By the way, how is that ice hotel business in Montreal? Would we have a chain ice hotel for a business in the Phillipines?

Just a few questions for you folks waaay up North...

1. Do a lot of Canadians still go to the US on the weekends to shop? A few years ago, I was vacationing along the Canadian border of upstate New York and was perplexed at the number of cars from Canada lining up to enter the US. I was told it was cheaper to shop in the States because of the GST (10% really hurts). I guess this question applies to those living on border towns.

2. Will there be another vote regarding Quebec as an independent country? How do you feel about it? What, if any, will be the effect to the Maritime Provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, etc.)?

3. Is it possible to take VIA rail from Montreal to straight to Vancouver? I think that would be one excellent adventure. Lots of beautiful countryside along the way.

Your inputs greatly appreciated.

Answer to questions number 1 and 3. Yes, a lot of Canadians are still crossing the US border to shop. Especially in Buffalo. It's true that it is cheaper in States because the tax here in Canada is 15%...but I think when you convert the US dollar to Canadian dollar its still the same.

Yes, it is possible to take VIA rail from Montreal straight to Vancouver. I already experienced it but it's from Vancouver till Toronto only..but the train can go straight to Montreal. It was really an excellent experience coz I was able to see some places here in Canada. It was a 3 day travel. It's fun but you can't take a bath in the train..just have to wash your face and refresh your body.

Questions for Canadians

Just a few questions for you folks waaay up North...

1. Do a lot of Canadians still go to the US on the weekends to shop? i don't know about the statistics on this but evryone i know shops here in montreal. downtown montreal has a european taste so all my friends including me shop here.

2. Will there be another vote regarding Quebec as an independent country? How do you feel about it? What, if any, will be the effect to the Maritime Provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, etc.)? oh god! yes! i don't think that that the parti quebecois will ever stop. i feel a little bit worried but i doubt that quebec would want to separate anyways. if they do i'll probably move back to pinas or go live in hawaii. the other maritime provinces will be greatly affected. new trade agreements will affect their main source of income, fishing industries.

3. Is it possible to take VIA rail from Montreal to straight to Vancouver? I think that would be one excellent adventure. Lots of beautiful countryside along the way. refer to aubrey_may

the last time i was there was in 1999 also. everytime i've gone to the phils it has been during christmas, so i'm really missing it right about now. and what beats new year's eve in the philippines?? sure you may go deaf or lose a couple of digits, but hey!

my parents are there right now and they're having such a good time that they forget to call us back here! i'm so jealous... hehee.. :D

Last time I was back home was last year. I really miss having Christmas in the Philippines. Over here my husband's family is much smaller than my huge clan back home so our Christmases are often very subdued and just focused on the kids.

I was totally traumatized by my first winter but I'm pretty much over it now. I just kind of ignore it, hehehe if that's possible.

I used to get homesick REALLY bad but after I started going to school and working and getting into the swing of life here, the homesickness started to wear off. Of course, I still miss it a lot though.

hey crazy_fool_22!

I agree with sOurCrEaM, get Fido. Some say it's lousy when you're in a mountainous area because the signal drops off easily but if you're in a more centrally located area like where you are now (Aurora, right?) then it should be OK. I haven't tried sending my friends back home text messages yet but my mom has already sent me a message through Fido.ca.

I'd rather go with them than with Bell. Wanna hear my great Bell Solo customer service story?

About two years ago when my mom visited me, she bought me a phone with a pre-paid card. The woman we bought it from was nagtatanga-***** when she activated it and I couldn't use my phone for like, the first week. I was on the phone with Bell customer service for that whole week, trying to figure out what went wrong. Finally at the end of it all, they learned that the woman who sold it to me entered the wrong serial number or whatever when she activated my phone, thereby activating some other phone. The customer service rep fixed the problem and even said that for my trouble (I was obviously extremely annoyed by the whole thing, I mean, who wouldn't be?) she (or it could have been a he, I forget) would enter a note on my account that I could pick up a free $25 card at any Bell World location. He or she said that all I'd have to do was go to a Bell World, tell them my name and/or cell number, and when they brought up my account there would be a note saying that I was entitled to a complimentary $25 card. All the while I was thinking "Hmph! Dapat lang! Dapat nga $50 eh!". So a few days later I go to the Bell World where I originally bought it. The woman who sold me the phone was not there so I spoke to one of the other staff members. I explained the whole thing and they said it was impossible for the customer serive rep to leave a note like that on my account, meaning, I wouldn't be getting my free card. I tried to explain to her that the rep assured me that because of all the hassle I went through, I would be compensated this way. The staff member kept insisting that when she pulled up my account on the screen, there was no note of any kind. Infuriated, I asked to speak to the manager. The smug b!tch said "OK, but he's just going to tell you the same thing I just told you." Then I asked "Well why did the customer service rep promise me that card?" And you know what this bright shining example of a human being said to me? She said "Oh, they probably just lied and said that to get you off the phone." My husband and I have never been so mad and so dissatisfied with this kind of service. As we walked away he shouted "F*ck you very much!" at her.

So I just stopped using the phone all together. After a few months I got a call from them saying that they noticed that I haven't been using my line and that if I didn't use it soon it would be deacitvated. I told them why and I told them that I would never use their service again or recommend their service to anyone else and that I didn't care if the line got deactivated. Then like, 6 months later they sent me a form letter saying that again they noticed that I haven't been using my line and that as an incentive they're giving me a $50 credit on my account. Of course I still refused to use it and just let it go until the line got disconnected.

I couldn't bring it back because my mom used her credit card to buy it and she had already gone back to the Philippines by then. Also, I was just so pissed off at Bell Solo that I never wanted to deal with them ever again.

That was probably the single worst experience I'd ever had with customer service in my entire life.

Dibale, when i finally get my cellphone, i'll inform you guys!! :)

Im just wondering... If I buy 3390 or 5190, will i be able to use it sa Pnas? Pwede naman siguro noh?

I had 8210 before. But when we came here, it was of no use kasi dual band lang siya.

