24-35. She hails from the capital city of Seoul.

The last time Korea made it in Miss Universe was way back in 1988, when Yun Jung Chang won 1st runner-up in Taipei, Taiwan ROC.

Last year, Sa-Lang Kim won her country's 4th National Costume Award in Miss Universe. Korea has previously won this award in 1974, 1977 and 1983.

Puerto Rican daily El Nuevo Día published yesterday this calendar of activities for the Miss Universe 2002 pageant. However, this is only a preliminary calendar. Please be guided accordingly.

May 10-12 - Arrival of the delegates in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
May 14 - Welcome Party in honor of the delegates at the Hotel Caribe Hilton.
May 16 - Another Party to be hosted by American Airlines in honor of the delegates.
May 18 - Possible Carnaval de Reinas in Viejo San Juan.
May 19 - Possible benefit event for the sick of SIDA.
May 21 - National Costume Presentation Show at the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré Center.
May 23 - National Gifts Auction at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico.
May 24 - Presentation Show at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum.
May 25-28 - Final Dress Rehearsals for the Finals Night at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum.
May 29- Miss Universe 2002 Live Telecast at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum.

SOME NOTES:
1. The remaining days of preparation are spent planning the visits of the delegates in various towns of the island.

The fairytale story of Mpule Kwelagobe’s road to success...

- Mpule only received her ticket to fly to Trinidad 5 minutes before passing through passport control in Gaborone, Botswana.
- Mpule’s luggage, including all her show dresses, went missing in London for 3 days on the way to Trinidad.
- Ironically, the original material for her ballgown was stolen in Johannesburg, South Africa, from the designer Angelo John, and the ‘second best’ gown had to be made in 3 days.
- Hansley Chadree from TTT, the local TV station, said ‘Ke a go rata’ (I love you in SeTswana) at every opportunity on his breakfast chat show
- In the famous photograph of shock / surprise / joy, she is looking straight at Maleta (Franchisee) and Angelo John (Designer)
- On the Monday before the show she kept asking Maleta if her tickets home were in order but on the Wednesday she said she would win the crown for Maleta and Angelo John for believing in her
- Did you know that she wore the National Costume back to front? Whichever way she wore it, it still looked good!

A week before the coronation, this pic was flashed on Indonesian national television and published on all dailies. Immediately, the Indonesian government called for Alya's withdrawal from the pageant after appearing in this "scandalous swimsuit shot". Fortunately, Alya was eventually allowed to continue representing Indonesia with the promise and condition of not competing in the swimsuit segment or appearing in a swimsuit in public.

This is VERY TRUE! Another tradition is wearing different gowns for the Presentation Show and Live Telecast. Miss Venezuelas just love changing their evening gowns-- to the astonishment and delight of everyone.

And YEAH, expect Miss Germany Natascha Borger to do well in MU2002 come May... :)

She will represent the Slovak Republic in Miss World 2002 set for November in South Africa.

Eva is 20 years old and stands 5 feet 9 inches.

April 27, Saturday: Miss Peru Universo 2002

NOTE: The Miss Guyana Universe 2002 and Miss Brasil 2002 pageants are currently taking place. We will know the winners a little later during the day.

The Miss Cook Islands 2002 pageant took place last April 6, Saturday in Raratonga. However, the results have not yet been released. Let's all wait for this.

Also, the Miss Universe Botswana 2002 pageant took place last April 11, Thursday in Gaborone. Like Miss Cook Islands 2002, the results of this pageant have also not yet been released. Let's all wait for the official announcements.

Still NO NEWS/UPDATES regarding their national pageants or participation in Miss Universe 2002:

US Virgin Islands

With the inclusion of Botswana and Cook Islands (even if we don't know their reps' names yet), there are already 77 delegates for Miss Universe 2002. There are 6 more to go... Joanna Drozdowska was crowned Miss Polonia 2001. She represented her country in the Miss World 2001 pageant held in Sun City, South Africa last November 16. Now, she's headed to San Juan, Puerto Rico for the Miss Universe 2002 pageant set for May 29.

Joanna is 22 years old and stands 5 feet 6 inches. She measures 33.5-25-36.

