I read all the four books (my son has read them too). Very easy reading. Very engaging too. I am also a stephen Donaldson as well as a Piers Anthony Fan.

The movie version (I have only seen the previews) looks nice. Most of the time a movie based on a book looks very different from what you imagine while reading. However, this one comes close.

Have you visited the website. Verrry nice. Try playing the games.

Did you notice, in the movie version, Hermione does not wear glasses? Dapat meron dba?

Tapos the Giant looks like a WWF wrestler. Sana si Shrek na lang hahahahahahah.

Try mo sa Toy Kingdom (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Malfoy, Snape and Quidditch Harry). Pero wala doon iyung mga premium action figures (Hagrid, Troll and Fluffy), punta kang Virra Mall for them. Hindi pa nare-release yung kina Dumbledore, Remeberall Malfoy at Professor Quirrell. Tapos wala pa akong nakikita na Invisible Cloak Harry.

The Harry Potter Trading Card Game is available in Pocket Colletor, Comic Quest, etc...practically places where you can buy those Magic and Pokemon cards. A Strater Deck costs 700 while Boosters costs 160 - 199 depending on the store. If you are serious about the card game, I would suggest that you buy a whole box of boosters for about 5,200 which is 2,000 lower than buying them separately in boosters. Makakakuha ka pa ng 13 holofoils sa isang box. These holofoils cost from $7.00 each to $20 (Harry Potter holofoil yung $20). If you want I can sell you some of my common cards for 5 bucks each and 1 peso for each lesson cards. :)

about the harry potter & the sorcerer's stone movie:
i read sumwhere that warner bros gave j.k. rowling complete "powers" to do anything she wants for the movie,that is, all Englsih actors & no or little changes from the book.
Hagrid is smaller than what I was expecting, maybe they couldn't find a bigger Hagrid, The one playing Snape is a good actor (i just forgot his name but I watched him in DOGMA)

Binili ko lahat sa Virra Mall. Posted price is 450, pero pwede kang tumawad hanggang 430.

Nakapunta rin ako dun sa Book Fair. Doon ko nabili yung 3 & 4. Mura 'no. Now nagpapbili ako ng HP bookends para husay na yung collection ko.

Mahal talaga. :) But mababawi mo rin yung ginstos mo kasi a complete 116 card costs around $300 in the market. :)

I hate the fact that they're coming out with a movie for it. and merchandise. The whole point of why Harry Potter is magical is because every reader has his or her image of Harry and the goings-on in their own minds. And having a movie just wrecks your imagination. Kakainis.

Don't know about you but the movie seems to be quite what I envisioned (at least based on the preview) with a few exceptions. You can almost expect that this will be one of the biggest movies of all time (if you base this on its book sales plus pass - on readers).

Hi! I've read all 4 books about 2-3 times na. Hinihintay ko nga dati na lumabas yung softbound na books 3&4 kac very expensive yung books. buti na lang nagmagandang loob kuya ko na ibili ako kundi hanggang ngayon naghihintay pa ko. :)

It went fine. Just a few games and so to show how it is played.

I don't know where the next one is, but demos are every week on a selected place. I will ask around and see where it will be next. I think after the Harry Potter movie comes out, the card game will be in full promotion. :)

hi peeps! i saw HP earlier this evening, it was truly fun to watch. the quidditch scenes were briliant. the girl playing hermione is just perfect for that part. an hour before the scheduled showing, people were already lining up. i even overheard conversations from some of the staff members of the theatre that the HP tickets were sold out for the night and people were buying tickets in advance. i just can't imagine selling all those tickets since there are 22 alloted showings for today. basta, it was remarkable. call me bias pero i loved watchin' every minute of it.:D

OK. OK. So I like HP a lot. I've read all 4 books at least 4 times each. My God. I am sick.
A few questions:
1. Why not use the veritaserum sa trials on the death eaters to prove that they were doing everything on their own accord?
2. Hindi ba napag-aralan na nila ang tungkol sa werewolves b4 Lupin came? 1st year: assignment (or some work anyway) for Prof. Quirell How to Cure Werewolf Bites (or something like that) 2nd Year: Meron sila nung book nung prof nila about werewolves. (For the life of me I suddenly forgot everything about HP...)
3. and others I just can't remember right now...

From what I've seen, it will be a cool movie. We're watching it tomorrow. Gwapo lang si Daniel pagnakaayos. Did you see his pic when he was running? Oooops, don't flame me, just teasing you guys! :) The girl who plays Hermione is actually very nice-looking. Front teeth's not big enough, though. I like Rupert Grint. Though his hair is not red enough, he's also not tall enough. Oh well. Can't have them all...