As of now, wala pa rin akong work, baka naman pwede nyo akong matulungan makahanap ng work.

im just a new kid in the block too - we came here last august..
so far, i have learned that if you're choosy, mahihirapan ka talagang maghanap ng job, especially when you're looking for something in line with your field.... but if you're not, madali lang... and i guess it kinda depends too kung nasaan ka, like in Toronto, i guess the competition there is quite tough.

i've been working here for about a month and a half now while im waiting for school to start on January.. i didnt find it hard to look for this job.. ewan lang, siguro lang kasi ok lang kahit anong job.. if you're wondering.. im working in a fastfood restaurant.

anyways, everything i just said is based only on what i think and have noticed.. let's just wait for the opinion of the more expert people here in this thread...

but in the mean time, Good Luck!

hallooohaaaaa mga canoy! wazzzzup! welcome to canada knoty boy, so musta snow? :D yeaaaaaahp i agreed with crazy fool, na mahihirapan ka talagang maghanap ng trabaho kung mapili ka. i'd been here in Canada for 5 years now (ahahahay citizen na pala ako since tues. lang woohooooooo im proud to be filipino-canadian .... i love being a filipino but at the same time, being here for so long makes me love this country too and i don't see any reason why i shouldn't) anyways, i'm also working in a fastfood restaurant (wendys too be exact) sabi nila for teen-agers lang daw yung nagistick dun, i should have a better job but the point is if im gonna look for an "office-type or white collar job" mahihirapan ako (coz karamihan ng ganun bilingual hanap nila), so i dont see any reason kung kets ko di tatanggapin ang trabahong ganun (well atleast nga yun maganda ang experience mo with costumer service, you got to meet a lot of people and be friend them) konting tiis lang ... madami ka ding magiging friends jan. it took me more than a year bago ako ma-in sa mga gimiks and stuff. if u have an oppurtunity to work kahit saan, grab it, sayang ang experience na matututuhan mo dun ... at the same time it helps you improve and grow.

Goodluck!

knoty boy! welcome to canada. galing mo naman, winter na winter kang dumating, pero oks lang yun. so, how do you like the snow so far? :winker: anyway, korek sila sourcream and crazy_fool_22. mahirap talagang humanap ng job if you're that choosy. And your location really is a factor too esp if you're in Toronto. Not much in the west , I guess (bias ba? hehe). I suggest that you go for any jobs lang muna for the meantime. At least meron ka pera!!! hehehe..then you can go find better jobs thereafter.

Don't worry about finding friends. Me, 2 years na ako dito pero wala pa rin circle of friends. I don't mind at all. I know it takes time to meet new people in a foreign country. In fact, they will come into your life as the days go by. Just take it easy and enjoy your stay here.

hey i could be ur friend !!! they gave u good advice about finding a job.
so i will talk about friendship. this is just my personal opinion. i think its kinda hard to find and maintain friends here. because of the location. unless u live in the same neighborhood or same building.
2. most people have different schedules
3. its kinda expensive too, most of the things u want to do has something to do with money.
that s all i could think right now.
oooppps dont be discouraged
like anywhere else there are lots of good peolpe here. like here in this thread i know u are all nice am i right ?

chances of finding jobs thru career newspapers are like finding a needle in a hay, well most of the time... try mo classifieds ng Toronto Star Newspaper..

knoty-boy don't bother with those freebie "Career Guides" papers, scam lang yan! Puro telemarketing positions and ads for computer courses lang mga yan! You should pick up a copy of Canada Employment weekly. You can get it at most major bookstores or magazine shops.

I live downtown, about a 15 min walk from Bloor and Yonge.

I highly recommend Canada Employment Weekly.

Ako naman, I was working sa Indigo in their magazines department until about a month ago. I wanted to avoid the Christmas rush plus I just got fed up with retail. I'm planning to get into media, either film or television after school (I'm graduating in April). As of now I'm just here at home, running our home-based business (poppy seed sales on the internet). My husband naman is a system admin at a new company and he's been there for almost 3 months now.

Hello...

yan, me mga friends na ako.... sana nga lang magkitakita tayo, pero wag muna ngayon kasi wala pa akong work eh

one thing bother me though, me nakilala kasi ako dito sa Toronto, Pinoy din sya. Ang sabi nya sa akin, ang mga pinoy (not all) daw dito me talangka mentality (you know hilaan system)... totoo ba iyon???... kasi medyo ayaw ko ng ganon mentality kasi pare-pareho tayong pinoy sa isang foreign land, dapat magtulungan diba? Kaya nga sabi nya, mas maraming mayayaman na Chinese or Indian dito kasi nagtutulungan sila (and I can see it!!! daming malalking bahay dito na ang may-ari Chinese or Indian)...

Well, this is my insight, since bago palang ako dito, hindi ko pa naman ito nararanasan... wag naman sana, hirap naman yata tanggaping iyon kasi sisiraan ka ng kapwa mo Filipino, dapat nga magtulungan tayo diba? what dya think?

ayun lamang po... ingat po sa inyo... lets cheer to out new found friendship!!!!

crazy_fool_22
Dec 4, 2001, 04:58 PM
Don : Hi! talangka mentality? hilaan system? umm... sorry you lost me somewhere... ano meaning non? siraan ba ang ibig mo sabihin?
Well, kung siraan yun, ang masasabi ko lang is i think its a common attitude for some Filipinos.. kasi back sa Dubai (UAE) where I grew up, sa school ko na lang, nako! siraan LAHAT ng mga teachers! and you know what happened?! nademanda yung principal, 11 teachers were also nademanda... sa other Filipino schools doon ganon din and one particular school ended up being shut down forever... sa work ng mommy ko, dami ring naterminate dahil sa siraan... hay nako... ewan ko lang kung ganon din yung ibang tao dito sa Canada, pero I hope not...
anyways, di ko naman nilahat na buong Filipino eh, some lang... yung iba naman nagtutulungan din.. i feel proud nga of my mom kasi nong nandon nga kami sa Dubai, may isang katulong na tumakas sa amo niya (you know, the usual story, amo bad sa katulong) tapos lumapit sa mom ko for help, she said she wanted to go back to manila... well kung iba yung nilapitan niya, malamang sinumbong pa siya sa pulis... but she was sent by my mom sa Phil. Embassy, tapos yun, nakauwi rin ng Pnas... hay... it made me so proud of my mom!
may mga friends din yung mom ko na ganon... kaya hindi naman lahat ng pinoy nagsisiraan.. and you're right, dapat nagtutulungan pa tayo...
naks! i feel so patriotic! :D

anyways about dun sa talangka system .. uhmmmm di mo naman maiiwasan yun eh, but sa work namin wala eh ... kakatuwa nga kse para kaming isang big happy family. pero napapansin ko yung mga ibang pilipino here, kala mo kung sino sarap tirisin as if naman hindi pango mga ilong nila.

like the first time i came here, syempre bago ka pa lang noh, sarap ng feeling pag may nakikita kang kapwa mo filipino .. tipong magiging friendly ka and babatiin mo ... abah meron dito syeeeeeeeeeeeet kala mo kung sino as in tinignan lang kami sabay irap eh we know naman na pinoy sya dahil kaibigan ng mom ko parents nya. she didn't even say hello or whatsoever ... ay naku nadala ako nun, as in mula nun hinahantay ko mambati sa akin yung mga tao but still pa smile smile pa din ako but not like before na magha-hi ka pa :p

ah basta Don, just be yourself ka lang. and be proud of who you are ...