JUST when everyone thought we had finally rid ourselves of this worrisome bug that has been plaguing almost every local beauty pageant in the last few years, controversy again reared its ugly head Saturday night when Guyana Telephone & Telegraph Company (GT&T)'s Mia Rahaman was crowned this year's Miss Guyana Universe.

Some patrons made known their displeasure at the judges' decision by booing roundly and, rising almost in accord, walking out of the National Cultural Centre in Georgetown where the pageant, which was slated to be 'the event of events of the year', was held.

A small pocket remained behind to register their disapproval in a more vocal manner.

Things had been going relatively smoothly up until then, with members of the audience being so supportive of all the delegates, at times it was hard to tell who the crowd favourites were.

Most in the audience, which was bursting at its seams, felt that, beautiful or not, the title rightly belonged to Rayon House of Fashion's Juanita Collins, based on the way she handled herself in the question and answer segment of the pageant, which was broadcast live on television last Wednesday evening, and more so during the final question which was posed to the five finalists Saturday night.

The final question was: `Were Guyana to be given US$100M, how do you think these funds should be used to develop the country, and why?'

Poor distribution of sound, placement and the over-enthusiasm of the audience, however, prevented members of the media, who were allocated seats off to one side of the balcony, from hearing the responses.

But, from the little we were able to gather, Car Care's Asha Pieters, whose platform had to do with the prevalence of drug abuse, particularly among youths, felt the money should go towards developing a programme to address the issue.

Rahaman, on the other hand, though halting in her delivery, felt the money would be better spent on developing Guyana's fledgling tourism industry by completing the Guyana/Brazil road and a spanking new international airport among, other things.

This, of course, drew resounding applause from, not only those in her corner, but others in the audience as well.

Grace Kennedy's candidate, Petal De Santos, too, also favoured tourism development, while Infinity Boutique's Shammane Joseph proposed using the money to address women's issues, especially those pertaining to their development.


Collins felt it should be first used to pay off the debt burden before tackling anything else. She, too, favoured developing the tourism industry.

Collins, a Reservations Clerk with the regional carrier, British West Indies Airways (BWIA), is also said to have acquitted herself admirably in the other segments of the pageant, namely the swimwear leg of it which was held a week ago at the Splashmin's Fun Park and Resort on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway, and the evening wear segment on pageant night.

But according to franchise holder, Mr. Odinga Lumumba, the judges had the last say and as such their decision was final.

The final results, a tally of the scores obtained in all four segments of the pageant, were computed and verified on the spot by the accounting firm, Ram and McRae, which moved in a set of equipment to do the job.

Collins, perforce, had to settle for third place, or second runner-up, behind De Santos, who, as the rule dictates, will represent Guyana at the upcoming Miss Universe 2002 pageant in Puerto Rico next month should, God forbid, anything happen to Rahaman.

The positions of third and fourth runners-up respectively, went to Joseph and Pieters, who was also voted 'Miss Sacha Face' and 'Miss Body Beautiful'.

The likeable Rahaman, who, from as early as the swimwear leg of the pageant, had always elicited mixed reaction from the crowd, was also voted 'Miss Congeniality', a title conferred on her by fellow delegates.

Sissel Moore, who was sponsored by the group, Shortt & Friends, was voted 'Miss Total Togetherness'.

Judges for this leg of the pageant, whose names ostensibly were a well-guarded secret, were former Misses Universe Mpule Kwelogobe and Wendy Fitz-William; Justice Carl Singh; King Solomon's Enterprise Managing Director, Mr. Stanford Solomon; Ms. Lianne Angus, first runner-up in Miss USA 2001; communications specialist, Mr. Kit Nascimento; Ms. Sheryn Hylton-Parker, Community Liaison Officer at the U.S. local mission; and Dr. Steve Surujbally, Commissioner of the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM). Chief judge was Ms. Jennifer Webster, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the President.

Beginning fashionably late as is the trend these days, things got under way with a dance piece, which was a collaborative effort between the National Dance Company and the National School of Dance, and a beautifully-choreographed opening piece depicting the 20 delegates in search of self and the elusive Miss Guyana Universe crown, for which they wore identical bronze-piece suits sporting cold-shouldered midriff tops and asymmetrically-cut short skirts.

