Any Pexers engaged in the Water Delivery business? I personally am not involved in it, nor do I plan to, but a friend of mine seems to be gungho on the idea, and he says his demand for bottles is going up.

I'd like to help him along and prepare him for the eventual risks, etc.

From what I know Your initial investment is basically for the containers themselves, the dispensers should you choose to get those as well, and from there it's a matter of refilling the water bottles for around P225 or so, and selling at whatever price.

If any one here has had experience in this field, what are some of the obstacles you've had to overcome, and perhaps what advice could you give a fledgling water-delivery-business-entrepreneur? :)

Nag-iisip ako ng racket, mukhang ok na racket ito.

Purified water at PHP 9-12/gallon

Any comments, ideas or feedback on how to start a business like this?

One of the next big things is "BOTTLED OXYGEN". My sis is into it but it hasn't taken off yet.

Bottled water made money because of polluted water. We all know how bad our air is.

water refilling stations is good if you find the right place to set it up. depende talaga sa location.

friend ko nag ROI in a year and a half. shes on her second outlet na. business is good lalo na pag walang tubig or marumi.
(yep, saan ka naman kukuha ng tubig pag walang tubig sa sector mo?) she set up another outlet sa ibang lugar naman. that way she can suply her first outlet pag water shoratge.

and panahon ngayon.. you dont wait for customer to walk up to your store..... hanapin mo sila. My friend also delivers water to restaurants and offices on a regular basis. pag aasa ka lang sa paligid mo di ka kikita.

may kilala ako nag bukas ng grocery supply sa blumentritt..
ang daming kalaban doon.... what he did was he approached all the canteen, restaurants, turoturo...in his area and nag alok siya ng mga basic supplies like cleanser, pads, cooking oils etc, with free delivery pa...maliit sila pero constant, dito siya nagkaroon ng niche in the market.

so para sa akin... Product......Place and emphasis on Marketing...
pag pinasok mo ang water refilling station... pagisipan mo ang marketing.... this will make the difference... aside from finding a really good place.

I am planning to put up this kind of business, but the thing is that I really don't know anything about it. I was hoping that you people could help me out.

I have several issues that need to be resolved:
1. How saturated is the market with this kind of business? Will I still be able to penetrate it?
2. How much capital do I need?
3. How long will it take me to get my capital back?
4. Any tips/strategies on this business?

I would really appreciate any help that you could provide. Your suggestions are very welcome. Thanks!

I think twelve_12's initial post gave rise to a good discussion shortly after it was written. Unfortunately all of the replies were lost in the crash. I am hoping these replies can be rescued and added here soon.