Good afternoon to all!!!

Cha and Marie: so medyo totoo pala ang sinabi ng friend ko, so medyo mag-iingat pala dapat ako.

pinkmoon
Dec 5, 2001, 10:39 AM
Heheh good afternoon din!

May tinutulungan silang babae na gustong mag-apply as resident dito, so they were trying to sponsor her.

Sabi niya it became harder for her husband to trust new people they would meet. Siguro kasi nung nangyari yun, bagong dating palang yung husband niya sa Canada (nauna yung friend ko), so medyo masama yung first experience niya with other Pinoys dito.

Baka hindi sila proud na Pinoy sila kaya kung hindi nila kasama parents nila they don't think they have to be nice to other Filipinos. Sad but true. :(

Pero wag tayong malungkot. Marami naman diyan na mabait rin eh...

Sige, maya-maya ulit!

P.S. Marie: ngek, Rosanna Roces!!!

TO all my Pinoy friend in Canada...

I enjoy reading all your posting... and most of all... BE PROUD TO BE A PINOY!!!!

o well what can you do, not all people think alike hehehhehe ... ahmm bad experience sa mga kapwa pinoy? ahmmm actually di naman sa akin eh, its my auntie's husband na Canadian. You see may mga pinay dito na nangungutang sa kanila but sadly, nag file pa ng bankcrupcty yung 2 pinay .. so ayun tuloy tipong yung Canadian kong "uncle" e mejo bad ang experience sa ibang pilipino but not all of them naman no ...

ahmmm yung mga laki naman dito, naka based naman talaga yun sa pagpapalaki ng magulang eh, keso sabihin pa nila na naiinpluwensyahan ang mga anak nila pag nasa labas ng bahay ... i just don't believe on that saying ... ang mga bata, kahit ano sila sa loob or labas ng bahay, kung maganda ang foundation na itinuro sa kanila ng mga magulang nila ... magiging masunurin at mabait na bata pa din yung mga yun.

but here in Canada, naiintindihan ko din yung mga magulang .. they have to work really hard to support their kids kaya ayun umaasa sa babysit/day care etc etc. Oh well ako naman e point of view ko lang yan ... ayoko magsalita ng tapos but if I'm gonna have kids on my own, tuturuan ko sila ng kung ano natutunan ko sa mga magulang ko .. ang tamang disiplina na galing sa `Pinas.

Im really proud of who I become .. yung mga palo, kurot sa singit hehehhehe etc etc .... it made me a better person.

pis awt !

wow! napaka-patriotic naman ng atmosphere dito...
so far i dont have any bad experience with any Pinoys here in Canada. But I do have one back in Dubai, sa school namin, its a combination of "siraan" and "lutu-lutuan" ng grades.. it was worst than anything.. Its not forgiven and forgotten but I just dont wanna go thru it again! ever!
i agree with you all, that children who didnt grow up in Phil have different attitudes and yeah, it depends na rin sa mga nagpapalaki and minsan circle of friends, influences and all..
i and my sisters didnt grow up in Phil, but we were brought up in a Filipino community, studied in a Filipino school, with Filipino values, had Filipino friends and all... But among us, Im the one who's more interested in visiting and living in Phil since I have experienced living there for about 2 years (just recently). My two sisters are not that interested in visiting, let alone living there! Sometimes I feel sorry for them for not knowing where, when, how and what things about Phil! But even then, like I said, we're still Filipinos and act like one! we still say our "po" and "opo", we still do the "mano" thing sa parents namin, and above all, we still speak Tagalog! Yun nga lang, I cant blame myself, neither my sistahs for acting like snobs at times - hey, we're forced to do so to people who treat us that way.. But we're friendly naman din sa mga friendly sa'min, kumbaga, fair treatment... :D
so ayun.... so much for patriotism.
speaking of patriotism, hehehe! we just had our dinner and guess what we had?! we had fried milk fish, rice and tomatoes with salted eggs!! wow! isnt that so patriotic! :rocker:
:teehee:

Hey Don
Usually a lot of positions open up in time for the Christmas rush. Kaya lang nga usually they're in retail. But not all retail positions are those that will have you working on the floor (i.e. cashier, floor help, etc.) Pagminsan merong ring positions in receiving because this time of year they usually get more stock than usual.

Atsaka Chic_Svelte, what do you mean by maraming opportunists lalo na this time of the year? Please explain.

As for Christmas plans, we're going to my sister-in-law's house for Christmas, as usual. They live about 3 hours east of here. Hehehe country Christmas nanaman dating ko. Sana next year maka-pasko naman sa Pinas.

Don and Marie (heheh parang "Donny and Marie" as in Osmond): Suwerte kayo hindi pa masyadong malamig. Pero usually the thing is, if winter comes late, it means it'll stay longer. Meaning if the temperature doesn't drop to normal temperatures by mid-December, baka hanggang April ang winter natin!!! :bigcry:

Ako din excited sa white christmas pero lungkot din ako kasi wala ako sa piling ng family ko... pupunta kasi sa bahay ng family ng sister in law... well, sort of a family pero ,as ok pa rin kung family mo talaga... hay, am not sure what christmas will it be...

Thanks for the booster marie, I know someday makakahanap din ako ng work... as for now... punta muna ako ng library para basa basa lang...

Chic_svelte: aaah, OK, gets ko na yung ibig mong sabihin. Oo tutoo yon lalo na pag Christmas rush, when people are harrassed and confused.

Pero speaking of opportunists, a couple of weeks ago, a man was going around our building claiming to have been sent by the building management to install chain locks on our doors. Pag-sagot pa sa akin "I'm here to install the chain lock," making it sound as if I requested it. Sabi ko nalang na I didn't get a notice from the building management so sabi niya habang paalis "well, you have to pay for it." Buti nalang I scared him off. I spoke to building management about it and they said that he was been taking advantage of people, and even ripped from old lady off for $69!