Following this they broke into two groups, with delegates numbers one to 10 on one side of the stage, and delegates numbers 11 to 20 on the other. Beginning with delegates numbers one and 20, who were the leaders of their respective flanks, each girl sidled up to the microphone on their side of the stage and introduced themselves, while the others kept the crowd entertained with the little dances they did on the spot as they awaited their turn.

The next time the delegates appeared on stage, they were each wearing identical black one-piece bath suits, trimmed with pink and green floral appliqués, which was a vast improvement on the gold and black numbers they wore at Splashmin's.

Identical fresh pink roses worn Hawaiian style in their hair, a slip of pink chiffon worn like a sarong around the hip, and bronze heeled sandals completed this ensemble.

Between this and when next the delegates emerged for the evening gown segment of the pageant, the audience was kept well entertained through a number of cultural items which included performances from members of the National School of Dance and the National Dance Company; the local group, 'First Born' backed by the all-girl Marigold Choir; reigning Calypso Monarch, VJ, who never seems to grow tired of campaigning for a shot at the presidency; and a group of svelte overseas models who showed us a thing or two about how it's done in the 'outer world'.

For her evening wear, Rahaman wore a Pat Coates creation featuring a simple little black number with a dove tail and three spaghetti straps. A French chignon and heeled black and silver sandals, all of which contrived to give her a certain 'Latin' look, completed her ensemble.

De Santos' gown, too, was also cut along simple lines, as was Joseph's. Both were the creations of local designers, Pam Fox and Coates, respectively.

Both Pieters' and Collins' outfits, which latter was one of the few elaborate pieces on display that evening, were designed by Michelle Cole.

Rahaman was crowned by Kwelogobe, while Fitz-William secured her sash.

Many in the audience wondered aloud at the absence of former Miss Guyana Universe, Morvinia Sobers throughout the proceedings.

All the delegates were presented with certificates of participation and pieces of jewellery as a token of appreciation from the planning committee.

Among those in attendance were President Bharrat Jagdeo, Education Minister, Dr. Henry Jeffrey, Culture Minister, Ms. Gail Teixeira, Public Service Minister, Dr. Jennifer Westford, Tourism Minister, Mr. Manzoor Nadir, and City Mayor, Mr. Hamilton Green and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Basdeo-Green.

Teodora Burgazlieva, 16 years old, was crowned Miss Bulgaria 2002. The pageant took place in the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, with the participation of 40 candidates.

Teodora received a Fiat Punto as prize. She will represent her country in Miss World 2002 set for November in South Africa.

Elena Georgieva Dimitrova, 19 years old, will represent Bulgaria in Miss Universe 2002 set for May 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Sally Shaheen will represent Egypt in MU2002 set for May 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Sally was 1st runner-up to Sarah Shaheen (no relation to her) during the Miss Egypt Universe 2001 pageant. Sally was set to compete at the Miss World 2001 pageant in South Africa in November 16 last year. However, she did not go.

The Miss Egypt Universe 2002 pageant, which was originally scheduled for tonight, has been moved to July due to the rising political and socio-economic conflicts in the Middle East. As a result of this, the Miss Egypt Universe Organization chose Sally to participate in Miss Universe 2002.

Sally is 24 years old and stands 5 feet 11 inches.

Since Egypt joined Miss Universe in 1987, it has never made it to the semi-finals or won any special award.

Natascha's wardrobe was taken care of by Venezuelan couturier Franco Montoro. These pictures were all taken by Venezuelan photographer Sergio Di Francesco.

Actually, I don't see any transformation at all... Natascha's still the very same stunner babe who captured the Miss Deutschland 2002 crown last January... I know she'll do extremely well come May. :)

Natascha is 21 years old and stands 5 feet 11 inches.

After seeing the two pics of these two Venezolanas, i must say Miss Germany is more fresh looking while Miss Venezuela, well... manufactured and has too much make up. It's going to be "War of the Titans" this year. And Natasha, hindi siya magpapatalo. And I think, since there are lots of former Miss Venezuela candidates who has German blood, should go back to Germany. Sure and easy win sila dun.

This is the most important lesson Natascha Borger has taught the whole world when she was crowned Miss Deutschland 2002 last January 10. After a failed attempt to participate in Miss Universe last year, here she is again... this time around, she is INDEED going to Miss Universe... Dreams can come true after all... :)