So ingat kayo diyan, lalo na sa mga types who take advantage of new immigrants. Like once, there was a story in the Toronto Star about a building management that was demanding an entire year's worth of rent from new immigrants before they could move in. Tenants can choose to do this, but if their landlord demands it, it is illegal.

Well, other than that, how was everyone's day? Ako OK lang. I went to the cemetery across the road with my friend because he wanted to take pictures there. And I cheated on my diet by having a McChicken meal and a hot chocolate from Second Cup! :bonkself:

Tuloy niyo pa ang kuwento!

knoty-boy
Dec 6, 2001, 08:29 PM
Hi there...

grabe pala... buti na lang at hindi basta basta nagpapapasok dito sa building... kahit saan talaga me mga ugok no... well, I need to be 3 times careful kasi mukha akong aanga-anga sa daan....

Desmona: so sa Sheppard and Yonge ka rin ba nakatira? saan ka banda?

Hay, lapit na talaga christmas... inis nga wala akong pera para makabili ng gift, siguro next year nal ang ako babawi... kung me work na ako, am planning to go back to the the Phil next christmas... miss ko kasi iyon eh...

anyway, wala akong masyadong kwento kasi wala naman akong ginagawa dito eh... kung me work na ako, babalitaan ko kayo... ayun lamang po.. ingat kayo

sOurCrEaM: congrats sa bagong job mo!

knoty-boy: sige, we'll pray for you and Tantado. Pero meron lang akong naisip. Have you tried calling up recruiters or getting career counselling? Minsan kasi, lalo na sa fields ninyo ni Tantado, masmadali kung merong "nangbubgaw" sa inyo or at least someone to counsel you on how to re-do your resume, how to get leads, etc. Pansin ko karamihan ng mga IT people dito na at least pang intermediate na position, merong recruiter. Hello to everyone!

Join na rin ako dito. Previously I was posting in the other Canada forum. Puwedeng magtanong:

Bawal ba?
2. Sino sa inyo may subscription sa TFC via satellite? OK ba yon? May local Canadian channels ba?
(Right now I'm using Fido).

O maiba naman ako, are you all proud of being here? Kung may choice kayo, where would you rather live... Australia or Canada?

pinkmoon
Dec 8, 2001, 10:01 PM
hi bodiemon!

Bawal yung HBO and MTV dito because of Canadian content laws. Pero the various HBO series are being played here naman eh. Bravo plays SATC, CTV plays The Sopranos (they play it uncut with all the cussing and nudity and violence -- on prime time network TV!), Showcase plays Oz, TMN plays Arliss and I think Mind of a Married Man. I'm sure meron pang iba.

Wala akong subscription to TFC pero balita ko sa kadami-daming spam ni lancel dito sa Filipinos Everwhere forum, available na siya in Canada for cable ata, naghahanap lang sila ng magdidistribute.

I don't know about Bell pero alam ko puwedeng magtext sa Pinas using Fido.

Well, as for being here, wala akong masyadong choice since I did not immigrate here independently, because I married a Canadian. At first nahirapan din ako dito pero things are picking up now. Plus, for once in my life, feeling ko I'll be able to involve myself in politics and what not, so I can't wait to become a citizen so I can have the right to vote. I'm actually kind of impressed with their system here, too bad nga pagminsan palagi nalang kulang ang pera for various social services. At saka I don't know anyone who migrated to Australia or NZ so I haven't heard about the opportunities or quality of life there. Here naman, iba iba ang naririnig ko about the plights of various Pinoys. Pansin ko mostly dito sa Ontario they're not as upwardly mobile as those in other provinces like Manitoba and Alberta, for example. This country kasi is so huge, it's almost as if the situations in the other provinces are really different.

Well yun lang!

Uuwi kami dun sa mother-in-law ko for the weekend!

See you guys Sunday night or Monday!

bodiemon: none that I know of ... ang alam ko lang sa service ng bell about sa text eh --> it sucks! :p seriously, pag texting ang usapan talagang all praised ako sa fido. ahmm about sa cable, sorry can't help you with it, I don't like watching TV at all e, friends lang nipapanood ko and that's it *paano lagi ako babad sa pc lols* hmmm about naman sa tanong mo regarding kung masaya ba ako dito .. yes I am, but matagal ako nakapag-adjust bago ko ma-appreciate yung ganda ng lifestyle dito. Kaya para doon sa mga tipong gustong magsisi or mag give up, isa lang masasabi ko ... keep on trying .. makakayanan nyo yung obstacles and trials ng adjustment and other stuff. I couldn't answer kung maganda sa Australia coz I haven't been there. kse para sa akin, iniisip ko yung stability ng future ko ... yung mga magiging anak ko. they will have a better future here, but I would still of course introduce them kung saan kami galing na bansa ... though I love this country, I am still a proud Pilipino. */me pisil ilong PANGO pa din yan lols*

crazy: ahmmm ang alam nde ako 100% sure kung meron na silang 8200 series *but alam ko meron eh*, I was in fido store kanina *im eeying on the 3390 kaso sobra mahal e $200, $75 lang sya kung magsasign up ka kaso meron na akong account dun kaya no use, i dont want to sign up naman ng new account para lang dun* :p ahmm nakikita ko kseng 8200 series nasa Rogers kaso panget naman ang service nila but I heard from my friend na sales representative ng Rogers na magkakaroon na sila ng GSM na phone so pwede na maka-txt like sa fido, but still I'm not sure kung kelan.

sarap magdecorate ng xmas tree noh? i was done with our xmas tree last week and almost every night sarap magemote sa harapan ng tree ... patay lahat ng ilaw except the lights of course na nasa xmas tree with matching xmas songs haaaaaaay sawap complete na sana kung andito lang yung mahal ko :(

Hehehe). Nagustuhan niya kasi yung ham nung nag-Christmas siya sa Pinas a few years ago. Question ko lang is: paano i-serve yung ham? Naaalala ko Christmas morning my lola serves left over ham at breakfast fried with some sugar, sarap! Thanks!

At saka regarding sa EB, sure game ako! Sino-sino ba yung nasa GTA? Si knoty-boy, desdemona, ako, crazy_fool_22, TanTado. Sino pa ba? Well, let's plan it one day...

Sige, hopefully maka tulog na ako nito! Have to catch the bus to Newmarket pa tomorrow morning!

hello...

nung sa Pinas ako, palagi kaming nagluluto para sa mini-reunion namin... mostly spaghetti, meatball, fried chicken... salad... etc...etc.. first time kong mawawala for christmas... lungkot nga ako eh, pero kung me work na ako, malamng nex year umuwi ako for christmas... sana!!!!

regarding sa EB... sure thing.. call ako dyan... pero sana kung me work na kami para ok..

ayun lang po... tulog na rin ako... I'll be dreaming of a white christmas... ingat kayo... bye

Salamat sa comments and opinion nyo....

Sinisisi niya ako kasi kinukwento ko mga negative and weird things na nakikita ko dito eh tumira din siya once sa Australia so kapag nag-compare notes kami eh talo ako. Anyway not a serious gap or problem naman. Personally eh it seems OK naman dito.

hi bodiemon! as for the TFC channel... wala kami dito, but i've heard that magkakaron na, or baka meron na... when we were in Dubai meron kami TFC, kaso the problem we had with that was, kung TFC lang cable mo, TFC lang talaga mapapanood mo and no other channels! kakasawa! that was how it worked for us back in Dubai.. I dont know lang dito..
and as for Australia... I've heard, take note, heard only that discrimination is really high in Australia.. I dont know if you've heard about this news which happened only this year: there was a Filipino family in Australia who was massacred... im not sure kung nasolve na yun (ala na kasi kami TFC kaya ala na kami balita)... but many filipinos believed that it was due to discrimination.. anyways, it was only a belief, but because of that, we know many filipinos who withdrew their application for Australia. That much is all I know.
And If I were to choose between Canada and Australia, I'd choose Australia only because its nearer to Phil.. But I'd prefer Canada... ewan ko, para kasing mas-ok dito..

pinkmoon: sorry, cant help you with the ham, all i know is how to fry it... my mom usually does the cooking during noche buena. :D im not sure what we're gonna have for noche buena this Christmas, but usually, simple lang... share kasi kami ng neighbours namin eh... malamang may fruit salad, cake of some sort and... chicken! :lickout: pero tanong ko bukas kay mommy...

sOurCrEaM: i went to a fido store kanina and i inquired about the 8200 nokia series and sabi nga nila di daw nila carry yun! sayang!! but if magiging gsm na ang rogers and pede na gamitin yun to text sa pnas, i might have a chance to buy one!! i noticed that fido cells only 4 kinds of cellphones.. i can take 3390 coz im much familiar with it since 3310 yung dating cellphone ng sis ko.. pero inlove ako don sa motorola na $600!! kaso if i buy that malamang butas bulsa ko!! wawa naman ako sa new year, ala pera! :unhappy:

knoty-boy: sure! IN ako dyan sa EB thing... just tell me when para maayos ko sched ko (naks! feeling busy kuno!)

Hey guys!

How was everyone's weekend? OK naman OK, bumisita kami sa mother-in-law ko in a town called Tottenham, about 20 mins from Newmarket. Yep crazy, the same Newmarket, the one that's just after Aurora. What we do kung umuuwi kami dun sa mom niya is take the GO bus from Finch station to the Newmarket GO Bus station tapos sinusundo kami dun. :sleepdrool:

Hey, knoty-boy, thanks for yung sinabi mo tungkol sa Chinese Ham. Naalala ko tuloy yung matamis na sauce.

OK have a good work week, everyone!

NO WAY!

Hi guys!

Mmmm mukhang masarap yung humba na yun ah. Sounds like paksiw nga. Matamis-tamis ba yung humba?

My husband had his office Christmas party last week.

Ako naman when I was working at Indigo last year, yung Christmas party namin was held in January! Kasi naman pagretail, nightmare ang Christmas season! Kaya umalis ako last month palang kasi gusto kong ma-avoid yung craziness!

Hey mga taga-Toronto, EB tayo soon, before Christmas! Hehehe. Pero seryoso ako, layo pa kasi ng summer eh, at saka mukhang kailangan natin ng little pick me up lalo na para sa mga first time na magpapasko dito. Think about it and let me know kung game kayo!

By the way, I don't know if you've heard pero the National BUdget was released yesterday. They said because of the current economic situation, small to medium businesses are being allowed to defer their taxes for 6 months so that not as many will close or will be in trouble. I don't know kung talagang magkaka-affect yan sa economy as a whole pero I guess it sounds a bit comforting.

Meanwhile yung friend ko naman who just moved to Calgary just got a job and he didn't even need to use any references daw kasi sabi niya it's so different raw in Alberta, the jobs are falling off trees. He said that despite many setbacks caused by the Sept. 11 attacks, bira pa rin ang Alberta maski na tourism is a major industry right now. Hindi nga siya makapaniwala kung dito sa Ontario toursim went down after Sept. 11 samantala doon sa Alberta sige pa rin. The company he works for now is in charge of networking for hotels and resorts. Just goes to show how different it can really be for the different provinces!

crazy_fool_22!!! Hold on to your wallet! That tax thing I mentioned I said was just for small and medium businesses, not individuals! The government is allowing them to defer their taxes for 6 months to help the economy and to prevent layoffs and stuff. Unfortunately they decided that they won't be giving tax cuts to individuals this year because they are focusing on businesses which we all know are doing quite badly.

crazy, bakit hindi ka puwede sa gabi? Sayang, I was hoping pa naman sana a night time gimmick. Anyway let's wait to hear from the others.

Well I had sort of a lousy day today. Ang dami kong hassles with my printer and other things, on top of that when I went to the post office to pick up a package from the states, I had to pay $10 in customs charges! Stupid kasi yung nagpadala, she overdeclared the value kaya tuloy I paid more than I should have.

Hope everyone had a better than me! And well, sorry to hear about not getting the day off, crazy! :(

Sabi nila, regular exercise helps you to sleep at night para matutong mapagod yung body mo sa tamang oras.

hello...

Hey guys, this Saturday is too soon for me. I was hoping siguro next Saturday kasi may plano na kami ng hubby ko.

Hey knoty-boy, sabi ko sayo your body is finding it hard to adjust to the winter hours, kaya ganyan ka matulog. Lalo na ngayon, first winter mo pa naman at wala kang regular schedule.

Anyway guys, for the EB I was hoping to meet somewhere downtown like Nathan Philips Square to check out the people ice skating or whatever then walk west towards Queen St. or maybe go down to Kensington market/Chinatown area. Maganda ang Kensington market for those of you who haven't seen it yet. Hehehe.

Kung OK sa inyo yung next Saturday, sabihin niyo lang para puwede na natin maarange ang meeting time and place!

Kaya lang titigil din yata sa weekend. O eto may questions na naman ako, pasensiya na kayo dahil its my 1st winter here eh:

- totoo ba na mas nakakakalbo ang snow kapag laging napapatakan ang ulo mo? (as compared sa shower with hot water)

- kinakain nyo ba talaga ang snow at ginagawang halo-halo

Lapit na ng pasko... Merry Christmas to all of you!!!

hi guys!!
wow!! did you have fun sa snow today?? :bounce2: we had fun shoveling the snow from our driveway! hehehe!!
:confusing: ngayon ko lang narinig yung ganong tanong mo bodiemon, yung about sa hair thing... ang alam ko lang is more brittle ang hair and prone to split ends during winter lalo na when you go out there with wet hair.. other than that, ala na ako alam....
and as for the halo-halo... :D i was just joking around before about making halo-halo with the snow... my mom would kill me of i did that!

gudmawnin peeps ... hay naku another day ... work na naman kahit saturday na work pa din  anyways, 2 weeks na lang naman and i'll be gone sa place na yun .. wohooo no more wendys, no more burgers, no more fries and especially no more costumers na magcocomplain ng kung anu-ano.

I already got the another job that I am applying for. Na-finalized na kahapon and this Tues. na ang start ko woohoooo lols. Crazy/Knoty: Data ENtry yung job, all you have to do is type type type hehheheh its kewl tsaka sobrang lapit sa amin, not unlike sa wendys 45 mins pa sa bus.

Anyways, musta na kayong lahat? glad its weekend uh? haaaay for those people na walang pasok this weekend buti pa kayo, and to those naman na meron ... di bale pera din yan lols

I really had a very crazy day yesterday. We almost got into a car accident. It's just a matter of seconds ... it could have been us. You see kahit gaano ka-careful and responsible ang nagdadrive kung meron pa ding jerk sa road, accident can still happen.

So ayun nga, we came from work. He was driving smoothly, while I was in the passenger seat talking about how glad I am that off ako ng friday.

Then suddenly his mom called him, kaya nag slow down pa sya lalo, and mind you nasa GREEN light kami kaya natural na kami ang mag-go-go then ayun nga ... there was a black honda sa right lane *nasa left lane kami eh* na nauna na sa amin coz green nga kami, then ayun wala pang ilang minuto there was a silver car from our left side *na nasa RED light* na nagspeed up .. so you got the picture? nagcollide yung dalawang car, as in umikot pa nga yung black honda. Grabeeee as in parang movie. We're all in shocked. Then I called 911 nakakabuwisit pa sa 911 ang dami pang tanong. Then ayun police came. Good thing walang nasaktan *its miracle kse tindi ng pagka-crashed nilang dalawa eh* bad thing is yung nag speed up na nasa red light, ng bumaba sa car nya hindi man lang nagtanong kung ok yung nabunggo nya. Ayun nagfreaked out na dun na nasa GREEN light daw sila. It was horrible! SO ayun nakipag argue ako.

Owelz that's for one day lang lols ... anyways, gotta go .. work na naman ggrrrrrrrrr ingats kayong lahat and have a very safe and good weekend.

sOurCrEaM: grabeeehhh!!! Buti naman OK ka lang!!! Some people talaga! Naku talaga, some people!

If that was true eh di lahat ng mga born dito kalbo, di ba? Only genetics and illness play a role in hairloss. Sabi mo 5 hours ka from Toronto?

Sa mga first time mag winter, gulat ba kayo kahapon? Ako gulat eh. Biro niyo nung isang araw 10 degrees tapos the next day halos blizzard. At first akala ko wet snow lang kasi it wasn't that cold naman pero nung gabi grabe yung buhos. Last night nga my husband and I were going to a party so we called for a cab. Sabi raw 1 hour yung wait!

Mumurahin mo ring snow na yan when you leave for work in the morning one day and your car and driveway are snowed in and you have to shovel! Pero for now, sige have fun na muna :D

Oo customer service rin ako pero never again! Grabe talaga. Pero sabi ng isang former co-worker ko, after she left Indigo to be a sales rep for Xerox, namiss niya rin yung interaction with people. Kasi dun sa new job niya she just conducts sales calls over the phone. So bumalik siya sa Indigo on weekends.
Sabi ko bumalik lang siya sa Indigo kasi she misses working with books and working with people. Sabi naman niya that she doesn't need a second job, maganda yung bayad atsaka yung benefits package sa Xerox pero medyo bago lang siya sa Toronto, galing northern Ontario kasi so she doesn't mind working all the time para hindi siya lonely. Nung gagawin nga siyang cashier, sabi niya kung hindi siya ibabalik sa floor magquit nalang raw siya kasi hindi niya naman kailangan yung pera, gusto niya lang makipagtrabaho with books and people. Nung pumunta ako sa party na yon and saw my other co-workers, yung iba sa kanila left Indigo na rin after me because they got better paying jobs pero bumalik na rin sila sa Indigo maski na once a week lang kasi miss rin nila yung mga books at saka close kasi yung mga workers doon eh, but not necessarily kasi gipit sila sa pera.

Yung iba naman, yeah they have to have two jobs pero depende naman sa situation mo eh at saka yung trabaho. Eh sa retail and service industry naman kasi, karamihan minimum wage ang bayad kaya kailangan pag minsan may extra kang pagkikitaan. Kasi pag-icompare mo naman yung ibang jobs out there, like entry-level corporate jobs or jobs like nursing, siyempre masmalaki ang bayad. So if you want to earn as much as a nurse pero retail or service industry job na hourly wage ang puwede mo lang pasukin ngayon, siyempre kailangan dawala-dalwahin mo yan, right? Tingnan natin si crazy_fool_22 after 3 years or so pag RN na siya, her earning power will triple and she can say goodbye to Harvey's, o di ba?

Regarding dun sa openings sa Indigo, kung tinatanong mo yung mga position as sales staff, medyo huli ka na kasi nung October pa sila nagsimulang mag-hire for Christmas staff at karamihan dun temporary lang. Regarding naman dun sa stockroom or receiving positions, balita ko may bagong database silang ininstall na ngayon masmadali na ang trabaho kaya they are cutting hours sa receiving so obviously hindi na sila naghihire. Advice ko sayo is to look in the papers for openings na ganon.

At saka OK naman mag dala ng friend sa EB, of course, the more, the merrier!

Hey guys!

Haaay, well, at least I guess pista ako ngayon...buti nalang kaya pa naming bayarin yung double order na to, otherwise, naku talaga...

when im on cash, i usually double check the orders of my customers kasi ayoko ring magkamali and magka-void, and shempre ayoko ring mapagalitan! pero there are times na hindi mo talaga maiwasan yung mga weird people!! hahaha!! funny, last Sunday there was this guy who came in to Harvey's and sabi sa'kin, "can i have a quarter pounder meal please.." hahaha!!

knoty-boy: i work at Harvey's Aurora - a pretty far place from yours... yeah, i know, trip ko rin ang Harvey's especially its fries and crispy chicken!! meron din kaming Swiss Chalet, parang jollibee and greenwich :teehee: have you tried eating at Swiss Chalet? sarap din don, kaso ayoko lang ng fries nila :nope: as for Mcdo... i never really liked their burgers coz when i was in Pnas, Wendy's lover ako eh! and as for pickels, nako! pwede kang magpaka-sawa sa Harvey's non basta irequest mo lang na extra-pickles on the side or wherever you may want it! *okay*

Hey knoty-boy!

Grabe hilig ka pala sa burgers no! I suggest you try this restaurant called Licks, meron niyan sa may Yonge and Steeles ata. Basta somewhere between Finch and Steeles along Yonge. Masarap raw talaga burgers nila dun.

By the way knoty-boy, I had an idea regarding sa situation mo. Kasi ako rin when I first moved here naramdaman ko rin yung depression. Sa case ko kasi, hindi pa ako landed immigrant nun so I couldn't work or study then, plus first Christmas away from Pinas rin, plus my husband was still grieving the death of his dad.
So my husband and my mother-in-law went to the Salvation Army for counselling and they had a program there that was designed for new immigrants or people who did not know how to get back into the system like those who just got out of rehab or whatever. Sabi nila yung case ko naman wasn't that bad pero confused lang talaga ako and I didn't have any goals set for myself so they helped me figure out what it was I wanted to do. So linista namin and they helped me see that I accomplished them one at a time. Also, napansin nila na frustrated ako kasi wala akong magawa sa bahay, so they asked me if I wanted to volunteer dun sa kanila. So I did, I parang became an assistant sa volunteer director. Then when I was able to get a temporary working visa (while waiting for my permanent residence application to be processed), I applied at a temp agency and was able to use the staff at the Salvation Army as references. I was still able to use them as references at my last job pero hindi ko na sila puwedeng gamitin kasi they've been reassigned to other places na. Pero maganda yung experience ko dun. They really take volunteerism seriously now and count it as job experience. So suggestion ko sayo is, habang wala ka pang trabaho, try to do some volunteer work. I'm sure you'll feel better and makagain ka pa ng experience.

I have to be up before 6 am

haaaay, anyways, ayun I started my job na as production staff nga sa isang Business Data Services, doing data entry. susme sakit naman po ng daliri ko sa kaka-type ng mga kung anu-anong numbers. Then after nun dumederetso nga ako sa work ko sa Wendys na nakakapang-init naman po ng bunbunan mga kasamahan ko dahil sobranggggggggg tamad!

I dunno kung kaya ko pa din syang i-handle but I'm already freaking out. I'm having a hard time na gumising ng umaga coz basically dating ko sa bahay e 1 am then mga around 2 pa lang ang tulog ko kse nde ka naman talaga makakatulog agad. Then waaaaah gigising kaagad after ilang hours. Kabuwisit kse Manager namin sa Wendys e. Ayaw ako bigyan ng shot hours as in gusto full time pa ako e nagquit na nga ako. yun daw ang "2 weeks of hell ko" susmaryosep baka bago matapos ang 2 weeks e lumpo na ako. It's too hard to adjust but I just have to bear with it.

Knoty, kewl ka lang ... ok lang yang nafefeel mo i mean it's natural wag ka masyado papadala. Try mo yung sinabi ni pinkmoon, try mo mag-volunteer, it will helps. And one more thing try to stop comparing Pinas sa Canada, kse the more you think of it, the more you feel frustrated ... after nun madedepressed ka na hanggang sa magsunod sunod na yang mga negative thoughts. It's a bad habit. Don't bear with the fact na wala kang trabaho sa ngayon kse nga mas lalo kang mafufrustrate. Basta take it easy ... everything eill fall into places

I broke up with my boyfriend coz of the long-distance thinggy but hehehhe look now, bf ko taga pinas din

Huuuwawww talking about food huh? nakuuuuu namnam kaso nde ako burger fanatic eh.

Waaaaaah speaking of chicken ... ala na kami ditong church chicken sis crazy .. as in nde na nila benebenta waaaaah :bawl:

hay naku nagugutom na ako sya ako e hahayo na at me pasok pa ako sa wendys. ingats kayong lahat

Pinkmoon... Is it Catholic church... sorry huh, hindi kasi ako masydong familiar doon eh... can you tell me more about the Salvation army?

Regarding naman sa volunteer... well, plano ko sana, pero wala akong alam na volunteer works eh... me alam ba kayo? sa library kasi matatali ka ng 6 months... eh ayoko naman ng ganon kasi baka magkaroon ako ng work tapos madadali lang iyon bec of the contract...

Food!!! =(

anyway, thank you sa mga advice nyo...

nga pala, me trabaho na ulit si tantado, am so happy for him, sabi ko nga sa kanay na isapsok rin nya ako eh kahit anong trabaho basta wag lang sales ok sa akin... :)

ingat kayong lahat...

I worked at Wendy's before nung nasa Pinas pa ako.

Lalo na sa Tim Hortons, most of the frontliners are so "*****y". Pasalamat sila I can't resist their cafe mocha and donuts otherwise di na ako babalik don.

Bodiemon; ows... what do you mean *****y ang mga tao sa Tim Hortons? so far kasi twice palang akong pumupunta doon, hindi kasi ako coffee lover eh... as much as possible iwas ako doon... can you please tell me more about it? medyo curious lang ako kung paano maging *****y ang mga tao dito? you know, para alam ko kung ano ang gagawin ko...

knoty-boy: hehehe! lam mo bilib din ako sayo eh, galeng-galeng mo mag-cheer up kay Tantado, then you feel hopeless for yourself... basta keep your fingers crossed and soon..... soon you'll get that job!! *okay*
as for volunteer works.... my mom and sis tried doing some.. ang ginawa lang nila was pumunta lang sila sa place mismo and nagprisinta.. yun lang... maysi-sign-an ka lang yatang form or something..

bodiemon: punta ka sa'min, sa Harvey's, ganda customer service namin! what do you mean by *****y? yun bang hindi man lang naka-smile or hindi accomodating? baka stressed out lang sila or something... basta sa'min, everybody is freindly!

sOurCrEaM: okay lang yan! di bale, 2 weeks na lang diba? ganyan din yung manager namin, super demanding! like for example na lang today, 10:30am-5pm lang ako, pero inextend ba naman ako till 8pm! and gusto pang humirit na till 9pm!! hello?! pagod na kaya ako!
hehehe!! and as for your waking up early in the morning! tsk!! wala lang, buti na lang 9am ang gising ko everyday! :bounce2: di bale itutulog na lang kita! hehehe!

mukang "food" talk tayo ngayon dito ah!!
i've heard about Licks.. but i havent tried it yet... when i get the chance, i will! gusto ko Country Style even when i was in Pnas... di ko lang talaga matripan yung Mister Donut, parang alang lasa for me.. and yung Burger Machine - never tried it in my whole life, pero yung Munite Burger na try ko na.. I love the Cafe Mocha too of Tim Hortons!! the best! and yung chocolate munchkins (yun nga ba tawag don??) nila... hay!! buti na lang kumain na ako, kundi super gutom na siguro ako with all these food talk!

 good evenin mga canoys ... so what's for dinner? hay ako kagigising ko lang bumawi ako ng mga puyat ko nde na nga ako nakapagdinner pero i woke up para lang kumain lols to think na its almost 11 pm na. owelz, i used to work in Tim Horton's din for a year ... well yung mga nasa costumer service kse nde mo naman sila mabiblame kung sometimes eh nagiging *****y sila *apektado hehhehe* :whip:

it's a very stressful job ... pressure from your managers, from the costumers etc etc tapos dagdagan mo pa ng mga super tamad mong kasamahan. kaya ayun may tendency sila na maging snobby *kasama pala ako dun* hehehhehehe but pero yung iba nga naman talagang natural na nila pagiging rude/*****y nila lols

like last night kaya ako nagfreaked out ... coz some costumer were being a pain in the butt. sa wendys kse, iba yung cashier, iba yung runner, yung runner yung responsible sa pagkuha ng mga foods na in-order while the cashier is simply doing cash and taking orders. eh kaso wala naman yung runner ko so natural ako gagawa nun. then there was this guy na nanghihingi ng fries nya, eh susme naman noh ano ako si super woman? e nde ko pa nga tapos yung iba, tsaka bago ko ibigay ang fries aantayin ko muna yung burger para nde naman lumamig ang fries at hindi sila magreklamo. sabi ko na lang "yeah i know" tapos ng inabot ko ang fries sukat ayun nga nagreklamo na lols ayaw daw nya yung fries na yun. ****! i hate those costumer na feeling nila e alila ka nila especially those costumers na GIVE ME THIS. I WANT THIS darnnnnn kakabuwisit  kaya ayun lols as in nasira na mood ko.

hehehhe kaya ayun, well bodiemon there's lots of reason kung bakit feeling mo e *****y yung nasa front lines.

ahmm baligtad naman tayo, when I went back last year for a vacation sa pinas, napansin ko difference ng costumer services dito at sa Pinas. Kahit papano kse mejo matagal na ako dito, kaya ayun mejo sanay na ako na yung pag ikaw ang costumer talagang tipong ikaw talaga yung right, yung manners about saying please and thank you. so ayun nga I went back last year, and punta ako dun sa may MegaMall doon sa may Kamayan ba yun, so I was placing my order then after nun I said please tapos yung babae tinignan lang ako ... then after the order was done I said thank you, sukat ba naman tinignan na naman ako sabay irap lols .. irapan daw ba ako. well i dont blame her kse iba naman doon at iba dito, but i prefer the services here ... much more accomodating and friendly.

knoty-boy: Yung Salvation Army Christian organization siya pero they don't just help other Christians, they help all kinds of people. Usually they have their own offices, hanap ka nalang ng office malapit sayo. At saka if you explain to them your situation, they might not have to make you commit to a certain amount of time. Nung nag-join ako nun, they just made me sign a standard waiver promising that I will wear proper clothing, shoes, follow procedures, etc. and I explained na I can only work for them until I was able to apply for a job and agree naman sila.

Try mo rin mag-search on the net for other types of volunteer jobs.

Basta along Yonge between Sheppard and Finch. Malaki yung sign niya parang maydilang nag-lilick, hehehe.

Hey guys, mukhang low turn out pa tong EB natin. Siguro next time i-plano natin mga a month ahead of time para siguradong-sigurado tayo sa attendance. *okay*

Sige have a good day everyone!

Bad news to those who have intentions of migrating to Canada. The Toronto Star reported that a new immigration law has been passed restricting immigration to Canada:

OTTAWA — Thousands of immigration applicants may find themselves disqualified under new rules that come into effect next June.

The new rules will apply retroactively, disqualifying some applicants who would have made it under the old rules, a senior immigration official confirmed yesterday.

The immigration department yesterday released its detailed package of proposed regulations to flesh out the new immigration law that was passed last month.

The Canadian Bar Association, the national organization representing Canada's lawyers, reacted with horror.

"The government is basically going to wipe out hundreds of thousands of applications and keep the money,'' said lawyer Ben Trister, head of the immigration section of the bar association. "Under the new point system, unless you have very, very close family here and a job offer, you're not getting in.''

Yup, read that article, I feel sorry for the rest of the people who want to migrate here. There's another article regarding the reaction of the Immigration Minister that they only want to get the brightest, best... talk about partial discrimination...

Pero, come to think of it, medyo matatalo na naman ang Canada nya eh... one thing... kung kumuha sila ng the brightest and the best people around the wolrd... malamang, more than 50% na nag-migrate noon at naging Canadian citizen pupunta ng US... kasi they think that US is far more better off than Canada.. well in terms of lifestyle and everything (well, I know som of you disagree, pero marami akong nakakausap na ganon ang ginagawa nila, foe easier access baga)... Lastly, medyo mahirap naman yata yung isang requirement nila kung wala kang close famliy member na nakatira dito (am talking about "that they must have an job offer before coming here)... medyo mahirap nga mag-apply dito eh (just like me), tapos iyon pa ang isang requirement nila... then tinaasan pa nila ang passing points... mahirap ng maabot iyon...

well this is my insight, medyo hindi ako sang-ayon doon, pero try natin di ba? baka mali lang ang akala natin...
